I used a very 'metal' style 4x12 on this CAB M+ one sunday and.. it sounded amazing other guitarist was geeking out over the sounds afterwords. I've used it for many weeks now, practice daily performing 2x a month minimum and it is great.

Waiting on mine to arrive, also for church use. We are a little late to the in ear game but are coming around. Old dogs and new tricks scenario. I'm planning to use it for Bass. My big boy rig is a Mesa Titan with 2 eden D410XLT's and I like to throw an AKG D112 or Beta 52 on them when possible but usually just run out of the DI and at church just one of the 4x10's. I have a Mesa Subway DI that is very familiar coming from the titan, the knobs react similar and its easy for me to find what I want. Both of those have a very similar and very nice DI sound IMO. Being that the Eden D410XLT is available on the CAB M I'm looking forward to using it off of the pedal board as a 100% fly rig with the Subway DI and out of the slave out of the Mesa Titan for those times and places I bring cabs because I can have a mic arrangement preset and ready to go and its the same each time and since its the same model cab as whats in the room, with any luck the IR and reality should be pretty close to one another. Really looking forward to playing around on all this.

Interesting to use this with other preamps like the Victory line of preamps if its complete for an amp rig

I bought the CAB M a while back for headphone play and easy recording.The great thing about this is it also has an aux in to play with backing tracks. They didn't have the software preamp before so I've been using a marshall-in-a-box pedal to push signal into the simulated power amp + cab sim. It's been awesome and I am excited to update mine to the new features!

Does it sound great using as a headphone only tool.? I was thinking of replacing my amp and buying one as a headphone only home set up. I have an origin effects revival drive to go into it and some decent pedals also. But I wanted to know if it does a decent copy of a tube/cab set up or does it sound too digital?

@@markweaver8529 So far my amp-in-a-box pedal as a preamp works pretty well. I would say it doesn't have the headroom my other amps do when pushed by my pedals. I spent some time tweaking the preamp after the software update but ended up going back to my original setup using the pedal as a preamp. I don't notice digital noise or artifacts in the Cab M like I do in say, many digital reverbs, but your ears may be better at it than me. If you are buying it, go with a place with a good return policy in case it isn't to your liking. I think the clean headroom is my issue because I'm using a low headroom pedal to replicate my 50 watt Marshall running clean. The apps available for it are easy and intuitive, so I love that I can connect with my iphone or my windows laptop

Hello Andy! If only I knew there was an update before I pulled the trigger on a Cab M and a Victory V4 The Countess, it would have saved me a lot. The preamp on the firmware update made my boutique pedal preamp redundant. I only use the Cab M and a Friedman BE-OD Deluxe and I can dial in whatever tone is in my head. Also the gate is a big plus!

I just picked up one of these. I was an eaaaaaarly adopter of IR amp emulation, whatever you want to call it. I was using the Johnson and Line 6 stuff in the late 90's early 2000's when it was just coming out. I've always gone back to amps because the response wasn't there. Feel like I can get close enough with this (for 2 benjamins vs 1k) to be the clean platform I need it be.

I believe -- you'd want to check to verify -- that you could take the FX send of your amp, essentially getting the preamp of your head or combo, and send it to the Two Notes. You would STILL want to keep it hooked to the cab or combo speaker. However, since it'd (I think) leave a sort of "disconnect" between the FX send and FX return, you'd have a 'silent' recording/monitoring option. I say silent because the amp's own speaker is not putting out sound, but is still loaded down. Then just use the power amp, gate, cab / mic sims, EQ, enhancer of the Torpedo CAB M, and voila. If you really need to go from the poweramp of the head or combo, then fine, but you'd need a load box, OR to have your CAB M go to the cabinet with the speaker out.

I'm really considering getting one of these for getting good recording tones instead of buying a bunch of plug-ins

I got confused and bought the torpedo captor 8. I don’t want to lug a half stack to church. Things in mono though. I like my stereo effects. I should have bought this thing here. But If it’s like an amp. I guess if you want stereo you need 2. And I guess it doesn’t have an fx loop. To keep those repeats clean.

