The Time When I Went to a Prophetic Seminar.

I went to a Shawn Bolz Prophetic Night Event back in 2019. It was meant to “teach people about the prophetic and make a safe space for people to practice it.” The ad for the event said it’s a “powerful evening seminar on hearing God's voice and incorporating the prophetic into your sphere of influence and daily life.” I actually recorded this experience to later make a video out of it. Well... I made a video out of it. This is NOT a hit piece on Shawn Bolz. I found him likable, well-spoken, and empathetic. I do, however, am troubled and have many concerns. I share clips of my experience, and give thoughtful commentary that I hope is firm but fair.

I spent about 10-12 years in WOF and NAR movement. I suffer with a rejection issue. I longed to be picked out of a crowd to be prophesied over. I was a conference junkie. I have been prayed over by the likes of bob Jones, John Paul Jackson, patrica king etc. NOTHING came to pass, absolutely NOTHING! I yearned to fall out in the spirit, speak in tongues, and see angels. Bought the tapes and books and t shirts! I was never able to do any of it and came to conclusion that God did not love me enough and something was wrong with me. I was left feeling abandoned, disappointed, angry frustrated, you name it. I woke up after the Lakeland revival debacle. Praise God, He plucked me out of that polluted river of apostasy. I threw out all my books tapes notes etc and will stick with the Words of God. All my friends continue in that deception 😥

My friend I am sorry you went through that but in the long run you figured it out. The Bible is enough and I don't need to hear Prophecies, Signs and Wonders. It is gobbledygook and very confusing. We are equally Annoited and there are no super Christians. The Word of God is enough. That is all we need. If you noticed they never prophesie that something bad is going to happen in someone's life. Ear tickling messages with no Gospel. We should keep it simple as Paul did. All we need is to understand the Life, Sacrifice and Resurrection of Christ. I know how hard it is to talk to Charismatics and get them to see they are chasing things that will never happen.

Yep me too - WOF Kingdom Now, Manifest Sons of God - oh my goodness, I had no idea that the stuff I was being taught back then had a name for it!! We were heavy into this, and was looking for our 'perfect place' where God wanted us so He could prosper us. Let's just say we moved alot, and were very very unhappy disillusioned people. Manipulation is big but subtle sometimes. Brainwashing, peer pressure to believe to be part of something 'big', etc. Sorry Melissa, I left the Charismatic/Pentecostal/Non-demoninational thing 10 years ago and am actually AFRAID to go anywhere near it, the mental emotional spiritual fallout was so bad. Not gonna do it. I can't even listen to a sermon by one of those people without being triggered. And yes, after being totally on board with all gifts, I am now a cessationist. I see no point in the gifts for the present or future - they had to do with the new Covenant coming in, proving Christ was who He said He was, and proving the Apostles gospel. Everything I need to know to live a Godly Christian life is in the scriptures, and it will take me the rest of my life just to even come close. I have been prophesied to numerous times, and always it was about how God was going to bless us, etc., nothing ever addressed the sin in our lives, always something we wanted to hear.

From experience of talking to familiar spirits, it sounds like he’s talking to them. My sister is currently like this. She just went to a Messianic Jew who says he can talk to people in the spiritual realm. Not God, other people! I said that sounded a lot like meduimship, and her response was "Well, I'm really close with the Holy Spirit, and I didn't feel anything off about it." Because I'm not super emotional about my faith, she thinks I'm not as mature in my faith and should be pittied. Never no mind the fact that at 30, she still hasn't read the bible all the way through even once. I don't know what else to do except pray God gives her wisdom and discernment. I must respond, more for your benefit than that of your sister. Clearly you understand that there is something wrong with your sister's presumption that being led by one's feelings, is a sign of spiritual maturity. The Spirit of God leads us according to the word of God, Jesus said, My words are Spirit and truth. It is also written, The testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy. Looking for direction spiritually apart from the Bible, is a dangerous pursuit, opening the door to demonic influences. We are clearly taught to avoid those that seek messages from the dead. There are familiar spirits that know things about people, even the dead. Hold to the head, do not swerve in your walk with Christ. Do not involve yourself with your sister's sin, but continue to pray for her repentance, and for God's mercy. Grace and peace be multiplied through the knowledge of God and of Christ.

