77 Hogs Down - Hog Hunting with Thermal Night Vision - Pulsar XP50
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
A lot of this footage is on a ranch covered in cows. There is a lot of patience and calculated shots to avoid risking livestock being shot. Not the typical shoot till you are empty. These ranchers are struggling to be able to feed their livestock as it is. Thinning and removing the pigs is essential to lower the cost to the rancher.

This channel is dedicated to hunting at night with Night Vision and Thermal.
Farmers and Ranchers are inundated with feral hogs and the problem is only getting worse. Feral hogs do millions of dollars in damage a year. Farmers and ranchers need all the help they can get. In Texas, we have the ability to hog hunt at whatever means necessary to help control the population. Hog hunting, coyote hunting, and other predator hunting is what we spend a majority of our time on. The footage you see is from out actual footage from the hunters perspective. Sit back and watch us hunt some wild boar.

Gun's are banned in the UK but he didn't care we had a ex service revolver ww1 a Lee Enfield rifle 😉 and a sawn off shotty 😂. Biggest game i ever shot was a pigeon no shit.... Great video hogs are a huge problem around here and watching others do what we do but better is pretty entertaining
Even when dying and are upside down, the rear legs are still trying to run. This happens time and time over. These Hogs are made tough, and sometimes it can take 3-4 shots to keep them bastards down. Hard business the Hog exterminating caper.! Well done to the Guys doing it.!

Awesome vlog Mr. Wig. Is here to.

Amazing videos. The only thing that bothers a little is the waiting time before shooting, sometimes it is long. But overall, the videos are wonderful. By the way, I can not believe how fast the bullet is, at 8:21 shooting that pig was unbelievable, the speed of the bullet hits the animal at the same instant that has been shot. Really amazing.

Nice to see someone taking deliberate and calculated shots. Clearly some good roflecraft on display here. I hate some of the videos I've seen where it's just rapid fire in the general direction of hogs, many are horribly wounded and little consideration is taken of the lay of the land and other surrounding animals.

The bigger hogs are really hard to fatally wound in one shot. Most of their organs are behind their shoulders which between the hide and the SHEER muscle mass make hitting an organ shot super hard. There's a kind of sweetspot just infront of the shoulder crease. And another in the ear. But hogs never stop moving. (They basically forage every second they aren't sleeping or making mini pork.) So hitting that spot means waiting for that second where they stop to check the air or swallow or listen to something. You also want to get a good idea were your next shot needs to go since it's rare to find feral pigs solo. So alot of times experienced hunters are working out which pig to target as soon as the first drops.
A partir del minuto 7:58 me sorprendió su puntería. Felicidades amigo, muchos suben videos pero con mala puntería y usted es un verdadero tirador. Saludos!!

Maybe this will ease your mind. In 6 months those are ready to breed. And can have a litter of up to a dozen. Gestation period is just under 4 months. In less than a year one pig turns into 100s
Awesome video. Taking them out one at a time 👍
Amazing shooting guys, thx!
I really like watching these type videos, But guys the forever taking time to do the countdown and the one or both shoot early and maybe get one pig. I had to shut it down half way through. There are plenty. I’d assume they are tired of eating hogs at this point.
I'm surprised the shooting doesn't unsettle the cows. I think you need more than 2 shooters as well, thats way too many hogs.
I understand the problem. Do you feel you and others are making progress, breaking even or losing ground re the hop population?
@NightHuntingTV
5 жыл бұрын
I feel like it’s s break even. Lots of land owners won’t let you hunt on their land for one reason or another. The properties we have access to have definitely seen decreases in numbers. Some properties have gotten to the point we rarely see a hog while hunting.
Slow, very slow, too slow. Wild boars have time to escape 10 times before the hunter decides to shoot
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Can the little ones survive on there on?..if so do you all set up traps to catch them or let them be?
@NightHuntingTV
5 жыл бұрын
Some likely wont survive without pairing up with an adult to help guide them away from dangers from predators. But they are hardy and will survive until we run into them again. We do not trap. They become trap wary pretty quick. Its much more efficient for us to drive around and hunt versus load traps with corn and have to check them regularly. Only real option for efficiently trapping is the ones that are cell service driven, but they are relatively expensive. We hunt so many properties it would be hard to effectively be able to do that
Kudos for your restraint in not taking the shot on the one at 3:00-3:40.... Nicely done...

A lot of the footage we are shooting multiple pigs at different angles. And waiting for a clean shot to double up without spooking all of them.
You killz dem all!! One by one!!!
Alas we don't have the luxury in Australia of having access to sophisticated weapons and sights that you folks do. You are to be congratulated on your efforts to control that invasive species which we have here as well. I wonder what clean up you do after the shoot? Do you collect and use the meat? Also, would a silencer (ammo allow it?) enable you to be more clinical? Regards
@NightHuntingTV
5 жыл бұрын
I’ve read about the problems you guys have as well. Some meat gets donated. But for the most part they are hauled off the property and nature handles. We shoot everything suppressed. The bullet hitting the pig has a louder sound than what’s coming from the muzzle. So most of the time they are running from the sound of the bullet thumping their buddy. A lot of times we can steer the pigs in a direction to allow us more shot opportunities.

@NightHuntingTV
4 жыл бұрын
We use suppressors. The thump of the bullet hitting the hog is louder than the rifle.
Just out of curiosity --- what is the kill ratio between shooting them like this or trapping them? Shooting like this is sure a lot more fun I would imagine -- but if ammo is getting scares as well as expensive these days, trapping must becoming more economical. No?
@NightHuntingTV
2 жыл бұрын
Don’t catch the ratio on a single trap that drops the gate. But you’ll have to move the trap to repeat and takes awhile to get more pigs to go in there. In that amount of time we kill a lot more than one can trap can. And have the ability to repeat the process as much as our spouses put up with us being out all night. We hunt a couple times a week. And end the year around 1,000 to 1,500 removed from the fields
