Compare that to what execs in US get -about $30 for Activision CEO. The amount leaders get over the lowest paid is also a great factor in employee morale and sense of belonging.

how do you not get tired of it? the entirety of the game is shrines and korok seeds and stupid-simple fetch quests. it has no depth. the game never rewards you for exploring random places bc you always know what you'll find.. either a dumb weapon or one of those things. take a game like elden ring for comparison. you literally never know what you're gonna find... a boss? a new type of enemy? a new weapon with interesting skills? a new spell? a new skill that changes the way you play? an intricate character-driven story quest? environmental details that blow you away and tell a small piece of a the lore of the world? a cave? an entire new MAP underground? a castle? a village? a dungeon? so many possibilities that can change the way you're playing the game in unexpected ways. zelda is incredibly flat and predictable by comparison.

And I doubt we’ll ever have that experience again even if games like Tears of the kingdom will be more advanced. Botw completely reimagined how a Zelda game plays. The music, the weapon breaking mechanic, the graphics and most of all gameplay. Absolute genius all of it.

I mean think about it, if they worked out any bugs and kinks and turned it into a full exploratory game that's downloadable on the switch for like, $10, then they could make money off that. My favorite has always been Ocarina, but Breath is quickly becoming a contender. I’m nearly 40 and I feel like a kid and a teenager again. Each time I replayed Ocarina, I felt nostalgic for what it was like playing it for the first time. And now I’m sure I’ll feel the same way for Breath, so I’m enjoying it now because it won’t be the same ever again, once I know every secret and strategy. Well done guys.

Just want to put this out on the inter-webs.....A huge thank you to Nintendo and the developers of this game. This has far surpassed any expectations I had prior to starting. I'm 20 hours or so in the game thus far. Without making this post too long, let me just say this is the best video game experience I have ever had. I received the original NES after my first day of Kindergarten as long as I didn't cry (Mom trying to bribe me, she was the one crying...FYI).....today, I think I may actually cry at how good this game is and how this somehow reminds me of my childhood. So thank you Nintendo and thank you to the developers!!!

Far too many MM stages are terrible. Imagine getting a terrible Zelda dungeon...blergh

My favorite thing about BOTW that is commonly overlooked, is that combat is almost always an option. For a player like me who loves combat, i’m able to engage myself with as many enemies as i please. However, with a player like my mom who hates fighting, she’s able to avoid most enemies and focus on collecting items and exploring (which is her favorite part of the game). This game is truly beautiful and was clearly well thought-out and planned so that everyone, no matter age, race, or gender, can enjoy it in its entirety.

This convinced me that making a 2d Prototype of a game will be useful in the long run when making a 3D one. props for the massive effort.

Really? While it’s a cool idea it just seems like a massive waste of time, energy, and resources. An outline/written plan should work just as well. Though I’d love to be able to play that 2D version as a stand-alone game or as a bonus feature of the main game. Like how Dragon Quest 11 has a feature that lets u play the whole game in a 16 bit SNES style in addition to its modern 3D look.

What they made really was a masterpiece. I just watched the 2/17/21 Direct (Pyra and Mythra, Splatoon 3, and more baybeeee!) and this was in the suggested. No matter how many times I complete this game or even when I 100%'d Age of Calamity, I still feel a great connection to the world and the way they presented it. I'm sure that whatever they have planned for the sequel is going to be great, and if multiple delays can make the original as great as it is, I'm sure the sequel will be even better.