Melissa, this hits home to me. I grew up in a charismatic church that believed in prophecy and it sounded a lot like this. One detail here. One detail there. Very vague language. My faith was in my experience and feelings, not truly in Jesus. I’d be so yearning to hear audibly from God that my mind would play tricks on me and I’d be talking to myself. It wasn’t healthy. I almost broke up with my wife before we got married because I had a voice in my head tell me to. Never mind the scriptures that say that finding a wife is a good thing. It caused me inner turmoil that led to severe marital issues that almost lead to divorce. I walled myself from God because of my guilt that marrying my wife may have been against God’s will. I carried this for the first 6 or so years before God slowly, but surely worked in my heart to draw me back to Him. To not rely on my experiences, but to know his Word and examine experiences from that. My charismatic leaders were way too affirming to my feelings and didn’t question me enough. And it led to bad theology that eventually turned into a shattered faith that God had to rebuild in me.

They were things that I have seen in the past 30 years come to fruition. Also in my early twenties, there were several words spoken by individuals that did not resonate with me one bit and were out of their own head, of their own spirit and fell flat on the floor and that's where they stayed. I may never have a prophetic word spoken over my life again, and I'm okay with that. If I cannot live my life based on the written word of God, then that's a problem.🧐

The mistake we make is that we want a person to confirm to us that God loves us and is concerned about our struggles instead of personally spending time with God in His Word and praying ourselves, getting a Word from the Holy Spirit while reading the Word and fellowshiping with God. Jesus was rejected and abandoned by everyone yet He knew that His Father loved Him and would never let Him go. Seek that kind of relationship with God yourself by spending time with God through the Word and prayer and He will confirm His love and acceptance to you Dear one. He promised if we seek Him with all of our heart we will find Him. It is up to us to individually seek Him. Once we do no matter who confirms us or doesn't we won't be shaken because we know whose we are. God bless!

This was so good. I loved how you pulled it apart. When I was 12, I grew up in a Pentecostal Church. I had just been baptized, and making my “confirmation”. I was sent to a room, where the elders and others would pray over each of us, I think there were 3 of us at the time… we were being prayed over to receive the gift of tongues. I remember being “coached” and on how to do it. It was extremely awkward, and after some time had passed, I just started to fake it. It was concerning to me, that in a room full of godly people, no one confronted me that I had been faking it. I remember thinking, are these people really tied in with the Holy Spirit the way they say they are? Because if so, wouldn’t they KNOW I was faking my speaking in tongues? Nope, instead the praised and praised God that I had received my gift. Shortly after, I had decided to see if anyone would notice if I spoke an interpretation out during service. So like usual, someone would get up, speak in tongues with a message and normally there would be someone to interpret it… I interpreted the message! In my own words!!! No one approached me asking me about it, I was only approached with praises!! Last, months later I spoke a false tongue testimony in church, wondering if anyone would be able to interpret it, since it wasn’t real. Sure enough, someone interpreted it!!! I was so shocked and remembered thinking so many things about what I had been taught. It’s when all my flags started to go up. My grand parents, who I love dearly, who are strong Christian’s… still hold to the Pentecostal church asked me about speaking in tongues. I told them, recapped all of this for them, they were a part of all of this with me while growing up… they were shocked! I told them that I have a lot of doubts when it comes to what this church movement teaches. And rightfully so… I tested it 3 different times! And the “church” failed them all. I’m the last 10 years, I have had two people tell me that God had a prophetic word for me. One person I knew well, another I didn’t know. And the one was extremely vague. I remember thinking wow, how cool that God gave him a message about me! Too bad it wasn’t more specific, it sounded like he could have had that message for anyone. So your video here helped me clear that assumption up. The other time, it was more of a statement over my life, and I still feel like it could have been real, especially since he was speaking to me about something that no one else should have known. When this person spoke, it was comforting and peaceful, the words I received. I’m still out on whether or not it was real. It wasn’t prophetic, about something to happen, it was a statement about where I was at in my walk with Jesus. This was way longer than I intended lol but I appreciate your videos, and your truth based from scripture so much!! It’s extremely refreshing and it’s helpful to know, I’m not alone in how I read and interpret the Bible!!

