Hey Shroom the Georges River is a very underrated river system, being a mangrove system there are big mummy and daddy fishy's that sporn up this river. My favourite areas extend from Alfords bridge to Milperra for Flathead, Jewies, Bream, on hard body's, Luderick are my fav when i'm not on the minn kota and anchor and berley up go on float system. Hey! Why don't you try a movable stopper on a float system? (it's on youtube on how to rig and operate) and berley up try weed or prawns even bread as it would be a blast to see some float downs action on video, the area that you can cover with tidal movement on a float is huge (find bottom first if you move places). Keep up the good work Shroom you have great sense of humour thrown in with some good fishing knowledge there mate, I look forward to every video.....................Oh yeah! learn the zooooooooooom Shroom.🤣

Top catch Shroom, very impressive, and I think it would’ve gone legal. For our session this morning with nippers we had just pumped and small No4 hooks. It didn’t go well, couldn’t get the hooks to stick, then at the end bang, bang, two legal Whiting. One after another. Just between me and you, because there is no such thing as cyberspace, and no there’s not trillions of internet surfers, no. So up till this Summer I had never caught a legal Whiting, now I think I’m up to 7 or 8. Good going for me I can tell you. Yet to go to my no1 Whiting Spot too, around Mid North Coast. Take it easy Shroom and leave some fish for the rest of us mere mortals.

A arm span length Jay, but in snaggy areas I'll put a bit more on top. Depends on the guide size and braid/leader lb as well but if you're finding it a problem, definitely learn another one. Slim beauty is a good one, FG knot is a great one

Keep at it. I've put in probably over 10 000 hours on lures for jewfish over years and years even before KZread. These days there's a lot more information out there so it's just a matter of persisting. They aren't easy but they are out there and the more you drag a lure in front of a fish, eventually one will bite and they are all pretty big as a fish
