I don know. Isnt stress also a sign of not knowing everything (so we need to be aware of things that might happen or can happen if we do x/y wrong)? I guess stress is a part of us, because we are limited (brain/knowledge wise) and we can easily come in situations where we we overwhelmed by things/"facts"/thoughts. ...stress is a big part because theres so much unknown, and unknown kinda creates sress, doesnt it? But id say in those situations we are not at peace or ourselves which is what you are saing?

  • @dwried

@@heni63 Stress is a self imposed value we put on things, so that isn't who you are. Peace may not be the most articulate way to describe who you are though. If you have pain somewhere in your body, it's hardly peaceful, but definitely part of you. It's a journey of self realization of what in your life "is" actually part of you and important. Peace is great, but might not come at first. Sometimes coming to terms with who you are comes in waves of awareness. This is what I've come to believe after a fair share of awareness meditation. Blessed travels on your journey to enlightenment.

This man spoke very wisely, for those who don't know. He's referring to ego without saying it. He is aware that he is using a certain identity or ego in these videos but outside of the ego's use, as a tool, he is potential itself, not using an identity at all. Letting the ego go completely or at least that's what's to be practiced.

@@Tasorius In our "reality" as a society the whole game of getting a job do this and that, yes I agree you can not get rid/let go of ego. The ego in this game is a vehicle/tool that is needed. But if you were to go to a monastery or isolate yourself in some way where you didn't need to depend on the ego as much, I think maybe it could be possible or to the very least, you'd have more moments of not really having one.

@@luke7507 I may not understand what you mean when you say "ego", but the word means "I" so to me you seem to be saying that we should get rid of the self, as if it's a bad thing, and as if that makes us free in any way. So it sounds insane to me. As for the job game and capitalism, I agree that those things are bad. Especially when you work more than you live...

  • @luke7507

@@Tasorius Sorry I probably should have clarified. I don't know the general definition for ego. To me ego is the character you are, it's what's typing this, all my desires and fears. I don't mean to make it sound bad if I did. It's a tool. I believe "self" is an illusion because when you are truly in the moment you are connected to everything, you are everything. You're not separate, self implies individuality to me and I know in physical form it seems that way but on a molecular level it's not and it can be experienced as such. Just my perception from my experience.

This is a very dangerous idea. If you see limitless potential in yourself, you are not bound to the certain ways of life you grew into through hard work. It is both liberating and confusing. You invite chaos. Even if you know that something will not be the best for you, you still push on and try it. That's living life. I never regreted anything I have done. Most of the sadness came from false expectation for my character from other people and my attachment to those ideas. Of what you should be. Yet, it is like going through a dark cave. Somedays you find the exit, sometimes you are lost there for a long while. Neverthless, you will have to wander those dark caves from time to time. It's our nature.

One cannot invite chaos if there is orderliness within, which does not negate the freedom of will to perceive & believe in infinite possibilities. One's intrinsic orderliness would then extrapolate probabilities for the potential-to-realized... point is its something born from within through personal refinement, rather than some mirage one has tangled oneself in based on extrinsic factors or appropriated beliefs, values, etc.

Are you "INDIVIDUALITY" or is "INDIVIDUALITY" your purpose in life. Master Shi Heng Yi also stated that he knows his purpose. He added that at times he wanted to divert form it due to pain and durace, but he stuck with it. Bruce Lee has a rather inspiring quote: "An extraordiany man is an ordinary man with laser-like focus." I got another example of it by seeing the movie Rocky and reading a book by Joyce Carol Oats called "Unboxing"... Perhaps your answer may have to do with what I have mentioned. Cheers!

This really says a lot that people intuitively know but fail to comprehend. That is why separation of the body from nature not only destroys you but everything around you. No matter your societal standards or accomplishments, it is artificial. Who you are is the real you not the image others see you as. This is why people are so obsessed over something they want to be instead of who they should be

The self is like a blank piece of paper. Anything, and everything that we can do, or is generated by the mind including the idea of the paper is just a drawing on the paper and not the self. It is as simple as that.

For everything I think I am, it is weighednot by what I really am, it is even now measured by what OTHERS think I am. In this state, I am never myself, nor what others perceive. I am trapped between reality, and the place that everyone "THINKS" is reality. Even the MASTERS reside here, seeing other POSSIBILITIES. To be MYSELF, may reqiure that I rely less on others, and their perceptions of Me than my willingness to accept myself. Sometimes it's true.....being GREEN isn't easy

It is not that we have been "Given" a "Divine Spirit", it is that we each are a part of or an aspect of THE Divine Spirit (The All and The Everything - Consciousness) and we as an aspect or part of the Divine Spirit presently occupy or are embodied within the Human Form. A good video though. ✌Namaste.

the self is actually always changing, sometimes we are able to be our best self, sometimes we are not, we are also affected by circumstances and other people. some people bring the best out of us, some bring the worst out of us. i had an old friend who had this affect on me, literally whenever i would interact with him, i would be at my worst

What you are explaining is what he is saying you need to put aside to find your true nature. You can choose to be unaffected when you have a deep understanding of who you really are, before all the titles, and this gives you the ability to be the master instead of allowing others to control your emotions/how you feel.

Openness is quite possibly the greatest virtue. For example: There could be an archery range next to your street on the left side. If you go there maybe you will become the greatest archer of all time. But you will never see it even exists if you always go right. The same can be applied when having conflict with other people. Always embrace empathy. Maybe they can not understand your point of view because they have never seen outside of their small sphere of attention. Or maybe it´s you who has never expanded his/her vision. Always embrace new. Go to another street when walking your dog every day. There could be something awesome just a street away from your mundane routine. Break it.

If you enjoy topics about mastery and masculinity, I invite you to explore the videos on the Mastery Order Channel. Challenge yourself with some ideas about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would respect and look up to. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own thoughts so that others can benefit from them as well. All the best to you!

“Behold, Thou desireth Truth in the inward being so teach me wisdom in my secret heart” Ps. 51:6 I think the most difficult thing about being human in the Western world is to live a genuine life as a genuine person. We are conditioned by our culture to put on so many fronts and disguises in order to operate in our artificial environment that we end up losing sight of our real persons. Os Guinness said, “What’s done us in is captivity to the distortions of our advanced modern age.”
