She’s a big lioness, and I am quite surprised, I’d thought these males would have been a lot larger to be honest. Still very striking and handsome big males but that lioness is quite a sassy beautiful brute herself, that Majingilane blood perhaps?. Well in any case this looks to be an exciting but perilous time for the pride. I’m entering pre study for zoology next year, the professor requested I share this video to the large screen in class this morning, everyone was impressed by the quality footage, excellent work guys. 🙌🏼

She does seem to be as tall at the shoulder as her boyfriend. The Ndzengas are muscular, but maybe not overly tall. Yes, the Kambulas/Ntsevus are Majingilane daughters. I think their Tsalala grandmothers were tall-ish and long-legged. The Manghenis, the mothers of the six Kambulas, seem to be tall-ish and long-legged; their fathers were Kinky Tail and Mr. T. (Mapogos), who were not especially large males; I'm not sure just how large or tall the Majingilanes were.

They did a wonderful job siring cubs, the sub adult males in this pride will be forced out and the only thing we can hope for is that they stay healthy and unharmed. The BBoys are also taking care of their Krueger pride with cubs, so there is a chance that they could have sub adults representing from multiple prides. Why do they call it a pride takeover.I definately don't.There are 7 subadult lionesses that in a few months will be ready to venture on their own and mate. The two Birmingham boys are nowhere near this area they are with the original Kumbulas with cubs. This motherless adult is very smart. She is the dangerous one who likes to lure them and then their bait. She is more the protector over these subadults. When time comes these females will either go to these four boys the Avocos or the plainscamp boys. These two Birmingham boys ain't going anywhere and if they do get close the Birminghams will not run there will be a battle and it could be deadly. This is the Birminghams stronghold their last domain. They will fight tooth and nail.

Totally agree - I read one of commenters say that the BB boys are with the original lionesses and cubs right now. But that doesn't mean that they have abandoned anything. Since the Avocos were there recently and killed a couple of the cubs, the BB boys are making sure that part of the pride are safe for now. Once they get wind that these lions are trying to "take over", I don't think they'll stand for it.

The Kambula lioness was amazing. This story has yet to be told. Seven months ago it was the start of a takeover with the Avacos. That didn't come to fruition. There are so many factors and scenarios that could play out. All four Ndhzengas are not always together. The 2 BBoys vs 2 Ndhzengas and the support of a huge powerful pride and the tables are turned for sure. The subadults are old enough to leave and have a great chance to thrive. The BBoys are already legends, but like all the great coalitions of the past their reign will end one day. Better to die a King than a coward. I'm sure they will defend their territory til the end. However, if they feel the odds are insurmountable then wisdom kicks in, and they move on to their next opportunity.

Our Queen Tsalala was a cousin to them as is her daughter, our little princess Tsalala. But I’m not in favor of our little princess meeting up with them because the Kambula’s are the very definition of wild and they would kill her! A lion Pride doesn’t adopt lone lionesses but considers them rivals not related cousins etc. Has anyone seen or heard about our little princess lately I’m very worried about her!!! Also, where’s Tinyo and his brother Nehana??? Thanks Mala Mala for this update and amazing video💕💕💕💕💕

The Nwashwishaka/Ndhzenga males have come a long long way since they first showed up in Sabi sands their confidence is through the roof now compared to when they first showed up and were very skittish and inexperienced, even then we as lion followers/lovers still considered them to be the most stable coalition in the reserve it was only a matter of time for their confidence to build

It seems that Tinyo has not been seen for a few weeks since he was seen near the KNP border. Just lately, some of the Kambula/Ntsevu subs killed a leopard in eastern Mala Mala. I think the rest of the subs are further west in Mala Mala, with Nhena, and the three lionesses who have the eleven cubs.

My heart sank watching this...the courage of that lioness...just WOW...Does anybody know which Kambulas lioness that was? I knew seeing the most recent video of Blondie along with Amahle's injuries that there was already a confrontation (between Nwaswishakas and N. Avocas), brothers competing for mating fight but they don't generally inflict severe debilitating injuries that would impact the success of the coalition in a takeover. Blondie is in bad shape in his last WE siting (12/3); he can barely walk, clearly in severe pain with each step. So where were Nenha and Tinyo during this? They have young clubs to protect.I noticed Gore was traveling significantly behind on the first trip- he clearly doesn't have the stamina of the others...two on two plus those six Kambula lionesses (there are 30 in the pride, 6 lionesses with 24 subs and cubs to protect). I think the Birmingham Boys would pose a significant challenge to the Nwaswishakas, after all Tinyo took on both N. Avocas and lately has been looking good - he's back to his baseline, and Nenha is always the epitome of a beast. They fight smart. Plus, everyone commenting on the size of the lionesses - yes they are the same size of the Nwaswishakas but mores those Nwaswishakas while in good condition here are relatively small, I think if they were side by side to a Dark Mane or even the Birmingham boys you would see the size difference. Thanks for bringing us this ongoing saga!

Be real Tinyo fought blondie one on one, he never chased both avocas a matter off fact it was mohawk doing the chasing.Mohawk already had chased nenha out off there and Tinyo wanted no part off Mohawk.Your underestimating these Nwaswishakas lions and there bigger then you think. As for blondie hes almost always had that limp and hes real warrior off a lion.I just hope the Kabula lions get out off there because they would be awesome lions 2 off them are as big as most lions.
