Too young for it, he should be banned from social media for being a 'child', like he claims to be. Easy fix. This dude... I'd seriously ask: You want to do adult things and have adult priviledges? Accept the adult responsabilities too, dude. This means as well to not behave like a child caught lying 24/7. He just seems to flip the script every time he's caught with something, wtf. And he's @'ing the sponsors? This goes beyond "I'm just a child" and straight into malicious behaviour.

9:53 Couldn't agree more. If THIS is evidence of assault, then he needs a reality check, because all he's doing is trying to manipulate people into being sympathetic. And it has nothing to do with him being a man. If a woman was complaining about a boyfriend hitting her like this in a video while she's playing a game, it wouldn't be assault there either.

  • @OldManInternet

@@Chaoskoch I'm not. I'm saying if that video of him complaining about her hitting him was his example of physical abuse, he's an idiot. That's all. I also think the allegations he made against Xeems seem weak, as well as how he was trying to act like he was a child when he started dating her despite him being 22 at the time. I have no idea who Midna is, or her side of the story. I wasn't weighing in on any other aspect of the story, because I'm not invested enough to get into this particular drama beyond what Xeems makes videos on. As a man who's been physically assaulted by my partner before, you're spot on. Now, women's assault doesn't automatically hurt if there's a large physical difference, but it fucks with your head. Theres also the escalation, if she was trying to physically hurt him, she would likely go and grab a weapon to do so with. I had things thrown at me that WOULD hurt me, and was woken up while I was asleep with a slap to the face because that was a way she could get me actually hurt (it worked, I had a black eye for a few days) That slap was mean, but he didn't take it seriously. He only cared about his game. The only reason he cares now is because he can milk it for pity, but at the time he didn't care. If my girlfriend laid hands on me while I was trying to game, that would have been end of game, end of stream, end of whatever I was doing. I'm leaving whatever location we're in, because it fucks with your head. Also, how does this justify anything he did after the relationship? I didn't try to ruin my abusers life, I just left. It took a little bit to get out of there of course but I didn't start calling her family or doxxing her. I cared about MY safety, not ruining her safety.

This should all be offline and handled properly and with actual consequences. Both parties, I don't' talk to or care about either. Both of them should be going to the police, both of them look worse for this and this should never have been brought online. This is to be handled by professionals not online I myself am not old but even I know you go straight to the police with this not on twitter and twitlongers... police can actually stop it, police can actually result down the line in financial penalties and asset removal... this twitter stuff is asinine.

While I do agree with most of the points made here, the uncomfortably laughing to cope is actually a real thing. Remember, not everyone deals with abuse, no matter how small or big it may be, in the same way. So trying to apply the situation of x person to y person is a bad comparison. People don't work that way cause every individual has different behavioral patterns for different situations. It's why some people get stuck in toxic relationships forever, cause they don't have the mindset or the mental strength to just leave like most people would.

Nah the whole "don't assault me i'm playing the game" isn't something to hold against Raijin. At some point you start rationalizing or learn to handle attacks like those in a way that's similar to bargaining or trying to reason with the assaillant. You see that a LOT with male kids who have women hit them, especially mothers. If you mock the attempt (if the person isn't persistent or strong enough to be a danger to your life) or if you try to appear on their side (if they're going at it seriously and you can't respond), you can bury the fucked up situation at hand in your head while continuing what you're doing, to pretend "everything is normal", laughing about it is something men do a lot too. A common example is a child getting up to escape a parent's fucked up accusations/hits and continuing to play their games/read their books/whatever. I'm not saying he didn't do anything to make anyone mad, but I'm saying that just this isn't a fucking problem. I saw it happen to too many people.

More stuff might still happen in the video, but about the part on 11:00 and around that. Victims of abuse sometimes look for escape and reasons for abusers to stop. No matter how stupid it might seem to the outside people, playing a game and using it as a shield could be a way to reduce the ammount of abuse they get. Also, when you tell abuser "stop hurting me" they often enjoy themselves more. There are reasons why people recommend ignoring bullies, but it still rarely works. At least it often reduces the escalation of the problem. It might work as a temporary fix, but it cannot solve the problem. Sadly, an abused person rarely is capable of fully understanding the situation and making reasonable choices as they are already in a spiral that is hard to understand to them and more often than not they just try to survive, rather than fix the problem. I do speak from experience of my school life, it was years ago and I would never let anything like that happen again, but back then I survived around 5 years without trying to fix anything. It was tough and unreasonable, but I knew no better and it might be the case for others too

First I'll say the guy seems nuts, as well as immature. Latter is slightly understandable, given his age, but yikes. But laughing while getting hit is something I did as a child. Step-dad was a terrible person who liked to beat me up from ages 7-11. I would laugh because as I would find out much later, I'm autistic, and it was something I reactively did, which would cause him to hit me harder and more for thinking that "it's a joke". I think it's obviously unsettling how quickly she swung her hands in that clip, like, it was so abrupt and implies a pattern of doing so. But him focusing on the game definitely implies he isn't all that unsettled by it in this specific case of it. It was also technically assault, but if this single instance was the most traumatic thing he's experienced; then it's definitely overblown.

