First 1 I beat

The textures look nice and all, but I really wish they made everything look a lot less rigid. I know this used to be a GameCube game, but still, they could have did some work to polish up the models.

They can't do that. It would mess up the game's code. The animations were already done for the old models. If they were to change the polygon count, they would better remake the game. But they made it a remaster because: the game is very big (not like Majora's Mask and OoT, which are much smaller in size), the developer had the task to do it, a remake will cost much more money than a remaster and takes longer... I think we should be happy with what we get, because the big budget will never go on stunning remakes (at least in the case of some companies), but to new games, such as Smash 4 and Zelda U.

Interiors have seen a significant improvement to overall mesh quality. However, the engine is simply too old to take much more. With Wind Waker they were able to do a lot of fancy effects and lighting upgrades. But that's because of Wind Waker's style requiring comparatively little texture improvement and no mesh improvement, which freed up resources. Twilight Princess's dedication to a more realistic style means texture improvement are just significantly more important plus mesh improvements where resources allow. Personally, I think it's pretty solid work considering the age of the engine. This is a remaster, after all.

I want it on Switch... Breath of the wild is amazing and I have over 200 hours poured in it, but the Twilight Princess will always be my favourite, and having it portable would be just perfect. Please Nintendo port it on Switch!

I for one say this game looks "Bad" 1) No I'm not blind, I just see things you don't. Maybe? By today's standards the game's graphics look Aweful so is definitely not criminal to say it looks bad but I'll give this a pass on its looks because it's a remaster but what this game needed was a remake, but whatever this is a great game never the less. 2) Never needed one, but if wearing a glass meant this game got a graphics upgrade I'm down to wearing it until I've completed the game. 3) Yes I've watched most to all comparisons between the two versions of the game and I can say this version looks better. It's got better texture, higher resolution and modified lighting source. It definitely is better looking than the original. It still looks Bad.

And yes I understand that the wii u's hardware is severely lacking , I'm just saying that if this games only purpose is to look better, than it doesn't deserve my hard earned money.

+KobobMC this isn't a remake. The point of an HD Remaster is to up the resolution and change the textures around. They literally did all they had too, and also added new lighting and content. You're greedy if you're asking for more tbh

Idk what people were expecting, really... They made the game a whole lot less blurry, smoothed out many of the character models (strangely, though, Wolf Link still looks a bit rough), and added better lighting in some areas. Wind Waker HD was a REALLY nice treat, but that was a much easier game to fix as it was really unpolished to begin with. Not to mention how easy cel-shading is to work with.

All WWHD did was added bloom and upscale the textures with AI. TPHD just upped in the internal resolution and Grezzo made all new textures. They're more or less the same level of effort lol.

I got this game recently, and I already beat it two times! Twilight Princess is one of my favorite Zeldas of all times, and it look amazing in HD! The Nostalgia is killing me right now, Cant believe its been 10 years since I departed on this journey, as well as the other remakes, I love Nintendo's way of never forgetting their greatest games as well as bringing fresh, new experiences!

I’ve beaten this amazing game so many times and started when I was 8 years old. Best graphics of all the legend of zeldas and beautiful-couldn’t have been any better thank you nintendo for making this stunningly gorgeous game

Twilight Princess is one of my favorite Zelda games and I'm so happy to see it getting so much love a decade later.

Twilight princess always intrigued me, but playing it in standard definition was almost impossible. It was super overly contrasted and very blurry. Looking foreword to this remaster so I can finally play it properly.

My dream is that nintendo a little more attention to your fans here in Brazil and move to make their games subtitled in Portuguese. Use its products since 1995 love zelda and unfortunately I can not throw it in my own language.

DrJams Sony and Microsoft are very present in Brazil...

I can see why people are expressing disappointment at the graphics of this HD remaster not being as good as they wanted them to be, but I feel that I must point out that when *Sony* ported a good chunk of their most noteworthy PS2 exclusives to the PS3 as part of their "Classics HD" line, they *barely* looked any better than the original PS2 releases with the *only* major differences being the addition of native widescreen support on games that didn't already have it and a higher rendering resolution. So the fact that Nintendo was able to improve the visuals on a game originally designed for the GameCube (which was *significantly* more graphically powerful than the PS2 mind you) as much as they did on hardware that is only *slightly* more powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360 is actually quite an accomplishment.

oh the memories! this game is so amazing!

It's a crime that, this isn't on switch yet!

Please in nintendo switch 😢😢😢

Call me crazy, but this HD remake isn't worth it. Twilight Princess was on the GameCube, and the Wii. Now it's on the Wii U, but the Wii U can play Wii games. Seriously, there's ABSOLUTELY no point in this unless for the newer generation.

+Gamer Better controls, better gameplay (improved rupee management, less collecting of the tears, and a hard mode for those fans who felt twilight princess was too easy) , better graphics, and cost less than the gamecube version (which many view as the best version.)

I was honestly not hype for this remaster but now I'm actually super excited, to relive an awesome game i played throughout my middle school years plus new futures and stuff. Hype!

Thank you so very much for remaking the very first Zelda game i ever played! (im born 2002) and since i completed Twilight Princess i felt that i needed to play more, so i asked my mother if there was any more Zelda games out there (i was 4 years old back then) and she told me that she had a working Nintendo Entertainment System with the original Zelda! And boy was i excited! When the game booted up I recognized the start menu sound track directly and i got really hyped to play it! And it was awesome! Ever since i played Twilight Princess on my Wii, i've been willing to play every Zelda game out there! Thank you Nintendo, for making all these great games that has a special place in my heart! I will always choose you before any other video game company. I can't thank you enough for what you have made for every one of us!

Please port this to Switch 😭

I think TP HD only came to life because Zelda U got delayed.

+Smash Faceonkeyboard a different company was working on TP HD, not Nintendo.

Why does every new Zelda game get released RIGHT before a new console comes out? Majora's Mask was released right before GameCube. Twilight Princess - right before Wii. Skyward Sword - right before Wii U. And now the new one will be released right before NX. At least they're putting a lot of work into them.

Roger Allen it's now called the Nintendo switch.

This game is seriously the best LoZ game! Quite possibly one of the best games ever!

Ahhhhh This brings me back so many times 😀

I loved this game on the Wii and it will be great for new players but I'm a bit disappointed in the HD remake. There isn't really a reason to buy it while my old version works. I was hoping for a full remake like the Wind Waker HD got.

@Merchantrouge84 no it didn't. This has had more effort put into it but the low polygon models combined with the art style makes this game look worse

Got this at launch same with the original Wii. I loved this entry in the series.

I haven't played this game in years. Looking forward to it.
