The hardest thing for me to learn driving Uber Eats is patience. I never accept bad orders, and don't worry about my acceptance rate. I would rather wait for 5-10 minutes sitting still until a good order comes thru. Once I adopted this mind set, my miles dropped and income increased.

I got 200 for like 10 hours I hit a warning it told me I can only go 2 more hours I mean 200 for 10 hours isn't terrible but at 20 and hour it's not worth much with gas and wear and tear om vehicle that was me accepting every order that came through because I'm new at uber eats so I'm gonna start trying to pick certain orders see what happens.

Uber eats needs to refine its distance and pay. I'm 5 minutes away from the restaurant but 13 miles away from the customer for 3.50 ridiculous.

Doing this as part time to my regular job (sitting in an office all day and working from home) is the best thing. Get out, meet people, see parts of town I never saw, find restaurants I never knew existed and the average per hour is about $20 consistently. All a bonus.

I do this as well. I do it on my lunch break, then on my off days, I’ll do a full day of UBER deliveries. Really good side money.

I drive for Uber Eats. It’s decent. But every once in awhile customers tip way beyond the upfront tip. Received a 23 tip for a shop and pay order. On top of the original 18 up front.

one of the best days i had was making $50 in an hour. No extra tips, just big orders that were under 15 mins and very close to each other. that day was a good day.

I almost never except orders below $20 unless I’m in a hurry, but I’ll never go below $15. I think it’s the geological location because I live in the DMV and orders are more abundant. The highest order I’ve gotten was $60. I also make sure the miles don’t exceed the dollar amount. I will leave a hot spot to avoid rush hour traffic and then return after. I never go to fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, etc..!) I never go to places that make you wait at all lol. I never go to places I can’t park. I never accept orders that don’t lead me to another hotspot. I obey all speed limits and I always remember the drinks.

Hey I’m in San Antonio too, in medical center (nothing but apartments), I try $2 a mile and nothing under $5 but sometimes it’s not easy. Some days in 4 hours I’ll get $70, and some days I’ll get like $45. Maybe I need to be a little more picky.

I get crappy offers like that to. Some people don't have a job and are really desperate so they are likely to take it. Also there's a chance for a hidden tip. One day I'm going to order from a restaurant far away and not tip in the app. They show up I'm handing them a $100 tip and say aren't you glad you didn't reject this offer.

Great video! Nothing wrong with being picky with your orders, I do it all the time. I usually take orders $5 and up and low miles, anything less isn’t worth it. Also, at least in my area, fast food or fast casual orders usually stack, so you can have two $5+ orders and those add up quick, especially if you’re quick with delivering!

Thanks for this video. I just started a side gig with DoorDash and Uber Eats (I’m wait listed for Grubhub and Instacart). I’ve noticed that in my area there are very few Uber Eats orders, and I end up declining the few i get based on amount and distance.

I do the math and try to hit orders that come out to 20$ an hour. 15 minutes multiply by 4. 20 by 3 = 60 minutes and so on. I also avoid crappy places. But let’s face it Uber eats sucks most of the time and it is not safe to drive around with 2 or 3 apps rolling. It’s a decent side hustle at best

Great video! I don't understand a few things though and was hoping you could explain. It says let's say $12.58 (includes tip). How can you figure out if the order was $12 and the if only the .58 cents was your tip? LOL. Like how do you know what's a good order for the tip wise?

It’s difficult on Uber to tell how much of the offer is the tip. The lowest base pay in my area is $2 and it may slightly increase depending on a few factors. The best way to look at it is attempt to find the highest paying orders without thinking about how much the tip is

No you don't have to drive there. That's what I call a lot of restaurants close together

if you live in california there is a reason to accept bad orders....the reason is called Proposition 22 (guarenteed minimum)

In east valley of phx i do 100 every 4 hours minimum. Picky but not nearly as nuch because lots of restaurants and stacking for good money. Stopped doing shopping because dont get stacked orders and can take longer

From what I understand you’re only allowed to drive and do deliveries for Uber eats for only 12 hours. Doing Uber eat for 1 month, the most tips I received was 29dollars, a 3 mile distance.

