4:49 I think I can explain this phenomenon. A shark will normally chase after prey. And ONLY when the prey in question is swimming away from it. However, apparently if prey swims towards the shark, it’ll run away itself out of fear. Because prey is supposed to one from it, not vice versa. They perceive it as a warning

A lot of predator class animals have a natural instinct to chase things that seem to be trying to get away from them. The tip any professional who swims with sharks will give is to not swim away from them frantically because it activates that instinct to follow something that may be sick, weak, injured and is therefore trying to get away. You're supposed to hold your ground when a shark is following you and redirect them using your hand. Similarly with a cougar, you're just supposed to walk backwards and speak in a loud firm voice if they're being aggressive and trying to run you off. Never turn your back or do anything else except keep walking backwards and talking, they'll advance very quickly or pounce. Of course there's some different protocol depending on what kind of animal it is, but many of them do have that instinct to chase whatever is trying to get away.

I am fascinated by people not knowing that shark normally huge babies and some of the cutest deadly creatures. they can frenzy but normally they fear EVERYTHING