Hey there. Thanks for sharing, just wanted you to know that it would seem you have a gift of discernment which is being able to tell what is actually of God and what is not. The person who spoke over you had a word of knowledge which is also found in the Bible. They knew something about your life because God gave them that word over you. It should be encouraging because God truly sees you. He has seen you since the beginning. I pray that you would completely put all of your faith in Him because He is able to lead you, speak to you, teach you, show you the Way of Life which is found only in Jesus.

Growing up in the Pentecostal denomination, this was a common thing. There was a lot of fortune cookie 🥠 prophesy with no sound Biblical foundation. It was kinda weird how there were many people who would receive prophesy all the time vs. those who did not, which is the group where I fell into. For a while I believed that God wasn't interested in me and that I wasn't spiritual enough to be prayed or prophesied over. Glad I saw the light after I graduated undergrad.

It isn't real. I'll copy and paste what I just put up to correct her regarding the cessation of gifts that happened in the first century. The Lord Jesus Christ appeared to Paul and said he would reveal things. This of course refers to the dispensation of grace given to Paul for us, and the fall of Israel, they mystery of the riches of Christ. It was not all in prophecy. It would be revealed and not all at once. Paul said we know in part and prophecy in part. That makes perfect sense. Prophets were speaking on behalf of God. This would stop with all the scripture released. Tongues were a sign to unbelievers. Those of a different language understood others at Pentecost. It is not a personal prayer language or whatever cliche the local "Pentetcostal" church calls it these days. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is complete has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

This was terrific. If you’re unable to watch the whole video, please listen to at least the last few minutes. It’s that desire for a sign from God, something visible that hints at our lack of faith. God is enough! Scripture is enough. God has given us so much revelation, but in the end He is so much higher, and his inexplicable nature is what makes him God. Naturally we’re going to want to see signs & wonders. Like Gideon we’re going to want dew on or off our garment for proof. Even our declaring of great parking spots as “blessings” hints at our desire for the invisible to be visible. And God does give us so much tangible declaration of his love. But in the end we need to make him alone enough.

I was this person too. God and scripture are definitely enough! Signs and wonders? There were enough recorded in scripture to prove Christ was the Messiah, not only that, they were prophesied in the old Testament so that when they came to pass they would know for sure this was the one! I realized several years ago when wanting God to prove His existence, that I am surrounded by 'signs and wonders'. Amazing and astounding nature and our human bodies - the intricacies and tiniest details just stagger the mind! The more I thought about this, the more I couldn't believe that the evidence of God was right here in front of me all the time!

I remember having a similar experience at a prophetic conference 20 years ago where almost every woman in attendance had a prophetic word spoken over her. Meanwhile I was desperate to hear from God. My life was in tatters, I believed in my Salvation through Jesus but I was crying out to God help me in my unbelief, and I thought I would receive that help at the conference; I never had a prophetic word given to me. Fast forward to present day and I know completely that God was protecting me in my vulnerable state. I believe fully that I am loved, even when I don’t “feel” loved. God perfectly loves me, He perfectly shows me His righteous, holiness regarding my relationship with Jesus. I trust God’s Word to reveal who God is, and not to tell me what is going to happen. Thank you for sharing this experience Melissa and for being faithful to scripture and what the Lord has taught you through His word.

I totally relate to your conclusion. During 2020/21, I had alot of dreams. Dreams that were correcting, as well as affirming. Then suddenly they stopped and I was left wondering, what did I do wrong? God, where did you go? It really bothered me, until I heard someone ask essentially the same thing. Without the spiritual experiences, is God enough? It humbled me quickly. Of course God is enough, but I couldn't deny that these experiences made me feel special. I then read in Matthew 16, where the religious leaders bated Jesus to show off his power and He called them, "a wicked and adulterous generation..". They were greedy for the razzmatazz, but their hearts didn't desire the truth. This convicted me, it still does. Jesus is our bread of life, he is our living water. He is enough, He is sufficient. The work of the cross that brings about the saving of our souls is really all the razzmatazz we need.

There was a lot of emotion, but neither my friend nor I felt God's presence or even an opportunty to praise God. Afterward I asked my buddy, "What did you think?" His reply was, "Spiritual masterbation." Now, we both still describe ourselves as evangelical Christians, but find a need some 40 years later to warn people about the emotional highs that get promoted and being taken up in the genuine presence of God's Holy Spirit. Another fine presentation, Melissa. Keep up the good work.

