An individual that i once worked with...told me of a vauge idea of his experiences being on the battle field as a medic, and then as a paramedic on the hoepey fields in Arizona i believe it was. He was taking too much from a lonely boss who seemed to have problems facing the lack of control under his own roof, and was power tripping in a way...this co worker stood his ground and i witnessed this as a younger man (24, and 36 now), and the situation got heated and the co worker told our boss he's quitting right then and there! (believe he finished his shift, but quit very shortly after) I asked him why he would just leave and talk as he did, and his response still resinates with me, to this day. (Only paraphrasing) He told me, "i have seen men on their death beds (similar to a scence from saving private Ryan, is the way i imagined what he was saying...as Tom Hank's character, told one of the soilders to stop administrating any more Morphine) and many of their final words are regrets that they had...such as i should have asked a particular girl out, or i should have told my mom i loved her." After saying all of that...he told me that, he will not take anything from people, as it was a way to avoid having unneccesary regrets, that were avoidable. I personally do not know who you are feeling...as only one could imagine every other persons pain that they are individually facing. Hope my experience can help guide both of you and all those around her, to give that angel back to where she came from.

Yes, I think that I was very fortunate to grow up in the 1960's with all the amazing music that was being made at that time. I was 13 when the Beatles and the Stones first hit the charts and the Beatles, especially, had me hooked. I think this song from the Stones was one of their best.

I am 73 years old and this song still makes me cry for the seventies in Vancouver. It was my valhalla.

it is something you never get over and to lose them at sea is so awful.My dad, grandma, boyfriend, husband, sister and sister in law all died from cancer and apart from my grandma have lived longer than them all. My sister R.I.P and I often used to do our own karoke before it became fashionable. Thinking of you srrings. Music can bring back so many memories whether good or bad

We went to see them evey time they performed in LA..my husband died last August don't think I can go this time without him

Half s century ago this song was released. My close friend bought Goats Head Soup and we'd sing this song together. Sadly, a few years later she passed unexpectedly. This song still resonates and brings me to tears.

I was a lovestruck teen when he played this to me alone. I miss Angie. She was an enemy turned my best friend that I ever had. She drank herself to death 2017. And I wasn't there at the end at all, my heart always breaks when this song plays. I loved and trusted her dearly and unlike anyone else.

Keith Richards wrote it about his daughter, while he was in rehab in Switzerland

I grew up in the 70s.When i first heard this masterpiece by the Stones.I knew then that they were going to be the best rock band ever.Thanks to the Rolling Stones as there will never be another band like them.

This is probably one of the best songs ever. Especially if you're a kid and you're in love.

***** been there myself, Anthony. There's nothing that makes it better. Time goes on and you learn how to adjust... I'm still adjusting from the only girl I ever asked to marry me in 1984, turning me down... So I know how you feel brother. And I went the whole drinking and drugs route... And that just made everything worse. In the end it's all about adjusting... and that's about all that can be done, unless someone else has a better way....

Absolutely love this song. ❤It brings me to tears. “Angie” will be my future daughter’s nickname.

Not one of their most definitive songs but Jagger sings with heartfelt emotion. One of my favourites from the Stones.

This is my favorite Stones song. Mick sings fom his heart in this song. It brings me back to 1973. I was 10 years old and my cousin was listening to this song in the car. To me....the Rolling Stone's will be the greatest Rock and Roll groups of all time. I love how they all wore makeup in this video. My biggest regret is not seeing them live in concert. Long live the UK 🇬🇧 for creating the best singers in the world.

My mom named me after this song in 1973, she passed away in 2019 so it's pretty special to me..always will be. ❤

Me too. We all turn 50 this year! This song is so incredibly sad. I feel like it's the reason my dad gave himself permission to abandon me. He sang it to me when I was 3 and then I never saw him again.

One of their best songs. I always have liked this sad song, that describes a break-up of a relationship that did not work out.

In my humble opinion, the best song they ever made. It's gut-wrenchingly sad and beautifully poignant. Best love song ever written❤❤❤

YES! Back then Mick had an ever so slightly androgynous beauty that I wasn't aware of at the time. One of the great gifts of KZread is to be able to see them all again as they were. They were all gorgeous!

a masterpiece ballad!

1973 I was 21 and living above a garage in a one room apartment. Rent $75/month. Only care in the world was my motorcycle, women, weed and partying. I didn't think more than one day ahead at a time. So long ago now. Both parents dead, one brother all relatives and my precious daughter last year. Divorced and just one brother left. Things change and not always for the best. But I keep on keeping on my friends.

I was 18 or 19 when this song came out. It was the fall of 1973 and I heard on the radio on commute to classes to a nearby junior college. In my search for original 45 rpm records. I found a pretty clean sounding original pressing of "Angie". The Stones did a number of slower tempo emotional songs. This was my personal favorites.
