I'm from Canada & yes.....it might be colder in the winter, but the taps aff happens here just the same. As soon as it get's past 13ºC, people are out in shorts & tank tops. It might need to go north of 18ºC before you start seeing actual taps aff......but I understand completely! A couple of weeks ago - in the middle of March - it hit about 15º. We were up at our cottage for the day. Lake still completely frozen over & there were still patches of snow on the ground, but the sun was shining & it was a gorgeous day. I was raking out the gardens. Off came the sweatshirt......the pant legs got rolled up.....and spent the rest of the afternoon drinking in the sun....... both literally & figuratively :D

It was 26 Celsius here in Dallas and I was sweating in jeans and you see folks in hoodies 😑. I don’t go outside in Texas summers lol. I don't think the macaroni pie is weird, honestly. Seems like a great thing to do with mac&cheese to me! In America we will put mac&cheese on a burger, or even fry it. Speaking of which, I don't think frying Mars bars is weird either -- in fact, I've known deep fried candy bars as "fair food" for a long time (as in food you find at a county fair, where they have carnival rides and farm animals and all that other bullsh*t). We will fry any goddamn thing at the fair, candy bars are just the start. Seriously, look up deep fried butter and deep fried Coke. You wouldn't even think you could fry those things, but we found a way by golly.

In Colorado, I seek the sun in the cold days too. I get a little seasonal depression if I don’t get some sun. Thankfully here we get a lot of sun but it can be too cold to sit outside. I am able to sit in a little spot in the kitchen to catch the rays. If there is no wind and it’s above 40 F, I will sit outside if I can. We are having a couple hot days right now and it has gotten up to 70 F, which in the summer will seem cool but now seems almost too hot because one is not used to it yet. Spring here is like a menopausal woman with hot flashes!

About the heat/warmth, I get it. In Sweden, it's a different kind than in, for example, Tarragona (Spain). Even if it's 10, 20 or 30 degrees (celsius) it's not at all the same kind. I don't think it's much of a difference between London and the west coast of Sweden where I'm from though. When I have a chance to go to Scotland it'll be fun to see what I think the difference is.

My last name is that of a Shire in North Scotland! Hi Erin, First, I really enjoy your videos, you keep posting & I'll keep watching. Now, have you ever thought about doing a video about the largest Scottish population on Earth: Scottish-Americans! Did you know that there are more people of Scottish decent in the US than in Scotland? And, we have very unique ways of expressing pride in our ancestral homeland. For example, we invented Utility Kilts! If you don't know, these are a uniquely Scottish-American style casual kilt that some of us, like myself, wear all the time. We call ourselves "serial kilters". Every major city in the US has yearly highland games. We know our clans, our family history and some of us even study Scots Gaelic - An urrainn dhut gaelic a bhruidhinn? As I tell people when they ask about my kilt, "My arse may have been born in America, but my soul never left Scotland!" Anyway, just a thought... Alba gu bràth!

Not complaining, but that was too short. Back I’m the day, when I went to uni, the first late winter early spring day with a temp over 45F/7C the men were wearing shorts and the women were sunbathing. Miss PunnyPennie is a fun follow, but if she didn’t say what she wrote out, I’d be completely lost.

Another great vid Erin. Haggis has never been a favourite of mine so I tend to avoid it but, I can take a bit of black pudding as long as it is from the chippy. Quick question for you....When I was your age and younger, (i'm 50 now), most women and girls didn't object to hearing themselves and other women being referred to as "burdz". Do women and girls these days object to that term? Maybe you could have a ginwag with your pals Amy and Steph and ask then what they think. Hope you are having a brilliant weekend.

What would young adults eat who are on a budget? In the US, I'd say peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or Ramen Noodles. Curious!
