Honestly, it would be Amazing if Nintendo made a series like this for every 3D Zelda game, despite some of the development team probably not being there anymore, I would love to get more backstory on my favorite game series of all time.

+AwesomeFaceProd Actually they already made one thats a lot more detailed than this. Its called "Iwata asks". Only thing its not a video series, so you actually have to read.

+Hermii The "Iwata Asks" were incredible, always learning so much about what was going on in the kitchen. I think it'd be a good idea to make a new generation of this program, shaped for KZread which is the current leading media format. It'd be a good addition to Nintendo Minute and Nintendo Direct 🙂 This is informative and participates in the communication campaign towards several kinds of gamers, so that's just perfect ☺️
Thanks to the developers for their hard work!
Funny how it seems everyone likes "realistic" art styles in Zelda. I personally don't mind Wind Waker's graphics at all and never held them against the game. I also feel Skyward Sword and Zelda U have found a good medium-ground between the two.
@clickycal
8 жыл бұрын
+SpotterX4 I like wind waker, but not really skyward sword's style, it just looked weird to me. Zelda U looks like what skyward sword should have been though with having a realistic style in layout, but still also celdshade.

I like both but I think I prefer the more realistic art styles. Well not like super realistic. Twilight Princess's art style still very stylized compared to something like Dragon Age. Funny though, I never had the hate for Wind Waker's art style because it was my first Zelda game. I didn't have any standard for what Zelda should even look like.

I don't mind it but I don't want another realistic Zelda. let Zelda be Zelda it doesn't need to be the witcher
I always love these tidbits of information during development, it's always so cool to hear some things got created and what helped, etc.
I can't believe Twilight Princess is going to be 10, I was in High School when it first came out. E3 04 is still one of the best E3's.
I'm so excited for this. Twilight Princess is one of my favorite games ever and I can't wait to replay it.

+Yo-Yo-Yo Yoshi I would agree normally, but in this case, it's a remake, which means they have to make the purchase worth it, they have to give us reasons to buy this game again. And what's been remade is barely noticeable.

+Pedro Juan Wind Waker's graphical jump was really only more noticeable because 1. the resolution difference was larger and 2. the added bloom in WWHD made things look prettier, even if they didn't actually change anything.

man, there's nothing quite like zelda
Only problem with this HD release is the fact that the realistic graphics they were going for in these interviews simply haven't aged well. IMO instead of upping the resolution they really should have put the time in to put in a new coat of paint, similar to wind waker, and Oot/MM. It still looks great, don't get me wrong. But It's kind of hard justifying a legit reason to purchase this $50 title when the Wii version can be played on the Wii U at a much cheaper cost without a really big jump in graphical quality.

+Grample Gust What do you mean by new coat of paint? Almost every texture in the game has been redone, not upscaled ">_> I get what you mean if you were talking about them remaking the game like OoT 3D and MM 3D but that just takes way too much work. You forget the main team is still currently working on Zelda U. This HD remaster was outsourced by another team. So there is only so much that can be done in such a short time.
As the first Zelda game I have ever played, Twilight Princess will always have a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved it. I have yet to play the classics/fan favorites, but I plan to in the near future. Can't wait for Zelda U as well.

I think as consumers, we tend to underestimate how much effort and stress goes into making games such as these. Kyogoku mentions it. They take time out of their own personal lives, working overtime and under short time constraints to make the game as great as they can make it. I have to give props to that. The "tohoho" part that Aonuma mentioned was funny too. That sounds like computer science in a nutshell. You program, then find errors, then debug, then find more errors, then debug, and repeat a bunch of times.