Yep, remote works in both Windows and OS, wireless remote works on iOS and Android. :)

Love your stuff Ryan, so entertaining. Did you run your delay and reverb pedal etc. AFTER the CAB M as they suggest? Just got one and want to try stereo so considering running it that way. Also GREAT surf sound! Kudos.

@@niloben659 I plug into my mixer. I run 2 cables from the last stereo pedal in my chain (Walrus D1) to my mixer then I use the stereo headphone out from the mixer.

anyone having a hiss problem using the XLR out? plugged my pedalboard to the Cab M and used the XLR out to my Focusrite 2i2 (inst level) and I'm having this really bad hiss. is there any explanation to this?

If you are using a compressor that can contribute to hiss. Also look at all the gains from peddle board, preamp and power amp. Lower them as required.

Where in the chain did you connect the delay?

So I use a hx stomp and a couple other effects. Very basic. Im Curious to free up DSP inside the stomp and maybe even do a wet/dry path. So I’ve considered using only amps in the stomp and moving the cabs to something like this or the cabzeus etc. thots on cab only? Then also thot about doing only effects in the stomp and then do amp and cab with iridium. Thots? New to the channel. I like it. Also a church player.

This is probably a stupid question, but can you plug an actual speaker cabinet into it, and use it as a completely ampless rig, or is it not powerful enough to push a speaker cabinet by itself without an amp?

Nice pedal.. however these type of amp pedals are relatively expensive considering you can buy a helix pod go for around 450.. I am also interested in a comparison with a less expensive pedal: the palmer pocket amp mk2.. it has far less features but is the sound quality at the same level as the more expensive amp pedals such as this or the iridium.. Maybe a nice comparison review for your channel?

I had the palmer pocket mk2 and it's indeed a very fine product (especially for the price). I only used the clean setting. The drive tone sucks. But to be honest, the iridium is on another level. IR cab sim is just way better than analog cab sim. the palmer is usable. iridium is enjoyable. Two notes cab M is too much fiddling with settings for me.

How would you compare this to the amp options in the HX Stomp (paired with the same IRs, of course)? More options and more granular controls in the CAB M, I would bet.

I don’t think you can do multiple Mics on the same cab on the stomp. I cheat around that by making patches with stereo amp/cabs. Besides that the hx stomp is more of a multi FX format than a dedicated cab box, but you can still get pretty tweaks with it.

Hi Ryan, long time listener first time caller. I have the Two Notes Crunch (it’s got an issue at the moment with hot fusion mode) but if this has some preamp stuff built in I’m presuming you could use the CAB M alone?

I’ve just read about the CAB M+ update. I wonder if they will offer more preamp updates over time. I’d originally dismissed it as the lecrunch has a passable cab emulation for my needs but now this seems preferable. I’m off to eBay!

what I need is an affordable option to this or the strymon. Seems that every worship guitarist has a strymon. Unfortunately, I can't justify dishing out over $300 on "a box." to them, that's all it is, a box. I've been using the Joyo American Sound, just to get some sort of color to my tone. I go through DI box, into mixer every Sunday. I can't have a large footprint on stage, so no amp. But I need something, preferably under $100.

Flamma makes a preamp/cab sim pedal that is sub $100. I have a video up for it that highlight some of its flaws, but if you are looking for something that will get the job dont there are a few settings on it that are acceptable.

@@60CycleHumcast Well....I searched and searched all evening and decided on getting a Nux Solid Studio. Made an offer on Reverb. It's not under $100, but still not a bad price. Of course, I paid for it instead of the church. I record at home, so it'll help with that as well, I guess.

Finally someone mainstream covering this product. I’ve been using it since it came out! I chose it over the hx stomp. I’m very happy with it! But wish I could just purchase some presets like the helix like some bethel sounds. But unfortunately their isn’t enough people knowing or using this product

@@TwoNotestv Have you also considered doing selectable preamp tubes? Can keep a basic preamp style but with different preamp tubes it could help people build a sound more right for them. I am waiting for some money to come in before buying a Cab M but would like to think this might be an update soon. EF86 preamp tubes would be an incredible addition especially in Worship music world! Also yes preamps is a great idea
