I mean, I honestly think souls games aren't for everyone, so I do accept the "eh, too hard for me, didn't feel very fun" argument, that said though, I haven't heard any people who said that (outside of KZread, at least) start shit talking the game like it's nobody's business after

The worst part about this is that Quantum's still around. Oh, and he went on record saying that US food service employees, who are paid below minimum wage and require tips to make do, don't deserve tips at all. I'd call him a piece of shit, but shit can actually be useful.

This might be a hot take right. If the people rallied behind these food workers to give them a decently living pay so they don't need tips to make ends meet, then everybody would win a little wouldn't they ? Granted i'm from the nordic countries and while tips are not looked down on if you give them. It can be seen as a sign of disrespect that they are so poor workers they need your charity. But in general if you give a tip it's because the service and food was above and beyond your expectations.

@@elvinmacospag6989 If I remember why. Its because of the cost of food and the services and equipment to prepare it. This lowers the cost of food for the consumers and allows the company to stay in business essentially. If I remember it correctly. Which is one reason why tipping is expected in the U.S because the workers make their money with tips. Some jobs are paid a lot more in tips than others. Such as waiters and waitresses earn a lot more tips usually when compared to just your normal fast food place. One of the places I worked at. The tips were split between everyones hours. So a percentage of the tips would go into hourly. So we got tipped pretty well when compared to the other fast food places. Where like I got like $3 more an hour each paycheck because of the tips. Sometimes it was $2.5 and others it would be like $3.5... The higher ones were normally with weeks with catering orders. But obviously waiters will make more tips because of them being more personal and caters to a handful of people. So basically thats how the tipping thing effects those workers being underpaid. With fast food jobs the tips dont even make it to a livable wage usually. It may make it where youre getting a normal starting pay for most blue collar jobs. Unless youre in a trade or have experience/schooling. Edit: The low pay is also the reason why these jobs are considered starter jobs and/or mostly have people with it being their first job and them being very young. Even some people starting work at 14 years old. I had like 3 coworkers who were 14 and then more people who were 16 or so. In fact I was the oldest one who was working there. Other than the actual owner of the store. Who I think was only like 15 years older than me. I was even older than my manager who was the person who ran that entire location. I personally always tip here but I do think the system is worse overall and would rather incorporate other cultures ways of running these businesses.

"YOU DIE" does sound like a souls game. Ever harder game with more punishing mechanics and heavy lore. With far bigger maps. And a snail the kill you if you touch. It follows you slowly throughout the game.

to be fair, the feet have to be touching the ground entirely for the animation to even make sense, but not only are they reversed, but the only part thats actually touching is the ankle in a very bizzarre angle

I'm a souls veteran myself so the second I saw the Tree Sentinel, I was ready for a fight and expected myself to die. Huge enemy roaming open area just screams boss fight to people who have played enough video games lol. After I died to it a few times I realized I needed to level up and promptly got to work on that and getting the wolf summons before facing it again and eventually winning. The guy giving Elden Ring a bad review just sucks as a gamer and probably hasn't played any game that expects you to own up to your mistakes and learn from them. I'm not surprised, games these days hold your hand so much it genuinely irritates me, I grew up playing Nintendo systems and PS2 before going to Xbox 360. There was no hand holding in many of the games on those systems AT. ALL.@@erinyabucky

Elden Ring was my first FromSoft game and I just loved it. There is just one thing I do not like and that is the Questdesign and how Fromsoft tells the Lore of the World. No Journal, people randomly dying when you do something no in a specific order....not my cup of tea. But despite that, the game is phenomenal

Ah yes, the legendary Quantum saga lmao. On an unrelated note, its always nice to hear about people that have had my same experience with Dark Souls 3; I played it when I was in a really rough spot in my life and it was my absolute comfort game, as silly as it might sound it reminded me that no matter how hard things can get, there is always a way to make it through. Been hooked to the FromSoft experience ever since! Sad that some people will just never make an effort to experience it. Anyway, fun commentary, cute model, super pleasant voice and FromSoft shilling, I am in! Subscribed!

No when a boss hits you, it should make a *squeaky* noise and take away no more than 5% of your health. I could not imagine wanting bosses to be basically just regular enemies with an inflated health bar.

This was incredible! I was there for this drama, and Mischief is great!

Albeit that my only introduction to FS Inc. is Sekiro, but I’ve come by Dark Souls and Elden Ring’s lore and I must say that Quantum’s criticism to the game’s lack of interactivity and story/lore has never been so far from the truth. There’s many things to actually interact with and actually had a vast amount of lore that can only be found by actually playing the game.

Update on Mr TV. He never played elden ring.

Gran Turismo 7 was the worst game they made because they are using micro transactions and they will milk your money to buy new cars until your money is empty.

I want someone to find Quantum and ask him directly "Do you think you're right about everything?" And if it's not an immediate no then there's something wrong with him

Okay, my intense dislike for Elden Ring comes from the enemies spam attacking and having no stamina. That paired with the weird attack timing is aggravating to deal with. My opinion is that the creators wanted you to get better or they hated you. Rather than listing more, it's a death by a thousand cuts. However, the build potential is great, there's a huge list of interesting weapons, there are incredible locations, and some bosses are fun. Elden Ring isn't a masterpiece to me. It has myriad minor problems that irritated me while playing. I'm glad FromSoft tried something new; some things paid off while others didn't.

The drama that came from this was wild to see happen minute by minute. A few good came out of it, but the fact Quantum is still around is what sucks. By many of KZread's own metrics, he qualifies to be removed from the platform. But I'm glad it's over.

Oh boy the origin of the most butthurt individuals that hate the fact that Elden ring is not catering to the average none gamer audience and tells you to fricking listen and pay attention to detail to understand its storytelling. There is a reason it won game of the year 2022, Gameplay alone far surpassed the majority of games that year. Of course there are people who say that the way it is played is pretty basic, well, a basic game won against your precious game you shilled for, so what does that make your game then? this game is fraggin awesome, i got the platin trophy and that comes from me, who dont like soulsgames. just becaus this one dude is to stupit for the basics of the game doesnt make it a bad game 😝. at the time i played it nothing else was deliverd or nothing was realy interesting for me, so ineedet a game with the potential to kill a lot of time.