100% agree. For years the feeling of being an "incomplete Christian" because I wasn't "given the gift of tongues" drove me in the New Age direction. Thankfully, reality slapped me in the face and I got back to the God of my childhood. Hearing you talk about it made some pieces fall into place for me and I realize that "failure" in seventh grade led to over a decade of decisions driving me from God. Pretty sad that such was foisted on me by a "Christian" church.

Great job clarifying your stance on hyper charismatic teaching and practices. I have friends at a church that is hypercharasmatic (my husband and I used to be hypercharasmatic and attended this church). I, too, believe that the gifts are in practice today and that God is certainly able to move without needing to change. We just have to stick closely to the word of God and remember that human nature tends to corrupt for the sake of power, pride and selfishness. I love dancing before the Lord and singing expressively because God has been incredibly good to me. I may even take a lap, but God's word is paramount and often taken out of context in the hypercharasmatic church. One day I'll find a church solid scripturally AND with expressive praise and worship

Wow. You did a great job handling that in a gentle, intelligent and wise way! Agree with you in most of the things you said here. I’m very much in the charismatic ‘stream’ but we are slack at reading our bibles and just enjoying and accepting the simplicity of his love through the scriptures. I love His presence and there’s definitely room for ministries that help with inner healing, ‘feeling’ can be dangerously subjective, and they can often be open to manipulation. I also thought it was interesting how the focus was on upgrading material things often- Nothing wrong with that per se, but often God is more interested in kingdom things like upgrading understanding of holiness, or the virtues of patience, or of His ways. Haven’t seen any of your other videos yet, but you deftly handled this one.

A church that I was heavily involved with(I was one of 3 elders) decided to do a Shawn Bolz book for their homegroups to study, chapter by chapter… it was ‘Translating God’. When I brought up the issues I had with Bolz(having done some rather deep looking into him years previously after a weirdly specific ‘prophecy’ over a friend of mine which didn’t come to pass in the slightest), the pastor’s wife who had chosen the book said she’d heard it all, but that he was all about love, so it was ok… So because he said it’s all about love, it didn’t matter if he was truthful or legit or doctrinal…? It blew me away completely.

"The Charismatic Movement in general is doubt looking for evidence." (From the series Charismatic Chaos by John MacArthur) I used to be open but cautious. Not anymore. I now consider myself firmly in the cessationist camp, especially as far as the revelatory gifts are concerned. (Tongues, prophecies, interpretation of tongues, dreams, visions) I believe that God orders the steps of those who belong to Christ and that miracles still occur but not to authenticate someone as an apostle or prophet. The foundation has already been laid by Christ, the Apostles and prophets and that's why I believe that the sign gifts are not in operation in the church. I'm 53 years old and spoke in tongues the first time at age 7. (1976) I started preaching at age 17 (1986) as a Oneness Pentecostal. At age 34, in 2003, I left my parent's Pentecostal church and joined my wife's family's Baptist church that we were married in. (We left over some legalism that was being taught over Christmas) It was the hand of God. I thought I could help that church out but instead God was helping me out. I asked God to show me if the Trinity and the security of the believer was true and He did. I didn't even know what justification was or the attributes of God were. It was embarrassing but doctrine is what I needed. I knew a lot of Scripture but it's like the Bible came to life when I began to see the doctrines of grace. The light bulb was turned on in me. All that being said, It was probably 10 years or so before I stopped praying in tongues and was beginning to become more and more convinced of the error of the Charismatic Movement. The biggest change in my life has been in the last 3-5 years and especially in 2020 when none of the prophets of Baal could see COVID coming or Biden being president. Jesus is coming very soon and Judgement begins at the house of God. God bless your ministry and quest for truth, Melissa Dougherty. Maranatha!

The first "word" from Boltz though....he said "I feel like...." so many times I just blanked out. The prophets in the bible never felt like God was speaking. When the word came, there was no doubt about the speaker: God!! I also noticed that most of Boltz' crew only "prophesy" nice things on their own people, never calling out sin or the need for repentance which was actually a core message with most, if not all, biblical prophets. May God help us in these last days as we take a stand for truth.

