The TRUTH About Fishing for Flathead Catfish!
Спорт
Flathead fishing is definitely not glamorous, especially how I do it and the state where I fish in. There's not that much water, there's lots of anglers chasing them, and regulations on them are a step away from being nothing. To catch these fish, it involves a little luck and a TON of time on the water. Lots of trips involve fishing the entire night without a single bite to show for it. But it is what it is. Good luck and I hope you catch a giant!

French Fry Recipe
-Cut up some taters
-A little garlic powder
-A little onion powder
-A dollop of cayenne pepper
-A BUNCH of Lowrie's
Mix it all in olive oil
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Maybe 425. Can't remember for sure.
Cook for 50ish minutes. I think. If they aren't crispy, broil them for a few more minutes. Make em crispy. I'm hungry now.

How do you go about fishing these rivers solo? Specifically for put in/take out. I've got some waters here in Arizona that should be able to be fished similar to how you do it. But I dont know how to put in at one spot, then take out farther downstream without a separate vehicle

What techniques do you use to find bullheads for bait? I lost my honey hole, having trouble locating another.
@RiverCertified

I check a new public pond every week during the summer, even if its only for 15 minutes. Then I make a list on a Google doc of the pond, location, and what bait fish are in it. I usually look for ones that look really poopy haha.
I would take that flathead even right now 😢. Been a ruff season so far for me. Still thinking about coming out in the fall if you are still up for it.
