Have the people who are having a problem downloaded the app, I had the same problem when I logged on to their website. The watches are listed as nearly new in the app and you go right to the relevant pages.

@@rava2107 My orignal reply to this seems to have evaporated. Spooky... As a couple of others have said below - people are looking on the wrong site. The sale items are on watchgecko, not geckota.

Great to see this British brand on the channel. I have 2 Seahunters myself, both also bought 'nearly new' - the fully brushed burnt orange with the steel bezel and the classic black bay colourway (piano black dial, gold hands/indices, red accents). Both are beautiful, both were essentially new. Take care.

Thanks for the video - I've been eyeballing the old-style chronographs from Geckota for a while now (something about older/vintage style-watches really pulls me even though I was only born in the 90s!). Great commentary!

I really like the Geckota brand in general. Good designs, Materials and specs. That sunburst is mesmerizing

It's nice to see Geckota on the channel. I have one of their G-01/Pioneer watches and I love it. I don't see too many reviews for them. They regularly do pretty good discounts though so don't let the higher rrp prices dissuade anyone and these "nearly new" prices are great.

Hi Gary, I got the white a few days ago. I wouldn't feel ripped off paying the full price. The quality is excellent. They are an absolute bargain, and like you, I found nothing wrong

Isn't labelling them nearly new a way of protecting the value of the brand. If you heavily discount new watches people will perceive the full price watches as too expensive

I bought a rivet style watch bracelet from Geckota a few years ago, on sale. The quality and price are amazing! It is still my absolute favorite watch bracelet. I wish I had bought two during the sale.

I was like 'good for you, lucky you'. But then I saw "Ordering from the Europe? Don’t worry, all orders are delivered duty paid!", woah! That's rather impressive.

Bought the white faced one for more than it is now but still happy as it's a quality watch. Please do some more reviews of Geckota please Gary.

I bought a Geckota GMT about two years ago. It's pretty, its accurate (quartz gmt) and it cost me GBP 180 on a jubilee. Can't recommend them enough.

I bought a Squale and a geckota in the nearly new sale and they both arrived fully stickered and faultless 🤙

I agree the white dial is nice but the effect of that green..? Turquoise..? Blue.. Dial just catches my attention but either way you found a great bargain! The hands might be a touch different than the applied indices but at least they're not gold like the Seiko 5 you reviewed recently. I've went back and watched that video again and those gold hands just became an eye sore for me 😂 Great review!

Delighted with mine, I can confirm that it also came with all stickers on and not a scratch on it, green dial is gorgeous ;-) - Only 6 months warranty though

I received my “nearly new” red Pioneer yesterday for £199. It’s beautiful and in perfect condition, still wrapped in the original plastic. The strap is different to the full priced one, but still one of their premium leather straps - tough and gorgeous! I will definitely buy more from them….

I messaged you a while back when i bought a watch from you on ebay asking if you had seen any Geckota watches yet. Glad you have finally picked a couple up! I currently have the G-02 which is the resin filled bezel dive version of these watches, I seriously recommend you getting one of those in. I also have the K-01 which is a pilot style watch, diacontinued now but probably the nicest flieger the money can buy. I would also recommend checking out the E-01, now called Airstream, and the cushion cased chronographs which look great. Looking forward to seeing more Geckota watches on the channel in future.

Oh, and if you buy a new watch from them it comes with a nice box. It's just the 'returned' watches that only have the pouch.

Watchgecko have had some real bargains on Geckota over the past few months I picked up a green dial seahunter slimline for £150 a purple dial seahunter gmt for £80 and a blue dial Ensign Small Seconds for £70. All arrived in as new condition in a blue suede pouch. I really like Geckota as a brand they make excellent watches.

That dial and hands are beautiful

Very very good looking watches. Nice solid looking bracelets too, and really competitively priced. 👍👍👍👍

The markers are more chrome than flat black like the hands. Not a problem. My only complaint if any is the lume on most watches.