Twilight Princess had amazing soundtrack, cant wait to play the game again and listen to it
I remember really getting excited watching that Twilight Princess reveal trailer. And then I remember almost none of that content making it into the actual shipping product.
Thank you for doing a HD version of my favourite Zelda really appreciate it love you Nintendo
Awesome, looks fantastic in HD can't wait for March, its been 10 years since I have played it... its time!!!
You did a wonderful job on this game and I can't wait to play it. Great job.
My favorite thing about these Nintendo videos is that the comments can basically be boiled down to 3 things. "ZELDA WII U???" "Nintendo is just going for the easy cash grab. Where's my new Metroid?" and my personal favorite, "It's not worth my money. It's not an improvement like *insert another Zelda game here* so it shouldn't be full price." Good news, my dudes: You don't have to buy it if you don't want to! It's totally fine, I promise, no one is going to yell at you.
Some good insight into the development, these guys really put a lot of heart into this game.
This is my favorite game of all time and it is really cool to see how development went on this game! Great work Nintendo!
Thanks Nintendo team for your hard work! Looking forward to re-experiencing Twilight Princess.
My favorite series of all time, my favorite game being put in HD, AND it's being released on my birthday! Thank you daddy!
I was going through a rough time in my life when this game came out and it was the last hope I had left. Needless to say it got me through. I encourage everyone to play this game. Thank you Nintendo, I love you with all of my heart.

I prefe Skyward Sword, but I am finally gonna finish this game yes!!
Wow this brought tears to my eyes, was not expecting that. It's sad how rare it is that the developers get to reflect, made this video very special. There are very, very few men in this world that I respect more than Eiji Aonuma. I made my heart soar hearing how much the standing ovation meant to them, they certainly deserve it.
Ahh nostalgia, I love this.
Great video, I'm really looking forward for the next episodes. Hope Nintendo keeps doing this type of content.
Thank you all for The best game ever.
Yeah, I really did like the details and the great degree of enemy variety. That and the epic scale they discussed-very apparent in areas like Lake Hylia and Snowpeak-really built it into my favorite Zelda world.
Awesome segment! I will be waiting eagerly for the next installments! I love hearing from the original development team!
This video is so interesting. It's fun to hear stories from developers behind the making of Twilight Princess
This was a really wonderful peak into the development process of creating Twilight Princess! Usually 'behind the scenes' footage shows us how absolutely great everything was and how well everything went, while that wasn't the actual case! In the interview people spoke openly about the more difficult aspects that were present during the process of creating the game. Little to no time, expectations that had to be met, different opinions on keyfeatures, yet at the end the team at Kyoto created the single most atmospheric and most memorable Legend of Zelda game as of this day!!
This is exactly the kind of content I want to se more of, Nintendo! Video interviews with developers sharing their stories (and their struggles) while developing games. This is like Iwata Asks but in video format and even though Iwata Asks were fantastic and really well done, they don't have the impact as a video interview such as this. Hope this trend continues. Huge props, Nintendo :D
I remember getting the Wii on release night and playing Twilight Princess around Christmas. It more gritty and just had wonderful music, environments, and just this really exciting, adventurous aura to it. I cannot wait to pick up the HD version.
I love this. Absolutely give us more!
This is great content ! I can't wait for the next installment in the series.
I really hope Nintendo continues this series. An excellent way to continue the spirit and tradition of Iwata Asks.
Really makes you appreciate their work. Thank you :3
Wow! The first words to come to my mind are Thank you Nintendo for all the hard work you do for these amazing games! I cannot wait for this game!
These are great Nintendo! Please make more.
thank you for sharing this
Looking at the gameplay starting at 2:42, you really get to see just how much better it looks. Looked so good from those little stills of gameplay. Am I the only one who thinks this way?
Thank you Nintendo game developers for The Legend of Zelda series.
Awesome video; thank you. Can't wait for March 4th.
its cool to see what it was like developing this masterpiece
This video filled me with determination.

