He was at a convention in my hometown of Victoria BC, and I chatted with him a bit about strongman stuff, and he mentioned it. I WANTED so badly to spill the beans on the Sunday livestream, but figured it wasn't my place. Side note Hafþór Isa very well spoken person, and nice to fans and random strangers. Won me over.

Thor definitely has a strong chance at winning and I think will definitely podium for sure. With the events and if Tom competes... it will be a really close battle I think between Tom, Mitch, and Thor. Even if Thor's overhead isn't top notch... he's so strong in pretty much all the other events. Mitch's work capacity though I think is what will make him contend for first place. His ability to push through 8 events over two days and perform at a top 3 level at each of them with the chance to win a couple (power medley and fingers into stairs I think are his to win)... he could very well pull out a first place even if he isn't the strongest in every event.

@@flovin123 jus googled the show results. 2019 ESM Thor went in with a 9.5 point lead and only did 3 stones, so without watching footage I'm assuming he just did enough to secure the comp win. At 2018 WUS he went into stones with a 5.5 point lead and although I don't specifics for the number of stones or times I'm assuming he pushed it a little more since he was 3rd behind brian and tom. Again without watching the footage tough to say. On paper 2019 WSM seems like the only matchup where thor was really gunning for it but he had also been competing all week with a torn plantar fascia so definitely not at his best. So IMO i'd call them tied on atlas stones but Thor has the clear edge on natural stones

Not sure about the order. If Tom wins WSM ? Will he be fav? If Mitch wins WSM he only needs Strongestman on Earth to claim the BIG FOUR in a 12 month period. I think there should be six or so events world wide on which stats are kept on as many competitions as possible. Stats should help seed athletes like in tennis. Invites should be 70% stats and 30% draw cards and wild cards. I’d also like all mixed comps with coverage left to the media. Want women’s results, then measure them like in a marathon? But I’m a novice, even as a fan. What do you reckon is probs more relevant and better informed❤

I think it is to early to say but the 16 should be: No questions asked: Mitch, Tom, Thor, Andrade and Evan. If healthy and recovered: Trey and Novikov. If they don't underperform on their next few competitions: Luke, Aivars, Ragg, Hatton. Other names that could all be a threat, but still early to say who is the best: Crowder, Hoat, Bobby, Max, Derwinsky, Fojtu, Oskar, Bilton, Shane, Bishop

It might come down between Tom and Thor, with Mitch in 3rd. I expect Mitch to do well on every event bar Keg Toss and Dumbbell (let's just say refereeing at Shaw won't be as lenient as WSM 2023). Having said this, Tom might lose some points on the deadlift so this very well could be a three-horse race.
