My story is the same as any other. I am a sinner saved by the Grace of the Father given through his Son Jesus Christ. I am not worthy of the gift, but I am eternally thankful, and I try to abide within the will of the Father daily, with the help of the Holy Spirit. I do not go to church, because I am already residing within the body of Christ.

When the student is ready, the teacher will come. If this doesn't resonate with you, it's ok, don't follow it if you have fear about it. But the course has helped me understand the Bible far better now.

@AntG72 I study ACIM...love it immensely. Has changed my life. The Bible, just like the Course was written by man. What i mean by that is the bible can also be said to be channeled. Some "human" put pen to paper. And lots of these men were murderers and had political agendas, omitted certain books, etc. Now, i do believe the Bible is a very high book as is the Course. But no One book can consummate the Wisdom of GOD. No ONE Group can. Jesus was not Christian. His message was simply Love.

@333grace What I DO believe is that there is much about Jesus's teaching that have been omitted and lost from the Bible on the basis of political gain. We assume with stubborn certainty that we know what he means. Jesus teachings are so powerful you have to live it in order to realize the meaning in the words. If not you spend your time quoting the words, while killing others "in his name".

I vote for Marianne Williamson to be cannonized as a Saint. She should be added to the Litany of Saints.

@spiritrules89 Thomas Payne ( a freethinker) once said that if you took all the good out of the bible and put it in a separate book, it would not fill a hundred pages.

...also answer one question for me. Why if God is "perfect" would he want to judge any of us. To what purpose? It seems a very low thing in general to try and control anyone, so why would the highest of all things do it? Makes no sense.

Ok I hear you but why would God give us a choice at all if he only wanted us to live the way He wanted? It doesn't make any sense for a supreme being to judge us, no sense at all.

So if I'm not misunderstanding you are unable to witness to others and produce fruit because the Holy Spirit you have is a personal testimony only? "A truth that cannot be spoken for then it ceases to be the Holy Truth". Also what is the Holy Spirit of forgiveness? I have never come across that in scripture. I always understood that Jesus saves and Sends the Holy Spirit to keep us comfort in this foreign world.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. So how do you explain these verse's? Using the Holy Spirit as your guide, it should be quite clear to you.

@AntG72 Unfortunately many Christians have misunderstood Jesus' teachings. Reading your comments doesn't demonstrate to me that you really understand the teachings of Jesus. Its not lip service, i looked at your comments and how you responded. As a Course student, there is no need to defend the Course or attack the Bible. Love doesn't attack or defend. There is no need to. Truth stands on its own. The kingdom of heaven is NOT outside of us. TRUE teachers of any religion would love one another.

Dulci, Christianity doesn't need any help undermining itself. The followers that completely overlook the teachings of JESUS ie, love all, be fair to all, compassion for all, judge NO ONE, the power of God is within you, etc etc ,pretty much have taken care of Christianity's undermining love before MW graced the world with her perspective.

@333grace King James himself was a ruthless murderer. But the power of God's voice can be heard still. The Bible still saves lives, no question there. My concern is with any teaching that claims to be the ONLY way. I can't believe that Jesus would have looked at The Buddha (who by the way lived over 1000 years before Jesus) and said "man youre going to hell if you don't follow me." Teach only love. That's the message.

I'd rather be told the truth. This lady is not lying. She's not a demon. You just have a limited view of who Jesus was/is. Christ is in all of us. This lady is spreading Christ-consciousness. Yes, He brought God's message of love, but He also tells us that there is a narrow way to God and few there are who find it. God's Word, was written by men inspired by God. It is not just words from men. Do a deeper study and you will find it is 66 book written by 40 authors over 1500 years. No other book on earth compares to it and it all tells us of the love of God and all that He has done.

Who said God wrote the Bible? And you still didn't address my comments, so I'll ask it again. Why would a supreme being create us to have free will and then punish us for eternity for using it? Why would this "supreme" being judge us, when we teach even children that this is wrong? (notice I am not talking about M. Williamson so you can leave out your babble about her)

She does not speak the truth. Broken down a few weeks ago, I asked god to forgive me and to take away my pain. A great power rushed into me and I was comforted in a way I cannot tell you.