I think it was because it's one of the easiest Zeldas, and the big overworld feels empty, just with a few things to do. But its still an amazing game.
@l3rvn0

+Yan Yam It's because the essence of Zelda is in the exploration aspect, and Zelda TP is extremely linear with a empty overworld. Play one of the older titles like ALTTP and compare.
@Random1567
8 жыл бұрын
+l3rvn0 Actually, TP has a lot of things to do in the overworld. But compared to the size of the overworld, it looks smaller in comparison. TP isn't short on side content. Not in the least. The overworld is just larger than it needed to be.

Very interesting video. I hope you guys do more of this stuff. I love hearing from the developers.
Can't wait to play this game since I missed out Wii and GC. I preorder this game in a heartbeat after it was announced. Now only need to play skyward sword to complete every TLoZ game available. And yea... Come to me Wolf Link Amiibo ^^
Twilight Princess was everything I wanted in a Zelda game. Grown up link, realistic art style, horse back combat, etc. One thing I don't understand, if you see how crazy grown men had acted towards TP back in the reveal in 2005, why didn't you continue to make more in realistic art style? I'm still getting the new Zelda for Wii u, but come on, enough with the Cartoon graphics.
@Killerkarpfen1990
8 жыл бұрын
+sameold23 Because Twilight Princess is the most flawed 3D Zelda, at least in my eyes. Even though Skyward Sword did things wrong, it does a lot more right unlike TP. For many people TP felt like a desperate attempt of reinventing Ocarina of Time and therefore it felt like a big: been there, done that. There is just nothing about TP that stands out or hasn't been done better in a different Zelda game. It was a game fans asked for, but fans always ask for things they already know. Just listen to the "we wanted to deliver" talk in the beginning. They never wanted to make this game, but the reactions basically forced them to do it thus resulting in a game which never came from heart and therefore lacks in many ways. I guess that's why.
@coolertuep
8 жыл бұрын
+sameold23 i like cartoony zelda more, there are already enough realistic looking games. zelda could graphically never compete against something like witcher 3, so cartoony artstyle is alright
I love this.
My favourite game series
Can't wait to play this for the first time.
Nice videos, and i like this campaign for Twilight Princess HD, sadly i have no plans on buying it but thanks to this i want to "100%" the game on the Wii, i missed a lot of stuff.
So excited for HD! I love Twilight Princess. There is no game I like better.
I'm happy the way the game came out. I loved that I saw a realistic Link other than Smash Bros. Melee Ocarina of Time version in those days.
I would love to see more content like this Nintendo! :)
Ooh, Yellow subtitles~♥ Glorious!
I love developer diaries. More of these please.
YES NINTENDO ! This is the kind of content I want to see more on your channel. Also, great decision to have this video subtitled and not voiced over. :)
Really nice to see something like this in the absence of Iwata Asks!
my favorite zelda game ♥
Picked the game up yesterday. I've never gotten far in the game, so hoping this is my opportunity to complete the game.
It's so cool how Eiji is inspired by our wonderful feedback of The Legend of Zelda series. Unlike any other developer, they're the ones who listens to praises and criticisms, and approves upon the other previous Zelda titles. Most developers don't do that because they assume what we want out in the market, and that's not good. I guess you could say that the team behind Zelda are like indie devs, who listens to what fans want instead of beating their own drum.
Great to hear from the developers! :3 The "sob-story" bit was especially funny. :D
I want these sort of videos for all nintendo games
My second favorite Zelda game of all time.
I got as far as the sky dungeon in the wii version and I've been want to play this again, so the HD version is a perfect excuse!

I'm so excited for this game, I'm gonna play the heck out of it (especially since I never really gave TP its fair shake originally). In addition to that comment, I also really really really need to hear some news of Zelda U.
Still my favorite Zelda game.
I truly DO hope that these guys don't find the venture of Twilight Princess as something of a bust. Its literally my 2nd favorite Zelda of all time, next to both Ocarina and Majora's Mask (both I put at 1st). Its really a tremendous game, so much fun, and so investing. Its the first Zelda I ever beat as well so that makes it really profound in my eyes. But it deserves to be there for just what it is, not solely on what I remember.
