In 2017, Trump gave - what seemed like - an hyperbole at the time: "If we allow to take down the confederate statues, next will be G. Washington and T. Jefferson". J. Oliver called out that hyperbole by comparing it to kids going from playing with tweezers to consuming heroine. In 2020, they are indeed taking down G. Washington and T. Jefferson statues.

Oye vee my grandparents' parents thought the same way that toppled statues were okay, then came the book, and then people. I disagree with many of DT's twits but this one has some truth compared to what has happened in the past. There are not many countries with you can run and hide if the US goes down.
