    (SPOILER FREE!) Fun fact: Grisha didn't see old Zeke and Eren through his perspective, instead he saw it all through Eren's perspective since Eren sent his memories back in time to Grisha via the Attack Titan. Notice how whenever Grisha sees Zeke, Zeke is within Eren's sight, so he saw it all in 3rd person view basically which means when he stared in Eren's eyes he actually saw himself. Must've trippy af for Grisha

    Grisha's entire story feels like a Greek tragedy now that we have all of this new context. A man who was trying to do good, turned in by his own son who he wouldn't be a proper father to. Gains a second chance, learns his lesson, and actually tries to be the father he should have been. Only to end up being mentally tortured and manipulated by his second son into throwing all his morals away without ever knowing if these actions would actually bring the good to the world he hoped for.

    To explain the future memories bit, the power of the Attack Titan is the power to send memories from its future inheritors back to its past inheritors. That makes it unique from other Titans which can only see memories from the past. The thing with the future memory transfer is that you can't send future memories back to your past self, since the AT only has to power to send the future memories to its past inheritors. There's a loophole, however, which Eren has exploited. If you send future memories to a past inheritor, and then unlock the past memory of that inheritor seeing those future memories, you see your own future memories. Grisha isn't actually seeing Eren. He's seeing himself in the 3rd person from Eren's pov, thus hearing what Eren is saying. It's the same with Zeke, Grisha only sees Zeke when Eren is directly looking at Zeke. When Eren kissed Historia, he unlocked the last of Grisha's memory of Future Eren sending him the future. Thus Eren learned of events which would occur in the future.

    Eren whispered in Isayama's ear and told him to write this story On a serious note, it's really scary how Grisha, someone who was so anti-Marley and pro-Eldia, saw one glimpse of Eren's plan and was like, "Zeke. You have to stop him." Despite Grisha's hate for Marley and how far he was willing to go, even HE thought his plan was too far. He was genuinely horrified. Whatever Eren's plan is, Grisha does not want it to happen. Speaking of, Zeke and Grisha finally getting to work out their issues and hug each other in a moment of pure love is really heartwarming. Grisha understood his mistakes when raising Zeke before. Instead of only treating him as a tool, he treats him as his son. Zeke is finally able to take his first step towards closure after years of trauma. Even if they had their differences, Grisha and Zeke can at least agree with one thing: Stopping Eren.

    Your interpretation is right. Nothing really changes. The past, present and future has already been written. Any 'changes' being made have already been part of the original timeline in the first place and aren't really changes. Eren always manipulated Grisha to kill the Reiss family, there was never an alternate timeline where he didn't. The timeline of AoT is deterministic.

  • @JeusAlprime108

    @JeusAlprime108

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@sreenivas6071 For your better understanding, we need to be on the same page in regard of the 5th dimension. We human are 4th dimension being who we can onlu perceived 3 dimension of space and 1 dimension of time, and via memories we could perceived that 1 dimension of time as timeline or a time thread. However when we need to discuss about timeloop, it is actually involved the 5th dimension of time which I might interpret it as "time area", just like a piece of fabric that piece together with many time thread. In the application in our real world, it is like every single second or milisecond of initial timeline move on, there is a new timeline started as well. So when we talk about time travel or sending memories to the past, it is not sending to our existing timeline but the following timeline that start later than ours. That's what Avenger Endgame utilised in their setting. So free will does existed in the initial timeline where no pre-written destiny or script existed for them to follow, metaphorically, it is like when the film being edit or book being wrote, that's when the initial timeline begin, and what happen when we read or watch this video or book is when the second or n-th time this time line begin, and all non-initial timeline are deterministic timeline, you got me? Because all the following timeline is just repeating what had already happen in the initial timeline. So when a interuption happen for eg. Attack Titan future memory things, it will affect the following timeline and causes changes in that few timeloop, however after several timeloop and several changes happen, it will eventually settle down just like water ripple and formed our known deterministic timeline again. That's what I am suggesting how AoT deterministic timeline formed even though the free will of Eren did existed as well but only during the initial timeline of the interuption of future memory happen, what we see in this AoT story now is after that initial timeline where free will has did his job and recorded and repeating in this timeline. Actually in Matrix Reload, the Oracle had said something like this to Neo, "Because you didn't come here to make the choice, you've already make it. You are here try to understand WHY you make it". This is one of the classic interpretation of how the following timeline reenacting what free will in the inital timeline has decided. And that formed deterministic timeline we seen because the choice and free will had did their job in the initial timeline, and we in the following timeline are merely here to understand why we make it. Sorry for the long essay explaining my logic but it seems like you are unable to comprehend my brief explaination in my first comment. So for you to get my points correctly, I have no choice but to elaborate it to such length.

