Nice footage. Those young males are big and coming into their own. There were not nearly enough hyenas to drive them off. They grow in confidence and strength quickly at that age p,is there are three of them. They will be unstoppable in a year.

Very nice, with the animal politic between the lions and hyenas, then the elephants crossing the river, the silhouette of giraffes, and finally, the full moon. Beautiful!

So happy to see them with full bellies, when lions have feast everyone else will have as well... when they finish 😂❤.

Yes, they both have very distinctive vocations, it's cool to see young lions building their confidence and hayenas being warriors for the piece of the bones.. cool carnivores.

Thanks so much for these videos. What I don't understand is why the hyenas persist to take from the lions? I know that they are excellent hunters so why risk getting hurt or worse, killed, over a piece of meat? Just go hunt your own instead of wasting time harassing the lions and trying to steal from them? Be smart like the painted dogs and move on if it's not going to happen pretty quickly imo. Great footage however. Again, thanks 🦋

Wild dogs would do this if they had the physical strength and patience that spotted hyenas did. In terms of intelligence, spotted hyenas are on par with baboons and brown bears. They know exactly what they're doing and they aren't in any rush. They also recognized there aren't any adult males there, and lionesses very rarely kill adult hyenas.

​@@doktorhyenaspot on and also hyenas like their bragging rights, so to speak. They love snatching to show they can, for some reason. They are also part of the clean up crew. They can eat and Digest hooves and horns where the lions cant.

Can't imagine trying to enjoy your lunch with those things yapping/screaming. They win the auditory annoyance prize in the animal kingdom (yes I know each vocalization means something - to them), but still annoying AF.

Very true, animals do suffer to survive especially when their habitat is getting stolen from them to make room for farms, housing subdivisions, parking lots and shopping malls.
