Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was itself a downgrade. 90s animation was all about bringing teens and adults into cartoons and animation history, like it's OK to be 26 and like Mickey Mouse, and by the 2000s, they reversed all that and made Mickey into a preschool show all over again.

That was a toy and clothing line for the longest time; this would have been far more appropriate. It's OK to like Donald Duck as an adult but it's still not OK to like Barney or Dora as a non-nostalgic adult. Donald's meant for everybody, but Barney and Dora are the ones meant exclusively for preschoolers.

Funnily enough the old King Neptune design made a reappearance in season 6, which was after the redesign was made (which to my knowledge only appeared in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie from 2004 movie, the only good SpongeBob movie), so I think it’s safe to say these are two different characters. I think everyone can all agree that SpongeBob seasons 1-3 and the 1st movie will always be GOATED (since the show was intended to only last that long before Nick wanted to milk SpongeBob for all its worth)

One of the downgrades IMO has to be Shantae's Risky Revolution illustration design. She was supposed to be in the classic Mr. Bozon style, but instead, she looks like a Cocomelon character, and this doesn't just affect cover art and promo art, but also portraits and menu aesthetics! Thankfully, the in-game pixel sprite still keeps the classic Mr. Bozon charm, since they kept most art assets from the 2002-04 era intact. The classic Mr. Bozon design had charm, passion, personality and soul, but the modern Risky Revolution illustration design? Just screams Cocomelon to me

They also did it in their music department. First, it was Warner Brothers Records, and now it's just Warner Records, with the logo being a circle with a flattened bottom instead of the shield.

Ironically the modern Fanta logo is actually an old logo. But stil a downgrade since they went back to that level.

What blows my mind is people saying the new Avatar is good. It's literally just Shyamalan's Avatar with nicer costumes.

Cheetohs changed many years ago and it still pisses me off that he went from a tall character that speaks English to a short character with a Australian accent. And I never will get over disney rebranding their channels three times. They got rid of toon disney. could have made it a separate channel but nope they wanted to make room for disney xd.