And I was told because once would not be enough for you. And that is so so true. If He did it once then why is he not doing it now when I need it more than ever! You just nailed something that happened to me on a woman’s church retreat! Twitterpated, is the word that best describes the annoyance I felt around them. If they weren’t in constant worship or verbiage, it was like not in constant step. It annoyed me deeply. I absolutely love Yeshua my whole life, but I know there’s a balance, or your just going to turn people off. It in some way it’s like politics, I don’t need to be in constant discussions of it, so I don’t give the impression I have my head stuck in the sand. I absolutely love these women, they have a huge heart so I know they mean well. We are all in our own little prisons of beliefs. 🙌🏼❤️‍🔥🙌🏼

Those vague ones make Christians look bad and the gospel look weak. It is rampant in the church. We cannot force God to speak, period. Love how you explain "twitterpated" for God. It is so true. I often feel as if God is not interested in my life because I don't "hear" from him daily or have these experiences you speak of & I know I am not alone. Feeling as you say, a 2nd hand Christian because we lack these experiences, as if having Jesus alone is not enough, is really perpetuated by these prophetic & hyper charismatic circles. Everybody wants that spiritual experience from one who hears from God. I sat in a church like that for nearly 2 decades, where "prophets" would come to visit. What I noticed over time, was that God never had a word for the average person, say teachers or nurses or retail workers etc. No, the front row people always got the prophecies or those who owned businesses cuz God was going to bring them increase & they would do great things. I even remember the one prophet who could give people's addresses & then told one lady to expect a $300,000 check in the mail. She was in the pastor's inner circle. Many years later, the check never came & she no longer attends the church as is the case with myself & thousands of other members who left for many reasons. It's just disheartening that Jesus isn't enough anymore.

I definitely understand the part where you said 'have avoided listening to any challenging view points out of fear.' YES, I was like that too, why is that? Was it because I was taught to 'touch not God's anointed'? or that to question was to invite God's wrath? or maybe we were afraid of being 'double-minded' and keeping God from fulfilling his so-called promises made by these people? I was also taught the we had the 'full' gospel, and others didn't. I don't know, but when I came out of that circle, I sincerely asked God for understanding while committing to read the scriptures daily (I was not a big Bible reader up to that point!), thinking and pondering what I read, setting aside everything I thought I knew so I could see what I was missing in the scriptures. Context was a big part of it! (these people like to cherry pick scripture and twist meanings of them. There was a lot of indoctrination to be undone/corrected.). God has helped me so much. He is a patient, kind and gentle God. He didn't mind my questions either! I wanted to be a Berean - one who searched the scriptures to be sure that what was being taught to them was Truth. We have permission in scripture to question. :0)

Melissa, you said "when people got prophecy, it was incredibly specific". I have recently finished reading Isaiah, and have read the whole Bible, and every prophet with a book comes to mind: Daniel, Joel, Habakkuk, etc. [I'm just going to say all of them]. While there may have been some specifics, large sections of prophecy is not specific, and specific or not, it's not all clear...until that prophecy is fulfilled, and in some cases quoted in the New Testament. I'm now reading Revelation -- clear as mud -- detailed, yes, but how many books have been written on the possible meanings of it all, who it applies to and when? You make some good points about how he's going about delivering his prophetic words: Birthdays & anniversaries, asking certain questions, and even "does that apply to someone here?" I'm just pushing against the idea that prophecy is always specific -- or if it's specific, against the idea that its application would be clear. In the case of Isaiah, is "the servant" Jesus? (Isaiah 53) or specific apostles? (Isaiah 49:6 quoted in Acts 13:47), or perhaps any servant of God doing the will of the Lord? In giving His word, God does not make clear that the "servant" He's referring to is different from one chapter to another. One important thing I think we need to do is to ask God for His interpretation of whatever He has said or shown us before we open our mouth about it, or take action on it. We should ask God for understanding, and what He wants us to do with the information.

