Thermal Hog Hunting - EPIC 112 Hogs down with the Pulsar XP50
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Farmers and Ranchers are inundated with feral hogs and the problem is only getting worse.
These ranches are struggling to be able to keep up. Thinning and removing the pigs is essential to lower the cost to the rancher. In Texas feral swine can be hunted year round by any means.

►►►Why do we hunt hogs you ask◄◄◄
Feral hogs do millions of dollars in damage a year. Farmers and ranchers need all the help they can get. In Texas, we have the ability to hog hunt at whatever means necessary to help control the population. Hog hunting, coyote hunting, and other predator hunting is what we spend a majority of our time on. The footage you see is from out actual footage from the hunters perspective. Sit back and watch us hunt some wild boar.

They aren’t as hard to tell apart once you get some time behind a rifle.
Greetings from America's Dairyland. Very enjoyable video. Question: How does the flesh taste? Is it different than standard grocery bought pork? Thank you.
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
It’s a bit more gamey than standard store bought. But it really depends on their diets. Hogs shot off grain fields are a bit better than ones killed in the swamps
If the marksmen are good, these videos are very entertaining. Reminds me of LUNA PARK shooting galleries.!
Sometimes I wonder if a setup with M-118 Claymore mines might be a working option. Get them used to coming to a baited area, and BAAAM! Instant pork Peccadillo, just bring the Tortillas.

@stephenhoward6829

@@worsethanjoerogan8061 Probably not much different than the M118's and since M118's aren't exactly available to the general public,... Making one's own version of the M118 would be frowned-on, a pipe-bomb or something similar is rather likely to get certain folk "Excited", and the thought of having fellows in suits with conspicuous bulges under the jacket, ear-pieces with curly wires, and no sense of humor which they are aware-of show up on one's doorstep is NOT appealing.
That’s called going hog wild!
What caliber is being used? I bet 6.5 Grendel would work good, but may be a bit to expensive. So many hogs.

I am assuming you mean how long do we hunt. We usually start around dark and finish up somewhere before it gets light.
3:31 That Hog come to attack on you 🤦
Since it seems like they tend to run away from the load bangs of the guns (not always), why not set up electronically fired fire crackers or even speakers with recordings of gun fire to scare them back your direction?
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
The pigs are going to run to whatever cover they can. Even if it means running straight to us. A lot of times they are working their way to the woods when we see them and don’t have time to get between them and the woods. Or the wind isn’t in our favor. Both of those are critical.
Niceeeeeee shotssss
What kind of set up you got there? Love the vids by the way glad to see allot less hate in the comments compared to when I first subbed.

What do you do with the carcasses? Do you bury them?
SATISFYING
what type of ammo are you using? SP or FMJ?
the flash from some shots is visible on thermo- how far from the barrel end is the front lens of the trail?
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
It’s a 16 in barrel plus suppressor. Roughly 20-22 inches.
Awesome shooting guys. It seems like there every where. Do these hogs taste anything like a regular hog, or can you even eat them?
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
They are similar. The meat is identical but the tastes vary between them. It really has a lot to do with their diet. A pig will eat anything. Ones living in the swamps won’t be near as tasty as one that lives in a corn field.
C'est bon ça on se croirait chez nous comme dans les Ardennes française 👍👍👍👍😂😂😉
Henry, Frank ,I can't feel my legs hep me hep me crack .
What distances from the shooters are the hogs when first shots are taken? At what distance do you no longer take any shots?
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
About 50 yards is the goal. Things affect that like wind shift or the pigs are acting spooked. But as a general rule the closer we get, the more shots we can get in. As far as longest shots, it really depends on the properties and what’s behind them. Longest I remember seeing one drop was 430 yards. We do waste a lot of ammo the further out they get.
What a cool video game! Will it work on Windows or Xbox?
Guns sound like jiffy pop!!!
3..2..1.. Pow!!
Think I’m going with 308. Just can’t decide to mount on the SCAR OR M&P 10. 150gr fmj sound ok for this? I’m a noobie but ready to do my part.
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a 308 to tell you much. In the 6.8 I shoot hornady 120ssts. I know the 308 has more recoil so follow up shots will likely be a little slower.

Night Hunting TV that SCAR’s pretty smooth. Cheapest would be an AK with wolf ammo but I’m not sure about mounting a 4g scope on an unstable mount.

A Bulgarian AK-74 with a great NV optic, and a big box of Hornady 5.45x39mm 60gr V-Max. Yes please.
Can these rifles be fitted with silencers? Once the hogs scatter it does seem to be a lot harder to get the all. As a non shooter it just an obsevation.
@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
We shoot suppressed rifles. Suppressors don’t make guns sound like the movies. Quiets a supersonic rifle bullet to a hair quieter than a 22
Sucks that you have to resort to such Extreme Measures, but those Hogs are damn destructive, fairly dangerous, and they are prolific breeders. Nobody likes to waste meat like that, but you got to do what you got to do. Here's hoping you can get the numbers under control, and you can actually hunt them instead of having to exterminate them.
The little footballs are all but impossible to hit.
Muito bom!
Did you guys ever consider using buckshot to support the rifles so you can get the piglets?
@NightHuntingTV

We’ve talked about it. We really want to rig up shotguns and run them down in fields. But most of our fields aren’t smooth enough.

Set up several mini-claymore mines into. Half-cone formation and then pop a piggie or two and the sounder will scamper into the cone of claymores.....clack-clack.....?

Some meat is given to locals in the area. Nature takes care of the rest. It’s safe with extra care on processing and cooking
Nothing like smoking & watching these
This is war on bad bacon.
Do you have to collect the dead? Where do you dump them if you do? Do you guys get paid per hog? Are you just paid by the job? I would love to leave AZ to hunt hogs full time 🤠.

Depends on the land owners. Generally we load them up for a picture at the end of the night. Don’t get Pd anything. Make a little on here through advertising to help pay for ammo
Even with all these... they ain't even putting a dent in the local porker population.
what you got there bud?
Dang! I could do this allll night!!
What happens to the killed game ??
Good Shooting... I know hogs can damage the heck outta your farm land. I have a question though, What happens to all the meat? Is any of it edible? Or do you just pile em up and burn them?
@NightHuntingTV
3 жыл бұрын
With the numbers we kill a lot gets fed to the buzzards and coyotes. We do give away what we can and we process what we can. We cant donate meat to food banks or homeless shelters as they carry diseases.
Ought not be anyone hungry in the community.
Hello could you Tell me which thermal sigth you are using? Send me specs so I can purchase onde, please.
Might as well have full auto...the way you spray rounds into the crowd. I guess it’s for bounty, but I prefer the clean kill shot...like the first one.
