I also lecturer in the Orange Order and The Royal Arch Purple Chapter. If the Orange Order exists in Australia ( I also THINK that The Royal Black Institution exists in Australia as it does in other countries)why should Australian Orangeism nor be supported? I have been to London and have stood and watched a few differentaly dressed Hari Krishna members walk and chanting while one held ,in my view , a basic bannerette, with the chant written on it. Although it wasn't my faith or culture I enjoyed the unusual act of looking on. I have watched AOH( Roman Catholic) parades I have come.across. Parades eg Roman Catholic Feast/ Saint days happen in Roman Catholic countries and people of other faiths or no faiths"take it in " or ignore it if they want to.Live and let live, thats my view.

All British people should celebrate the 12th because William III accepted the British crown as a constitutional monarch so that from 1690 onwards the parliaments were more powerful than the monarch. This was the birth of democracy in Great Britain and Ireland. It should be about democracy and not division.

Also introduced the Penal Laws which meant Catholics had no voice in that parliament, couldn't inherit land from protestants, marry protestants, inherit land from protestants etc. Took centuries after his death before civil liberties were restored.