Physical assault of any pedigree that isn't, like, consensually sexual I guess, is inexcusable. I don't care if she's beating his teeth out of his skull or slapping him across the cheek. Putting your hands on someone else in an act of violence is not moral behavior and often blankets underlaying temperamental issues. At the same time chat is laughing at the dude saying he's laughing while getting hit, therefore, it's a jolly good time! When earlier in the same stream he stated that he's prone to nervous fits of laughter, which is something I am also likely to do myself. Dissapointing.

The problem is, it all hinges on Raijin's preface about why he's laughing. You have to believe him, because if you hear that video devoid of context, it sounds very far from some traumatic abusive event as he claimed it to be. Compare that with the Depp/Heard stuff. Anyone with ears could tell how abusive she was, and they needed no context to hear it. Add to that, his actions aren't those of an abused victim, but someone whose first serious relationship ended and he didn't know how to deal with it. He's backpedaled so hard he needs a bike.

thank you for proposing an analytical perspective on the drama, however, I don't think it is our position as outside observers of this internet personage's drama to determine how appropriate someone's response to drama should be. Everyone copes with trauma in their own ways. As for myself, small non-problematic situations became very manipulative and traumatic ultimatums and attacks when i retrospectively realized my 2 year relationship was an abusive one. It wasn't until my current fiancé of 6 years that someone told me I had a subconscious flinch when someone rose their hands at me too quickly. (I'm good now btw, broke that habit!) I bring this up as an example, not that I expect you to care or to garner pity or anything. Hope you understand my intent.@@natebroadus8474

Honestly, I'd be more willing to stay objective if it weren't for his other actions (stalking Midna using various accounts, taking aim at people just for having been seen with her, releasing revenge porn, Etc.). He's damaged his own credibility with the actions he took after the fact. It makes it nigh impossible to believe his version of the story, because, again, you have to believe him for it to hold water. His "evidence" is flimsy, at best.@@drinks1550

He pulls in other ff streamers out of frustration with the space. Honestly, his case sounds believable but probably drummed up some because of him simply lashing out. Some of the shit he's saying is irrational, which only makes it more believable. That doesn't mean he's the good guy in this situation, no, it sounded like they both treated each other like shit but she's trying to act as if she was a perfect angel. He sounds creepy, kinda screwy, maybe obsessive and possessive, and she sounds like she's the type to get fed up with it and would find escape by cheating on him. If it really did end in a mess, it would be because neither individual behaved like an adult about the situation. All of it being petty and childish. Which.. would fit with it being his first relationship. Guys are often always weird about their first too, particularly in the possessive department like i mentioned earlier. Since we're probably never going to know the actual truth, he started with shit, she made it worse, they both hate each other, she hates that his streaming is picking up and is now trying to ruin him years later.

Just saying, as an abuse victim, we often try to downplay what's happening to us. So, him laughing and saying she's going to make him die in the game could be his mind trying to just laugh it off. The fact of the matter is you can hear her hitting him, and nobody ever should hit anyone. I don't know any of these people nor do I care, but the evidence does show she's hitting him, and it would be dumb to imagine she isn't doing this more if she does it while being recorded.

@@Sugar-bz5np Not everyone reacts to it the way you do. I've been in abusive relationships. A lot of times, I often tried to downplay it, I was the person trying to walk on egg shells, I was trying to defend the other person's actions, really it was due to me having a very anti-confrontational personality. I don't really know how to describe it as it's not exactly easy to talk about... but I reacted in ways similar to what this guy is doing in the video. Just sort of internalizing it and rationalizing it, hoping it would make the other person happy or make me feel like I was agreeing with them in an effort to make the argument or abuse stop. I'm not saying the guy here didn't do shitty things, I don't know him and I don't know her. But based on what I heard from the clip, my gut feeling is that this was a mutually abusive relationship and no one's hands are clean. As is usually the case more times than we'd like to admit. Rarely is it so clean cut, black and white, one victim, one perpetrator. I don't think it's fair to just explain away the fact she's hitting him in the clip, or attempt to rationalize it. That's how people avoid accountability. If he did stupid shit, he should be held accountability for it and the same goes for both parties.

@@Sugar-bz5np Who's to say they're both not the abusive ones? And I hate to tell you, "I'm sick of people saying we don't laugh it off" because everyone is different, and yes, there are some of us who do. I may not have laughed it off when I was a child and my drunken military father beat me, but when I was an adult with my ex for six years, I sure as hell would laugh it off because not only was I clearly raised to be a man and just "Deal" with those types of problems in an abusive household, but because I love and cared for my ex and wanted things to work with him. But we all deal with shit differently now, don't we? So saying "We don't do this" is just as wrong as "We Do this," but that doesn't mean there aren't people who do, or don't. And with the Therapy group I was with, coping via humor was just as common as it was to not cope with humor.
