This video does make me understand more Turbo’s reasons to do what he did, but it’s still not enough to make me forgive him. He ended up being the ruler in Sugar Rush and co-exist with the game, but all at poor Vanellope’s expenses. This poor kid was stripped of her title, her home, and was also stuck in the game for literal years. But you did highlight a lot of details that I never even considered tbh

If you want to defend yourself from that kind of behavior, it is going to take a little more than “the Devs made me do it!”.

my dad bought this movie on DVD for me when it came out. the disc has lived in our RV and every single time we go on vacation, to this day, i watch this movie. one of my favorite movies of all time.

Honestly, he could've programmed himself to be a racer, perhaps a DLC character, a hidden one that shows up in races and can only appear if he wins. He could have the best stats in the game, and not try to delete Vanelope

Another fun detail, when King Candy asked Ralph if he was going Turbo. He got super defensive and was ready to fight. Seems a little silly at first glance, but it's an interesting moment.

Currently he is the BEST main Disney antagonist in my opinion.

I think your point about the programmers making Turbo that way is completely incorrect. By that logic the movie doesn't happen because Ralph's entire thing would be "Unga bunga! Break building!" and that would be that. As the famous scene notes, he is a bad guy, but not a BAD guy. Turbo was in a racing game. The objective is to come in first, but that doesn't always happen. Not every kid who plays is going to win, especially in an arcade. As such, Turbo should know how to handle taking 2nd, or 3rd, or last. But he couldn't handle that, and tried to steal or sabotage is competition. I don't think it was out of desperation. I think he was the hero of his game, the good guy. But he wasn't a GOOD guy.

I understand what you were going for, but there were quite a lot of things Turbo could have done to both still be a famous figure. Including becoming an internet legend. Given what Turbo had done to the other racing game, he could just have hung around. Always zooming just out of reach, hopping game to game, and going “Turbo-tastic!”. There is no doubt that one day, he could have a remake of his game purely because of someone’s memories about some weird character that always appeared in all the arcade games they played where this weird dude in a racing kart would appear and say “Turbo-tastic!”.

In the movie it shows that Penelope was a princess the ruler of the game but then turbo came in and destroyed her code to make himself his own code to become king whipping everyone’s memory’s of even remembering Penelope the princess. Also like you said changes can change there code to their personality changing and in the end of the movie Penelope has changed her code because she doesn’t act like a princess anymore so yeah also she took to for granted so that makes sense

Vowel sounds can be long or short. Long vowels can be made with a single letter or a digraph (two letters making one sound). The sound of a in hat is a short vowel sound. The sound of ai in rain is a long vowel sound. Words have meaning and tapper and taper are very different. Although a tap does taper.
