100% agree uber needs to take accountability for this tragic accident. Truly hearbroken for both families!!

Broad daylight, what could go wrong??? HEART BREAKING, but that job is a police matter, not for him as a private citizen AND she was unarmed, I'm heartbroken for her. She was calling police, he must have dementia or something, CRAZY.

I think the reason uber does nothing is the same reason they want all the workers sub contractors. They want to be the 3rd party without responsibilities. Its all about money.

Just stop picking up Packages.

It's dangerous I'm in sydney south west and I'm sure I've picked up some risky packages from people who look kookoos

You can always unassign , tell Uber that you feel unsafe to complete delivery

I turned UberEATS connect off I'm not into picking up random packages from houses.

Dont take private package orders could be anything not worth the risk

I rarely get them, and decline most because they are long distance (like 1.5 hours in a direction, then 1.5 hours back unpaid), but a practice me and some local drivers do is call up the pick up after accepting and ask specifics on what it is we are collecting. Businesses or people doing the right kind of stuff will be open and say exactly what it is..... people doing the wrong thing will be evasive, not answer or wont pick up the call. A friend does this alot and is always messaging me saying "He got all pissed off and said he doesnt need to tell me what it is, and then a minute after the call he cancelled the order" which was a decent indicator it was drugs in his experience. The criminals bank on drivers who dont ask questions
