Thanks Zaino! They played ball but worked very hard for the live baits. That dusting was something else, it was still in first gear and I couldn't turn it!

This might give you a laugh. I was squidding the other day around the wharf at Mort Bay, near Balmain and a Watsons Leaping Bonito hit the squid jig and wound up getting tail wrapped in the line. That’s the first time I’ve caught that species, too. So, some people can catch Bonito without even trying! 😂

Looks like obelisk you were at, I've had big fish wreck my lines while trying to get livies, I'd suggest around the corner near cobblers instead. Otherwise, good video.

Lucas, I didn't take sea sickness tablets but I was able to hang on lol. It was borderline, but I reckon I'll be much better next time out. I wasn't about to vomit or anything but I did feel it lol

How deep were you fishing

Hey bro do you reckon a 150m spool of braid would be enough for livebaiting or would I be spooled cuz with 50lb braid I can lock up and pump the fish

Yes, it’s enough. Some situations you may need more if offshore or off the stones but I think you’ll be fine

ha.. just watched you measure that Trev and say it was 30 and i was so confused i had to look it up. So in Auz you take the longest measurement. in NZ we take the smallest. so that would barely be a 25cm if that to the shortest part of the tail. I'll have to remember this when im in Aus

Depends on the species, it's just what the regulating body (DPI Fisheries) dictates so they make the rules

@@ShroomFishing I'm possibly moving to Australia in a year or so. so i take it the rules can vary state to state and its just a matter of checking the rules where i end up. Definately seems like Australia is more flexible on the size of the fish. Eg, Kingis are a 75cm min in NZ

@@knivesandstuff Yep that's right. Depends on the state and also it is subject to change. The kingfish limit here is currently at 65cm and again measured to the tip. The fishery here isn't as good as NZ but hopefully it improves

Sinker to swivel to about 1 metre trace of 80lb leader and a 7/0 hook

Would a 6k Saragosa be good for flicking lures for pelagics