I have the GMT version in quartz which came on a jubilee and which cost me 80 quid last autumn. (Also advertised as a return but in perfect condition.) Nice compact lug to lug on these and a great grab and go beater. I'd like to see if they can make a watch with an integrated bracelet.

These are amazing watches for the price!! The fact that the polished casebacks look immaculate suggests these watches actually haven't been worn. And the serial numbers suggests that these watches only have been made in batches of 75. These are now very tempting offers! 😅

Rather liked the green one having looked on the website but the dial is a bit small compared to the case for my tastes. Does look a very good value purchase. Good work though highlighting the offer.

The watch pouch has a metal popper stud closure. Is there exposed metal on the inside that could scratch the watch?

Some of us heard the end 😁. At £200 it is a good watch, the case looks very flat, but it is thin enough to get away with it. However, the case shape and particularly the wing thing opposite the crown 👎 and that huge polished bezel makes the dial look small too.

Nearly New is probably similar to "Open Box" watches. Often these are watches returned after buyers decided they weren't for them.

I have bought a few "nearly new" watches from Geckota and everyone of them look like they haven't been worn, even had the stickers on a couple of watches and that makes them, in my opinion, a new watch. I honestly can't recommend that you have a look at the inventory and I am pretty sure that you will find something that you will like 👍👍

It looks a bit like the Scurfa Treasure Seaker. All and all not a bad looking nor poorly spec-ed watch.

@@clark3830 , The NH36/NH36 are nowhere near as good a movement as the miyota. It was developed as a direct competitor to the ETA 2824, whereas the NH35/36 are disposable movements that Seiko don’t even service, they just bin them and put another unregulated NH movement in it’s place.

@@roymorrison6713 I have used both now called a 4R36 etc. and Miyota movements. I find the Seiko to be much more reliable and on a timegrapher set to 0-1spd normally. Just my opinion.

Also, as far a I know all of Geckota watches are limited edition numbered pieces 😱😎

Hello. I'm a fan of Chinese watches that offer great quality at a good price. I have a few of them, but I would like to buy a gift and find a beautiful, classy watch. Unfortunately, it's very difficult. There's nothing decent for under $300. The specifications are weak for the price. I've looked at Chinese brands, and there's practically no such watch for women, except for Pagani Design. What I'm looking for is a quartz watch with a sapphire crystal, all stainless steel, and a 28mm case, specifically the PD-1647. Unfortunately, it's nowhere to be found, they may have stopped producing it. There's also a nice PD-1648, but it's also not available anywhere. Could you speak with Pagani people regarding the resumption of production? Other companies could also consider making a women's watch. There's definitely a demand for it, but they need to advertise it better. Make a video on KZread to show how it looks, not just renders, and also share information on Reddit. For example, Escapement Time released a 35mm women's watch, and it sells well, but 35mm is still too big. The best size for women is up to 28mm and classy. Thank you in advance.

Thats not a fake discount like all over aliexpress. I've noticed there they speed up the price 50% for one day so they can drop it down to 40% again after a day or so. Geckho watces are sold out on their website after you and couple of other youtubers talked about them.

is it a noisy movement like other Miyotas?

Confession, got white yesterday, couldn't help but buy blue today...so now I have to buy the wife a new watch before they arrive,, you now I blame you...❤

Ordered stuff from watchgecko before brexit. Now the taxes makes it so, that it's no longer sensible, witch is a bummer.

I really hope that this isn't a sign that Gekota is going to disappear. I understand that it takes a lot of investment to manufacture watches and you have to try to make a profit, but I think the £499 price point was too high. They should have started with £250-£300, and maybe they could get £350 but it's pushing it with that price though. They should also have rebranded much earlier because some of the potential customers just didn't like the name Geckota for years, and that's another source of customers who they've alienated. They should have named the brand something like "Gecko", and with that would have appealed to a much bigger range of people.

Can I just say, when you started, I thought your channel was a little bit of a JOMW take 2. And (sorry to be harsh) clearly a lesser thing. But, you've stuck with it and moulded your own identity. Really very well. Well done. That's the message, well done.