I drive in Tampa and if you wait for 10 dollars for delivery you'll be waiting for hours

I'm my area burger King doesn't start the order until the driver shows up, if there's a line it takes longer. I stopped accepting them. Chick Fil a is too popular and you can't even get into the parking lots.

I live in small town filled with terrible tippers. I receive most my good tips from out of Towners and that is for rides only. I lost money doing Uber Eats. Tried doing door dash to see if they paid better and found the pay was pathetic. Also I hate delivering food during winter, nobody shovels their walks and it is simply a pain in the rear. I only do rides now which makes me far more money and I don't have to constantly jump in and out of my climate controlled vehicle. You food delivery people really hustle for your dollars.

If you got the right set up uber eats deliveries in the winter depending on ya region can make you alot of money. I own a small lawncare company and in the winter I'll keep uber eats on while plowing driveways, plenty of times ive pulled up to drop off food to a customer notice their driveway durning or just after a snow storm hasnt done their driveway yet and ill go "extra 30 and ill slam out ya driveway way." and usually they say yes, some of them even end up having me mow their yard next mowing season too. If I end up with abunch of extra miles taking poo poo orders I usually dont sweat it to much, cause its tons of hours with eyes on my company truck, and I can sneak a business flyer onto the doorknob while im at it.

Would really be helpful to include **examples** of "bad" orders. I see a lot of this talk on KZread but nobody ever posts example screenshots or anything else of these "ridiculous orders". i might get into this in a few weeks -- this is to all of the UE drivers - what are your criteria for good and bad orders? You could help out new drivers with examples of how you decide so we won't waste so much time on underpaid runs.

Bad orders are anything less than one dollar per mile. You have to keep in mind if you were to take a five dollar order for 15 miles, you are going to be out of your zone and have to drive back before you get another order. So realistically you would be driving five dollars for 30 miles. I know DoorDash would love dashers to deliver for charity, but people are out here trying to earn a living, not deliver for free.

Can we talk about Boost zones? I need to take a poll. Who sees them, who doesn’t? How often? How much?

Buy an e vehicle, take every single delivery put on some tunage and treat this like a job not a gig. You want to make money hand over hand give your self a certain area and DONT MAKE Exceptions remember 5 bucks every 20 mins constantly is better than 20 bucks here and there. Also it’s alg based so the more you complete and get good reviews the more likely you are to higher deliveries payouts with shorter distances.

Doing 1st day tomorrow. Just learning what i can here.

Dude Taco bell screwed me last time I took one.. I took it because it was in the direction of a good dash order. They took so damn long I lost the good order and the taco bell order didnt even tip. Waste of time.

UE hides all tips until 1 hours after delivery, because customers can in/decrease tips within that time.

I am doing Ubereats for 3 months making $100 a day but this this job is not stable so i would be looking for another job cos i cant live making $100 a day then i have to pay the gas and the taxes by the end of the year. Also the wear and tear of your car. You are also stuck in the car for a least 8 hours nitpicking order to make $100 if you are lucky.

For me it's the oppoostie... take a bad order. Once youre on the road you get more and before you know it you've made 50 bucks. You have to take one and get out there

I just use uber eats. The worse I have done is 135 bucks in 7 hours. And the best I have done is 240 in 7 hours. I hoover in between both quantities.

I used to get non-stop Walmart requests that I declined, killing my acceptance rate. I finally called Uber Eats and had them remove "store" pick-ups, and only offer me food deliveries. It took 3 different phone calls (each time they told me they changed my account), but they eventually got it right and now I never get Walmart requests. This helped my acceptance rate a lot.

The money was good and the distance was short but I hated the errands anyway because customers were asking me for things that were not in stock and when I did pick a replacement, I was told that if the order exceeded even a penny, it would come out of my pocket. So I stopped grocery shopping and stuck with food.

Weirdly enough in my area the walmart orders have the best pay. I got $15 for less than 3 miles of driving on 2 deliveries.
