THE RIVER WILD Clip - "Gun" (1994) Kevin Bacon
PLOT: Fast-paced thriller in which a young family on a white-water rafting adventure in Montana are taken hostage by a pair of dangerous fugitives. The rafting holiday - a birthday gift for the New England couple's ten-year-old son - turns into a nightmare when the two armed killers take control and try to force the mother, a proficient rafter, to use her skills to help them to escape down the treacherous rapids.

Kevin bacon was nominated for best supporting actor for this movie. And deservingly so. He was a great villain in this film.

Kevin Bacon's character still gives me chills even after so many years.
This is Kevin Bacons best role he’s ever done. Hands down he nails it in this movie

When an actor portrays a character that you just hate and want him or her dead, they’re doing a great job!!!! Kevin Bacon nailed his role!

Never seen this movie, but one lesson here is that bad and insane guys don't believe in fairness. To them, "fairness" means getting what THEY want. So, in a fight like this, when you get them down, you keep stomping them until they can't harm you anymore, until they are out. You don't give them a chance to come up and get you again, especially after they have attacked you first.

Kevin’s character would have easily turned the tables if Tom stomped him. He was a criminal in this movie, so he had more of the fighting experience. Not to mention the other guy could have stepped in and decked Tom. I can see why you would try to keep him down, but the end results woul be the same either way. Tom was not a fighter.
Wade turned out to be a cruel cold mobster

Agreed! Simple yet so effective and suspenseful. Great scenery as well. I used to live in Colorado not far from where this was filmed actually.

Me too!! 😆😆😆 Excellent realism on both actor's parts. vicious, loaded punch haha. Love watching and listening to that p-ssy arrogant dad getting his ass handed to him one of the best parts of the movie. Amazing beat down!

What surprised me how when Tom admit they want to leave them . How Roarke wasnt protesting even in the boat . He wasnt like no lets stay with them
