Balloons were released at a gathering on the 25th anniversary of the murders of the three Quinn boys, Jason (8), Mark (9) & Richard (10) who were killed in a UVF firebomb attack on their home at the height of the Drumcree standoff in in 1998.

That's twice as many as loyalist paramilitaries, and five times more than the security forces. In fact the Provos murdered more Catholics than the army and RUC combined, and in Derry city they killed more than the security forces and loyalists.

If Willem was invited why did he come with 40,000 troops in 550 ships and land in Devon? Surely if invited he'd sail up the Thames unmolested. When Crowned London was surrounded by 34,000 Dutch, Danish and Hugeunot troops.

They get it wrong every year. The Boyne was fought on 1 July, so 14 July on the Julian calendar. Aughrim was fought on 12 which is now 25th. The Dutch usurper of our throne was the Prince of Orange in the south of France. His royal colours were not Orange.

The House of Orange- Nassau dates back to 1544. It still exists as the House of Orange, thus the colours of the Netherlands today. Nor was William of Orange a usuper of the throne. He was asked by Parliament to become England's king as they feared a future Catholic monarch.

@WRP63 WRP. The adoption of the colour Orange happened in the 1850s. Orange is a city in Southern France. He was not I voted by Parliament. He was invited by two Bishops and six Lords. Out of 190 .

The Jacobites supported the legitimate line of royalty. Francis is a direct descendant of King Charles I. Whereas the usurper William was merely married to one of his granddaughters. And the Hanoverians and the current lot are descendants of Charles I's sister Elizabeth of Bohemia.

Celebrating a battle that was actually fought on July 1st….which is now July 11th (new calendar ) the decisive battle of the Williamite / Jacobite wars was the battle of Aughrim, (the battle of the Boyne was only a skirmish in comparison) fought on July 12th, now July 22nd.