    So in order to avoid any confusion regarding the time travel mechanics, I will break down what type of Time travel we're dealing with here. AOT operates by a particular type of time travel where it's almost impossible to change the past even if you somehow go back in time. And any change that you tried to cause was always meant to happen in the overall timeline. Here time is a fixed circle, not a stream. We may see Eren meddle in the past but that was always meant to happen. This calls into the question of the existence of free will in the world of Attack of Titan. The Attack Titan's ability is to receive the memories of its future inheritors. This was hinted when Kruger mentioned Mikasa and Armin towards the end of S3. Keep in mind, they can only view these memories but can't interact with them. So how was Eren able to meddle in the past? Well, he had 3 perfect conditions: 1. He had the ability of the Attack Titan 2. The ability of the Founding Titan 3. He was also in contact with someone with royal blood AKA Zeke. After Zeke tapped Eren's head, they were able to view Grisha's past memories with Eren using the power of the coordinate. They were freely able to view the past as if it were through a one way mirror. Now if Eren had any other Titan other than the Attack Titan, he would only be able to look. But since Attack Titan can see forward in time, Grisha can use this to see Eren's recollection of the same event that he's currently experiencing in real time. So this mean that whenever Grisha can see or hear Eren, he's actually recieving a brief future memory from Eren's POV where he can see out of his eyes and hear his words. That means he is seeing himself from a 3rd perspective. Then if he responds, his response is simply part of the memory that Eren/Zeke are viewing, allowing for a two way communication through time. Also Note that everytime, Grisha sees Zeke, Eren is always standing behind his dad. So whenever Grisha sees Zeke, it is from actually due to the memories from Eren's POV

Eren only saw CRUCIAL moments in the future, for example, he saw Pieck pointing a gun at him when he kissed Historia’s hand 4 years ago, this is why he was so calm when she threatened to shoot him, because Eren KNEW she wouldn’t shoot him. However, Eren DIDN’T know that Porco was going to try to eat him just a couple of minutes later. Even Eren doesn’t know EVERYTHING that will happen. I dont think Eren is a villain. He only did what he needed to secure titan power that he has. War was caused by Marley actions on people who had no memory of previous war. So I still consider them as bad guys. Not until Eren do something unthinkable like destroying entire World. Now we see him walking emotionless written path, based on his childhood emotions. This could make Eren a villain in the end, but show still didnt ended...

    OK SO TO EXPLAIN WHAT IS MEAN "I'm always been the same since the moment i was birth" In season 1 we see Eren kills two people without HESITATE, Eren from the beginning have this nature "If someone still my freedom, i never hesitate to take their" And in this final season we see Eren don't hesitate to attacking liberio, his nature always been like this from the beginig. It's just us as the audience who missundertood by Eren's heroic story in the first season, but the truth is that Eren never had the character of a hero. Eren from the beginning always been like this and this is the beauty of Eren's character writting

    “Err.. have I been to here before?” Eren, S3E6 “I was lucky enough to be the only survivor from the massacre.” Rob Reiss, S3E6 “If you want to save Mikasa, Armin and everyone else, you must complete your mission.” The Owl, S3E21 “My hand can still feel the way that my dad massacred the royal kids.” Eren, S4E19 The biggest plot twist finally revealed. Grisha, from the very beginning, was never “the real one” to kill the royal family. Some ppl may think Eren changed the past or time travel, no he didn’t, his manipulation to Grisha was included in the past. Neither past nor future could be changed in AOT. It has a fixed timeline. And the the attack titan ability, it actually does not foresight the future. It can receive brief memories from the future inheritor. How Eren knows his own future is the adult Eren sends memories back to his father, then when young Eren touches any royal, the memories will kind of unlock, so young Eren can see his future self from his father memories. Also the freedom seeking will from AT, is from Eren as every AT shifter follows will of the last AT.

    When Eren kissed Historia's hand, what he really saw wasn't just Grisha talking to Frieda, but his older self convincing his father to do it when Grisha nearly gave up, that's what freaked him out so much after kissing her hand, after that we can only assume he's been getting various flashes of the future that we as the audience aren't privy to yet; we don't know how far his foresight goes, or how complete it is

    I mean i still would not say Eren is the villian. He still has understantable motives to do that, like everyone. If Eren would not have send that memories to Grisha, the Reiss family would be alive, and the future of the eldians would be just death. Dont forgett that. Sure Eren did a really really terrible thing there, but just to save his own and the whole eldians. Its easy to say as a Watcher that he is a villian, but to be honest, i would have done the same in this situation... just humanity to try to save his own and the people that he loves. For sure if u remember Eren Kruger words "To save Armin and Mikasa".. and thats why i love AoT, there is no classic good vs. evil. Hero vs. Villian. EVERYONE has understantable motives.. everyone can be hated and loved at the same time.

    I remember a theory about time. The only way we can "exist" is through cause and effect, in other words one event leads to the next. Actual time, the past, present and future, however, exists all at once. That has some interesting ramifications, specifically for the future because if it has already "happened" then everything has already happened. Being someone who can see the future has to be one of the most torturous things imaginable, knowing that you can't change it. Can you say you're free to choose your own destiny at that point? That's gotta be Eren. He say's he is, can't wait for the conclusion.