Since the prophecy my husband has been able to eat food, he went nearly 10 years w/ inability to eat solid foods & constant vomiting. He was concerned he would need a feeding tube. This was a brilliant video Melissa! You gave a loving, balanced breakdown of this issue that I learned a lot from. I've so appreciated hearing your commentary and experience when it comes to this topic. God bless you! I've recently been trying to become more open to the reality of spiritual gifts and learn more about them, and I share your sentiment so far about rarely seeing them authentically and not being abused. It's tragic. There are ecclesiological issues causing this that stem from unbelief and idolatrous lusts. I personally feel there is a systemic lack of testing when it comes to supposed "prophecies". What gets said in a service is too unmoderated in some circles and is not checked beforehand by leaders. Thus, false prophecies slip through and the idolatry of the supernatural is allowed to thrive. I think this is often well intentioned. Some churches are wonderful churches - the sermons are great, the worship is fabulous and the community loves the Lord - but still suffer from these issues. People seem to feel like they don't want to stifle the Spirit's work, which is a good sentiment, but we must come back to what God has said in His word and the instructions we're given on how churches should be run. We cannot presume we know better based on our own feelings. We need to take care to follow Scripture, and leaders need to do their jobs as shepherds of God's people. Ensuring spirits are tested, discerning truth from lies, and teaching the congregation to do the same. Granted, I don't have a lot of knowledge and experience with these things yet. Anyone who's reading is welcome to share their thoughts!

I appreciate this video well explained and explored. And your intro explaining where your coming from was good. I like how you said God won't bypass our minds and go straight to our heart when giving a prophecy. I remember when I was in the new age one of the people in the group said they had a christian prophet walk up to them and tell them God was very pleased with them. This person DID work in community services helping vulnerable people but she was also a practising psychic. She walked away thinking Christians are just doing the same thing she is but with more rules and dogma in place. I was new age and am now charismatic but i fully understand why we need to be careful especially after coming from new age and our addiction to psychics and tarot etc. Sometimes there's just simplicity in the Bible and it's nice to just be content with that. Sometimes it's probably better to say, 'hey while you were talking i had a thought do you think....', rather than 'thus says the Lord'.... for me i ended up in the new age, in part because I was going through something bad and i said God, if you can't come down here and actually help me i don't want to be hear anymore. I thought he's made this world, it's aweful and I'm supposed to follow a bunch of rules in spite of constantly being pooped on or he will judge me and I'm going backwards instead of forwards in life. That was what i thought. And he did come save me from that but then the new age insinuated itself into the space that had opened and i got pulled away from Christianity all together. So i didn't have a proper comprehension of the gospel and i was struggling to walk the path. He brought me back though, cause here i am 😂

I'm really struggling and this just eased my heart so much. I just fully truthfully honestly want to serve God with my whole heart mind and soul. I'm so afraid of being les astray bc I already did that for the first 30 years of my life, but it seems like it's just as easy to be led astray even in the christian world as it is in the world and that frustrates me so much. Every time I ask a hard question that people don't have answers for they say well read the scripture when they themselves can't tell you the scripture that makes them think that way. It's like how am I suppose to understand the scripture your telling me to read if you don't even understand it yourself....I'm sorry to unload in your comment section, but I just needed to get this out I guess. Women are not prophets, a prophet is a man. Moreover, under the new covenant, there is no prophetess as it was the case in the old testament. Anna was the last mention of a legitimate prophetess. In the book of the Revelation, there was at Thyatira, a woman named Jezebel, who called herself a prophetess, whom they allowed to teach the people to eat things offered to idols. We do not all have the gift of prophecy, but simply having the gift does not qualify one as a prophet.. Prophecy is unto men, for edification, exhortation and comfort. In the Church, prophecy is subject to be judged by other prophets. It is not always a foretelling of events, but it may be simply a magnifying of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts, or in Acts 19, when certain disciples received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and prophesied. Think soberly, as God has given to every man the measure of faith (that is to say, gift). And as every man has received the gift, let him minister the same, and prophecy according to the measure of faith given him, and be not vain glorious. Grow in grace and in the knowledge of God and of Christ.

You cannot teach people to "prophesy". This is so unbiblical and dangerous because of the very obvious reason that you don't know where that person you are teaching is at in regards to sanctification and renewing of the mind. I asked a friend how he knows if a prophet is from God. He cited Deut. 18:22 “when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Then I asked to read Deut 13: 1-3 ““If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God is testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭13:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Jesús and the apostles warned about the last days signs of many false prophets. Do not be deceive!
