Great video mate, you got yourself a new subscriber 👍 Assets are vanguard index funds VAS VDHG gold and silver coins/bars Property, collectables, tools to fix bulid things, skills that others don't have. In my opinion those that are investing hard now will be lucky to live a middle class lifestyle in the future.

When i was kid and told property always goes up i didn't believe it, what they should have explained to me is the value of fiat always goes down. So good job there, but its definitely complex, like you could buy a property today and maybe the market isnt as strong as in the past yet it still doubles in the next 20 years, but there no good guarantee that you have preserved purchasing power. Lots of immigration only works while we are highly desirable as a country, which doesn't appear to be our trajectory into the future. On the more optimistic side humanity could have some major technological breakthrough and catapult humanity into an age of abundance, which suggests to me that information and collectables/art would be the best stores of wealth. Regardless of all this self custody of some hard to tax assets like precious metals and crypto seems prudent.

Probably one of the best investments is in oneself and knowledge to adapting to a fluid environment

Only if you can find a greater fool to buy it from you. If you put all the Bitcoin on a usb and threw it into the sea it wouldn't matter, thousands of other cryptos can fulfil the same function.

It's not just about how money becomes worthless. Products and services are also reduced on top of price inflation. It's basically the system that's the problem. The system is out government and how people believe that what government does is for our good and safety. Firstly, we are not entitled to any entitlements. Secondly, tax money is not money for your community. Thirdly, it's not the governments rule to look after our safety. That's why we have high costs. All the crises we face is as a result of government, the fact that we as electors give away our Rights to political parties who have their own agendas and don't represent the people. Labor and the greens are a penne example of the worst we have today. LNP not far behind. Stop voting for these parties If you have money, move it overseas.. other countries well test you better than here

I'm in my mid 50s. Made a ton of mistakes. I have stagnant (my share portfolio) and backwards growth assets (a poor performing managed fund). I can't risk investing in risky assets with only about 26 years left to live (Aussie males die about 83 yrs old), but inflation is killing me. My income stream is too low. But time is running out for me to invest more into risky assets. I don't even buy McDonald's anymore. It's too expensive. A Big Mac, yep, is too expensive. Never thought I'd make that statement. I can't afford a Big Mac. So I keep tightening the belt. If I live to even my 70s my life will be low quality and frugal.
