Two Notes Audio recently did a firmware update to the C.A.B. M pedal, adding (among other things) a preamp emulation section. This completely changes how you can use the pedal, and in this video I'll explain why it's perfect for me.

According to the Two Notes website, "The Torpedo C.A.B. M has been upgraded to include a high headroom clean preamp based on a '74 Silverface B'man ..."
I would love to hear the tones without your dialogue mic. Hearing the pick attack in the room gives an inaccurate representation of what the pedal really sounds like direct! Otherwise, great playing and great demo!
Many Two Notes demos using high gain amps as source. As I'm more interrested in classic guitar tones I must say YOUR DEMO IS KILLER. Thank you so much!!!! I upgraded to plus version immediately and cannot stop playing.
Wasn’t it already the perfect pedal platform before the pre-amp update? The whole idea with the original power amp option was so that you could completely eliminate the amp and let the pedals be your pre amp. I’m just confused how adding a Bassman pre amp into the thing makes it more of a pedal platform than the pedal right into a simulated power section then speaker sim.
I have the older Torpedo C A B. Beautiful pedal. …. What gets me about social media…. Someone finds a really cool thing, takes the time to make video to share it, and people second guess or even criticize. Here’s an idea. Congratulate and celebrate. :)
what a pickles doing in a jesters boots is beyond me
Two notes is a French company, and we are very proud of their products, for your follower, you can buy their soft, alone, "Wall of sound", and appreciate using it, with Logic Pro, that sound really realistic, and you can hear and imagine your future perfect sound at first, I did it....
Great video, just got my Cab M and this really helped me while learning. On the stereo thing, Torpedo recommended putting a stereo reverb/delay after the cab and running it like that. I tried it and for me there was no noticeable loss in tone that way and now I have stereo out. It's not true stereo from the chain but at least lets me run into a pair of studio monitors as opposed to just the left!
So I could run this with headphones using the Cab m headphones out jack and get this tone 🙄
On the extra computation, the chips in these pedals are programmed in assembly, so you can find all kinds of memory optimizations that all kinds of capabilities. They code them that way because it’s fast and reliable.
Thank you so much for this explanatory video, demystifying the Two Notes CAB M+ updates for the unitiated....cheers! PS your playing sounds terrific too!
Thanks, Anthony, for the demo and explanation of the TwoNotes CAB M+ for this purpose. I will certainly get that software upgrade for mine. For many players that find themselves playing in a worship band context, there can be a lot of vocalist and instrumentalists on stage. This makes it tough to hold down the stage volume, which can have several negative effects unless your amp is well isolated. Going direct to the mixing board using my CAB M isn’t quite as satisfying as it used to be with my HRDx, but it’s a really good compromise that the vocalists and sound techs appreciate. I’m excited about the preamp emulation possibilities! I use a Giggity preamp pedal right now, which works quite well. It just might allow me to drop that pedal from my board, freeing up some space. Thanks again!
Great video, your review about new preamp option finally sold M+ for my pedalboard platform. Great job!
I watched for enjoyment and entertainment. Good thing your educating these people. Thanks for that!
Watched this video last night and discovered the Super Six pedal...today I was lucky enough to find one in my city; plugged it into my Fender '68 Deluxe and holy shit! Amazing! Thanks TBA!
Perfect breakdown of this CABm +, thank you. Hopefully in the future two-notes will offer different preamps much like they offer different cabs
Great video, great tone and cool playing dude.
Perfect demo, to fully showcase for what i need (and now i know it's called a 'pedal platform'. ;)
Dear lord this is insane. Holy tone.
Great playing man. Mine is coming in soon. Can’t wait to try it out.
