The Rolling Stones performing "Sympathy For The Devil" from The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus
Recorded before a live audience in London in 1968, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus was originally conceived as a BBC-TV special. Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, it centers on the original line up of The Rolling Stones -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman (with Nicky Hopkins and Rocky Dijon) -- who serves as both the show’s hosts and featured attraction. For the first time in front of an audience, “The World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band” performs six Stones classics. The program also includes extraordinary performances by The Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Yoko Ono, and The Dirty Mac. A ‘supergroup’ before the term had even been coined, the band was comprised of Eric Clapton (lead guitar), Keith Richards (bass), Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience (drums), and John Lennon on guitar and vocals.

The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil (Official Video) [4K] 0404am 12.11.23 go and watch performance. it's neat. allegedly says more about those who watch it than it does about those who created it. which might be the case.... i think i have seen that particular film about: 50 times. which isn't too excessive... not over the course of 30 years, it isn't.

There were more than just John and Yoko there. I spied some of the memebers of the Who there as well. Plus some others the camera guy focused on looked familiar but couldnt place the name or the band. That audience was packed with Rock n Roll Legends.

We must have been at the same performance. Beyond stupendous. The set for this song with those snakes and little devils was [what superlative fits!] as were all the others. Had to come back to see this video. The word "Awesome" is debased and overused today but it sure fits the Stones yesterday, today and tomorrow. Long may they rock!

The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil (Official Video) [4K] 093am 6.11.22 i agree.. these kids could be big one day. you never know... ah well sarcasm and general cynicism never flourish nor is ever understood... no idea what i was gonna impart other than this could be a gothic kindda day or maybe a performance kindda day ie: two films to enjoy as you sip on some whisky tumbler... though there is the rugby and football to consider. i suppose your mick will be watching the cricket? anyhow; great dope cake!!!
