Best movies ever It’s called “Biege Volvo trilogy”

This was one of my grandfather's favorite movies. He was a fighter during the Korean War. He died last December at age of 87 from a brain aneurysm. I chose the first half of this song as funeral music for him. RIP Fafa. Harold Brewer (1933-2020)

I tink Zimmer has many diamond pieces of Music. = BatmanBegins, The Dark Knight+rises, The ROck, Pirates of the Carribbean1-3, Gladiator, LionKing 1994, Last Samurai, Inception, Interstellar, Kung Fu Panda 1-3, Man of Steel, Mission Impossible 2, Prince of Egypt, Sherlock Holmes 1-2, Illuminati, DaVinciCode, Tears of the Sun, Crimson Tide, The Thin Red Line, The Road to El Dorado, Black Hawk Down, Dunkirk, Rain Man, . and even more depending on taste.

Strangely he doesn't seem to rate it himself. He's been touring lately and the concert features things like TDK, Lion King, Inception, Crimson Tide, and POTC, but not this. A shame, as this was prob his first really great one, and the one many of us were first exposed to.

Just hearing those words, "They're not coming for us, are they sir?" gets me every time. Makes me think of all the real soldiers who have said those words over the years, those left in some shithole to die.

I came here to show my respect for the guy who made my childhood awesome. I had this movie on blue ray it was "The best movie choices" in that time. Sean will always be my favorite actor. Love this theme also.

@Toby Williams 7 James Bond outings, The Hunt for Red October, A Bridge too Far, Entrapment, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Rock, even The Untouchables... It's a tribute to how good an actor Connery was that he is rarely discussed as an action hero but his action resume is as impressive as anyone.

Actually it's mostly Nick Glennie Smith and not Zimmer (Zimmer worked on it though and produced it, NGS was part of his company Media Ventures, at the time)

There was something about the scores Hans Zimmer produced in 90s and early 2000s. he did so many action movies at that time, and they all had this loud electric guitar energetic patriotic style

Sean Connery looked like Saruman when he came out from the prison. And then turn into James Bond. And now he turned into the badass FBI ever. This movie is so awesome and had it on Blue Ray. Best Movie Choses in that time.

Omg.. remembering this as a 16 year old first time crying in a cinema ... the shower scene with the navy seals getting shot to sh*t while their commander can't give them the order to stand down... such epicness i have yet to see...

No Die Hard is good but The Rock have the best soundtrack . It's one of the best action movie of all time. Just check this part at his soundtrack at 4:27 . According to me this movie is one of the best movie in all of the time. The Rock (1996) with Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris.

This is one of the best movies sean Connery was a part of in his later years. I love the theme, and the movie. Ed harris, and nicholas cage did excellent work in this movie. John spencer was great in this movie as FBI director Womack. Rest in peace all the departed actors and crew of this movie.

Ed Harris is great in this film also.

The intro was simply amazing a 5 star classic film!!!!

Главный антагонист, по сути, не злодей, а человек, доведенный до отчаяния такой вопиющей несправедливостью по отношению к своим боевым товарищам, братьям, погибшим за страну, при этом их семьям ни правды, ни компенсации, ничего. Главный герой - простой человек, не гора мышц, не супермен, а человек, в силу обстоятельств и своей профессии и личных причин попавший в такой заплёт. А кто встал на его сторону? Британский агент, по сути 007, просидевший четверть века в застенках, ненавидящий эту страну, но у которого есть личный мотив помочь справиться с ситуацией. Легендарное кино, великолепная игра Эда Харриса, сэра Шона Коннери, и начало великого сезона 1996-1997 годов для Николаса Кейджа, ставшего едва ли не главным героем боевиков 90-х

Correction, yesterday I rewatched this movie and it has not aged well. The editing is a nightmare, the needless slo-mo and unnecessary explosions gave me a headache. Plus the continuity is non existent. So basically, Bay never made good movies! Plus the theme is identical to POTC, I know this came first but it was distracting.

I was just a kid when i watch this movie. That intro with this music already sent shivers down my spine. Every now and then I'd look for this theme just to reminisce it again.

The song by itself already is amazing. I often forget about this movie but clearly one of the best action movies during the 90's when you would only see Arnold Shuazenheguer material

@@JP-xn7si no. It is Commander Anderson (listen to the exchange between Anderson and Hummel before the massacre) and Lieutenant Shepard (Anderson calls him Lieutenant)

They could not have cast this movie any better! Great performances from everyone involved. And to add hands down my favorite rolls for both Ed Harris and nick cage

The golden era of movies and for me it's the best Action movie I've ever seen , starting from the soundtrack to the acting and the great script with its diamond quotes ❤

This song and movie is epic. It tells the story of true heroes, courage and standing for something no matter the cost

I listen to this at work and end up shattering my keyboard and answering the phone with the most dramatic, emphatic "Hello?!" you've ever heard.

Man I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this soundtrack. Ed Harris is a very underrated actor. RIP Sir Connery.

RIP Sir Sean. Your actor presence was magnificent no matter the role. Maybe the best movie music until now (at least for me)

This is pretty comparable to the MGS2 theme, and that one is definitely also a goosebumps-inducing masterpiece!

I HAVE to believe that The Rock HEAVILY influenced Kojima's direction for the Metal Gear Solid Series. Patriotism, betrayal, politics, high-stakes tactical espionage action.

I saw this movie in cinema for the first time when I was 11 and it’s still one of my favourites, 25 years later. And I often have to watch it again. Simply great!

My favorite movie of all time, first time I saw it I was like 17 or 18, I am 38 now, and still this is my favorite one. RIP Sean Connery.

After the movie she had two reasons not to sleep 😂😂😂 Joke, actually it distracted her quite well and during the movie I told her that the blood she seens in reality is just ketchup and she started singing ketchup ketchup ketchup in the SpongeBob SquarePants medoly (pizza pizza pizza). 😁

Such an underrated movie, Ed Harris and Sean Connery two titans sharing the screen, Micheal Biehn (one of my favourite actors) Tony Todd, William forsythe all great in their performances, even cage and the actor who plays womankind, David Morse another favourite actor, the thing that gives me goosebumps though, is THIS music with Hanz Zimmer (and forgive me another great composer) I watched this last night. It's an epic movie.

Best soundtrack ever made for any film,Michael bay can direct movies and select good theme songs as all of his films are brilliant but this is by far the best he’s done

This movie always reminds me of the game metal gear solid 1 on ps1.
