In my home town in America we had our usual St. PATRICK day parade. There were floats with Orange Loyalist together with floats of Cathoic celebrants. It was beautiful to see both sides celebrating their Irish family.

Ulster Scots were involved in so much of Americas history. They were pioneers, soldiers in every conflict and can even boast many of the early Presidents blood lines. What a journey. From persecuted Covenanters in Scotland, to planters in Ulster, to the New World. That's why the twelfth is celebrated in N Ireland, Scotland, Canada, USA, Australia etc, etc.

@@MichaelSmith-mi2vr The words No Surrender in Ulster Scots terms are in reference to the Siege of Derry 1688-89. It was the longest siege in British military history, lasting 105 days. During the siege 4000 people died mainly of disease and starvation. Yet even at its worst when asked to open the gates the ancient cry came from within the walls,NO SURRENDER. You're referring to the Empire. Try reading up on who fought against the British forces during the American war of independence. It was Ulster Scots, the same race who refused to surrender at Derry.
