@@masekiibo I know that, but isn't it a little weird that one of the major playable characters is seemingly an almost direct reference to such a violent horror movie? I mean, yes, The Sims 2 (which released in 2004) had the Social Bunny NPC, which was also a reference to Donnie Darko, but the Social Bunny was basically just a hallucination caused by lack of social interaction, and was definitely far from the creepiest thing that game had to offer.

Listing the references, I see: - Upside-down pyramid from Super Mario Odyssey - Bouncy house from that one Penguins of Madagascar scene - Gerudo Town and the Accompanying Shrine - PVZ Cactus - I think that’s just a corpse in the background. Or, on second thought, perhaps it’s the rest of the cow. - Cow Skull. Standard desert fare. Possibly a Moblin skull? (Reminds me of an episode of Phineas and Ferb where Doof points out how odd it is that deserts have so many cow skulls but never the rest of the skeleton. Likely not a reference to that random scene though.)

This is the first time a game tie-in show actually has my interest in a way. Like the Subway Surfers cartoon looks pretty nice and the worldbuilding is bizarre but neat and actually kinda makes sense.

If I had a nickel for anytime a TV show based on a mobile game was cancelled on a cliffhanger, I have two which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice

Not going to lie the Subway Surfers web series mostly left us in the dust basically it gave us these lore things like it was doing to a show about kids going things to more of a lore story based so yeah kind of disappointed that no news about it, it felt like it would continue giving us more of it but we just have to wait or not they probably secretly canceled it

In their 10th Anniversary video they announced that they actually planned 7 seasons of 20 minute long episodes worth of the series but it is all on hold until they can fully plan the series and increase the size of their production team

You should make a video about the Old Navy campaign, where they made a whole backstory & lore for each and every one of their mannequins.

Subway is my favorite resturant. Also, as an Apple Arcade member, I just need to say- Subway Surfers Tag has an unbeatable progression system, since the game is endless, and you have to “win” to get to another level- which is impossible.

This is awesome! I love the Subway Surfers franchise so much, I wish that they had continued the animated web series, but they didn't and I'm so sad that they didn't! I had thought that they did for a while while I was watching it, I was watching the Season 1 episodes, but I'm just really bummed out that they didn't get to continue it and after I watched the season 1 finale, I needed more and I was waiting and waiting and waiting, and nothing ever came of it, nothing ever came to be! I had given up hope, and I have the notion that season 2 is now dead! Thanks for nothing, Kiloo! I loved the animated series and I really hope to see more of it one day! If Kiloo gives the creators a chance to continue it, and then they could add more characters from the game into the storyline, like the goth girl that you can play as in the game into the series, because I really like her, she's really fast in game! And I would've loved to see what they do with her and how they introduce her in the show! That'd be pretty sweet! But for now, I guess we'll just be stuck waiting for it to happen until then!

I want to know more about the other characters. Overall great video & love your lore deep dives.

You know, despite never playing Subway Surfers, and knowing it simply as a mobile game, after seeing that animated series, I’ve somehow managed to come to care about these kids, and I’m actually interested and invested to see a continuation of their story! The animation and character designs also looked surprisingly really good for a show like that! Thank you bringing this lore to our attention choopo! I can’t wait to see more to come from my childhood! Also, the Guard is a hero.

as someone who returned to subway surfers after a long break and forgot that underwater got REreleased a couple days ago, when i saw you mention the underwater update with the line "and started to colonize the ocean" and when i saw the upload date, i lost my mind

You see a strange lump in the sand and you just know it'll slowly reveal some strange thing at the end Also 9:14 one of the names crossed out is "Don K. Kong"... why is there a Donkey Kong reference hidden in the Subway Surfers show!?
