Lovely fish mate 👍 Great to see the big ones still around. Not sure about fish scent. I've caught fish with scent and without scent. Maybe the taste on the scented lure gets them back for a second bite. I can't tell. Fish scent might be an old wives tale or brilliant marketing 😀 Cheers 👍

In my opinion big lures for flatties are detrimental to actually catching them when land based . Deeper water may be different , but not land fishing . 👍✔🎣

@@ShroomFishing got my own sea mullet this morning on the diawa version of the slim swimz. 40cm, might have jagged it tbh, got 2 bream, 1 flounder, 1 yellow eye mullet, 1 sea mullet total.

Awesome video Shroom! Just a quick question, how do you find fishing on ferry wharves? I find that every time I send out a live yakka, the ferry always tangles me and the lines get snapped and tangled with the motor. Any Ideas to help? How do you cope with them? It's as if you just can't cast them out and you just have to drop them under.

There were times when me and josh first started chasing smelly slabs at local.he’d use s factor and I didn’t,and a lot of the times I out fished him 3,4 to 1 on jewfish and eps.but sometimes it would be in his favour

Scent isn't " cheating", but adding it contradicts the whole reason lure fishing was invented. You take the olfactory senses out of the equation so you feel more satisfaction when you catch them! So you're missing that feeling.That's what "lure" means - it's visual only. A guy I fish with stopped using scent when he watched me catch as many fish doing things properly with no scent.
