there are some other characters from The Disney Afternoon you should do dude. There's Bonkers D. Bobcat, a character who was originally from a 1992 CBS cartoon called Raw Toonage and then had his own Disney Afternoon cartoon, but after the show was canceled in 1993, no one really cared about him anymore. and there's also Pete's wife Peg and his daughter Pistol, who were never seen again after Goof Troop was canceled.

Reason tons of people think pip is lost because I think episode 201 never aired after it's original airing, mean tons of people didn't see his death

I thought it was funny how you explained the plot of the Pip episode like Great Expectations just doesn't exist, and that South Park came up with that plot.
Another suggestion (besides Casey from Pokemon) is Enrique from Dragon Tales. He only appeared in Season 3, he was an immigrant from Colombia. He would sometimes reminisce about his heritage around Emmy and Max and taught Spanish to the target audience and to the dragons Cassie, Ord, Zak And Wheezie. He last appeared in 2005 and then Dragon Tales stopped making episodes

If you wanna talk about lost pokemon characters Tracey is really lost like he was made to be Brock's replacement in the orange islands arc because the animes director thought Brock would be seen as racist in the west but then nobody complained about Brock so now Tracey just kinda hangs around at oaks lab. I don't think a Roger Rabbit prequel/sequel would work, or at least it would lack what made the first one great. It was incredibly innovative at the time, and Richard Williams deserves as much of the credit as Robert Zemeckis does. It took what Disney and WB did back in the 60s, like with Mary Poppins and Anchors Away, and cranked it to 11, but when every other movie these days is multiverse or a live action/animated hybrid, it loses something. And it wouldn't be animated the same anyway, there was something very special about hand-drawn cel characters living in our reality. The recent Tom and Jerry tried and failed, and dont get me started on Space Jam 2.

They’d just do what they did with the recent Chip and Dale movie and use cel-shaded 3D models instead of act hand-drawn animation. They wouldn’t even need cel animation, just do it on a computer. I’ve seen a plot synopsis of the prequel and I think it’d be cute to see Roger and Jessica meet and fall in love. But I’d also want the film to be faithful to the original style of actual 2D animation.

I’d would like give a suggestion for the next lost characters video which would be Princess Sally Acorn and The Freedom Fighters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They have been in the Saturday morning cartoon and Archie comics but after that, they were never apart of the main sonic canon or appear in any sonic media ever again.
@junkiesama5325
Жыл бұрын
Yes!! It's really sad that the Archie comic exclusive characters will most likely never be seen again in an official way 😔 . Even more sad is the scandal surrounding the Archie comics and the Ken Penders situation that I believe led to all those characters being erased from existence. I watched SatAM when I was little, and read a decent chunk of the Archie comics back in the day, and I always wanted those characters to appear in Sonic's video games. The new IDW comics are awesome, and they feel more canon to the Sonic games, but I will forever miss Sally, Bunnie, Rotor, Antoine, and the other Archie comic characters.

The fact that the freedom fighters stuck around as long as they have is nothing short of a miracle as characters from the tv and film side of the franchise like Chris thorndike, scratch and grounder(granted these 2 were based on already existing stage enemies) or sonics siblings from underground were largely discarded after thier respective shows ended but the freedom fighters managed to stay relevant for 25 years and even survived the super genesis wave that purged everything penders from the comic. I think going forward sega will be more consistent with the lore(if frontiers is anything to go by sticks from boom may be brought into the main canon even if its just to say she exists or shes just used as a roster slot filler in the next mario and sonic Olympic or kart racer title) but sonic has a huge rabbit hole of lost characters that an entire video could be made on just ones from the games.
Something cool about fido dido is that hes still in some 7up bottles in mexico (last time i checked) and it was pretty cool not knowing he was also in the us
TBH Eddie Could Also Be Considered A Lost Character. In The Comics He Was Completely Replaced By Another Detective Character, Along With Having Little To No Appearances In Merchandise

That episode about Pip is a parody of the book "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. Pip's name comes from the main character in the book.
My sweet boy. Pip is literally from the book Great Expectations. The episode you described is literally Southpark doing a short version of the book Great Expectations.
I unironically enjoyed Angela Anaconda as a kid. I didn't even know it was in the Digimon movie at the time, because the movie was relatively inaccessible in my country until it came out on VHS and I wouldn't mind the Angela Anaconda segment growing up.
I have a suggestion. Profily from the web series Battle For Dream Island Basically the creators put them in as a joke, their gimmick was that they were in the show all along but nobody noticed them. They officially appeared in episode 26 which lead to an inside joke among the fanbase where people would edit them into older episodes to play along with the “Here all along” joke. I think Profily perfectly fits the subject of Lost Characters.

I have a character that’s lost, mimic. Mimic was from My Singing Monsters and would be used as a monster to Record things to improve the song or something. It was replaced with the “recording studio” structure. After the devs implemented that, they didn’t feel the need to include Mimic. The Mimic is quite popular across the msm community, so much so that the developers mention it in one their official KZread channel live streams. The fans of My Singing Monsters are hoping that Mimic will soon be in the game.
Another suggestion about lost characters is the Baker from Sesame Street, not to be confused with the Swedish Chef from The Muppets. Let me explain. There were short films made to teach children about numbers, more specifically 1 through 10 that would play in between episodes during the early seasons of Sesame Street. These were called Numerosity films. One of these was a baker who would carry food down a flight of stairs, except he would drop the food and fall down that aforementioned flight of stairs. The baker was played by Alex Stevens who was a stunt performer also known for acting in the movie "Dark Shadows". Since these baker shorts were deemed too morbid and violent by kids and parents alike, so these short films stopped being played in between episodes.
@KasumiKenshirou
Жыл бұрын
I think he was referenced several years ago in Family Guy. Don Music, who would bash his head on his piano keys in frustration, was banned from Sesame Street because kids were copying him. And Roosevelt Franklin is another character that was removed from Sesame Street.
Roger Rabbit creator Gary K. Wolf recently made a novel centered on Jessica. I never read it because it sounded weird. It takes place in modern times but is Jessica's origin story, where she wasn't originally a Toon but a regular woman. Wolf also pitched a sequel idea to Disney about a decade ago called "The Stooge", which would've been a buddy comedy starring Roger Rabbit and Mickey Mouse. So there are at least two scripts or pitches out there. The Roger Rabbit novels are weird. In the first Roger dies really early on. Toons can make temporary copies of themselves that they use as their stunt doubles. Roger is shot with a gun after he's created one of these copies, and it is this copy that hires Eddie Valiant. Also, the characters are newspaper comic strip characters, and when they talk word balloons come out of their mouths. Although the novels are set after the movie rather than the original novel, the Toons still retain the word balloon thing for some reason.

A lot of the McDonald Land characters discussed in previous videos were before my time, but I fondly remember the Burger King Kids Club. BK in general was SO much better in the '90s and early 2000s.
I see soo many animation vids about people hating Angela anaconda and it kinda blows my mind, cuz i remember me and my friends VIVIDLY enjoying the show. It was kind of a super weird version of watching recess mixed with zoey 101, but in a southpark like art style. I even remembered being super hyped when i saw the digimon movie and i saw the angela anaconda short when they were in line to watch the movie. I guess my brain kinda just clicked like “OMG ONE OF THE SHOWS I WATCH IS GOING TO GO WATCH THE MOVIE TOO” kinda like that kenan and kel reference in the good burger movie😅. But yea i loved the show
Here is a character IDK if it counts though but screw it. Female Anasui from Jojo Bizarre Adventure if that doesn't count then Anne from the same series.
also, fun fact, one of the creators of fido dido also made pepper ann
I love lost characters! Keep ‘em coming
While I don't dislike the character of Pip by any means, he's very much an early South Park character. Something the creators would leave behind when the tone of the show went from wacky adult cartoon to the more deep, social commentary focused series it became. Butters may serve the same purpose, but they managed to make him a layered character in time. I just don't see an alternate timeline where they do that for Pip. Anyway, I agree completely about Roger Rabbit. While I would like to see more of the characters, I know there's no satisfying sequel. They made a movie that was a tough act to follow, and all I could see working is outside expanded media. Bring him back in comic book form, or at least let someone buy up the rights to reissue the original Disney Comics Roger Rabbit series in graphic novel or hardbound collector's book.
This is more of lost media in general but 2 suggestions i have are not talked about much. And by that, I mean not at all A LOT of kids in the US have had to read The Canterbury Tales & Beowulf in school before. What's odd is that a lot don't realize both books are partially lost and odds are will stay that way. Beowulf was found by sheer luck & we still do not know how it ends who wrote wrote it or what the actual title is Canterbury Tales is strange too. Group of villagers to to Canterbury and while going they have a contest of who can tell the best story, each person tells 2: one going and 1 returning. Winner gets several bushels of grain or such. Well, we don't even have enough for the first trip. Only like 12 stories are known because the author passed away before finishing it It's super rare to see lost literature be discussed but these 2 I always found the most interesting

They referenced Doctor Who before with Funnybot being a Dalek. Another suggestion from South Park is Gregory his one and only appearance was in South Park bigger longer and uncut he was Stan’s enemy because he thought Gregory was trying to steel Wendy from him after the movie he was never seen again
Pip was actually named after the main character of a Charles Dickens novel titled, "Great Expectations" and Season 4, Episode 14 was a retelling of said novel... in a very South Park way LOL! You didn't mention it in the video, so I wasn't sure if you were aware.

You could probably include the entirety of raymans cast as the only real consistent characters are rayman himself, the teensies and globox(the later two didn't show up until rayman 2). Rayman 1 in particular had the electoons as the source powering the glade of dreams but then in rayman 2 going forward the lums replaced the electoons but then later rayman origins brought back the electoons and now they coexist with the lums. Rayman has some very weird lore.

I would like to give a pretty obscure suggestion: Mercy the Buzzard from Firefly FunHouse. When WWE brought the promos back for Bray Wyatt’s feud with LA Knight, he was the only main puppet not to make an appearance. Now, there has been a humanoid version of him at ringside a few times since Bray has returned, including when Bray returned at the end of Extreme Rules, but there is no reason to believe that they are the same character. Now, if you’d like something even more obscure, there’s also a puppet of Vince McMahon wearing devil horns. It even appeared in a cliffhanger once, but that cliffhanger was never resolved, and Devil Vince has only had a few sporadic appearances since then, and, like Mercy, he did not appear when they brought the promos back.
