Doc, something is going on. My wife and I built very nearly the same size structure as your garage/classroom building with precisely the same intentions (nimble, let the need decide the purpose of the space)for the second floor above the micro-plant. We start processing operations tomorrow. We are in a very poor region of Pa. When big Ag/government started picking winners and losers by initiating the dairy buyout program back in the eighties it was the beginning of the end for our community Ag economy. Hopefully this little plant of ours will inspire others to produce clean food in my area. I’m sure yours will be a success .

This is wonderful to see! Good for you Dr. Berry! My husband and I have been farming together for the past 18 years. I grew up on a dairy farm. I watch my dad burn both ends of his candlestick working the farm plus mechanic for others plus himself. It’s not easy, lots of heart ache…but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We butcher what we raise ourselves except for what is sold because that needs to be from USDA inspected facility. We do have butcher parties to make light of the work. Everyone who comes to help the meat gets split up at the end so everyone has something to take home. These people are close friends and family.

@@adelarsen9776Not quite two months into carnivore. I've been eating with a keto focus for a long time, though I did fall off the wagon quite a bit last fall and over the winter. I have to say you are correct. When I would go a week or so without eating red meat, even when I was eating at least a pound of meat at dinner, just never felt right till I got some red meat in my belly. Pretty cool being able to eat all the bacon you want as well 😆

12 months carnivore for me and I am doing great. I was clean keto for 6 months before that. Eating only animal products has made me healthy and fixed my heart. I got rid of my T2D and other ailments.@@dreichert1438

We have these types of family owned farms in OK. Every year the hubby and I buy half a cow for the two of us and it goes straight from the farm to the farm butcher, into a flash freeze and within 2 days of cutting, it's in our freezer. We get the the offal, and stock bones, suet etc. It's awesome.

We remodeled an 1800’s Farmhouse and it works SO well for the “Meat-Ups”, and offers a place to stay if that’s needed. With the planning and forethought that you have going in to this, and your vast amount of knowledge and experience, it will be as much and as big as you want it to be. What a blessing to see this that Ken / Nisha are doing the farm... people don't understand this is the foundation ground zero of assisting the communities food all SES. Grew up in a farming community and the govt doesn't understand when it comes to medical city is different than country as being a primary doctor ( medicaid) low SES in which the govt keep raising the cost of living and food while the salary doesn't compensate for such after a domino of shut down .. nothing is free and we are in trillion dollar debt. Gov should assist all farming in USA not out source to another country. we are losing farming communities due to the costs that Gov does not want to assist. Hence the local chicken farm that I have witnessed sold their farm to Tyson corporate and question how are they truly running it. do you really want to eat the chicken that you have not seen how it is raised.

Isn't it crazy? Our government wants to spend all our money on proxy wars and folks that didn't come here the right way, yet we can't have government with enough sense to bolster our ability to be energy or food independent, much less to take care of our veterans and our own homeless.. What a massive safety net! Just goes to show you that our government on either side has zero interest in our health or well-being, along with medical, big pharma, FDA, CDC or WHO. Scary how it lines up against us and seeks to make us sick but not dead, and easily controlled. We all know they want to take our meat away and having small farms like this goes a long way toward being self-sustained, especially if things get really South.
I didnt realize how close you are to my hometown. Not too many people have heard of Camden.

I tried the Carnivore diet for almost two weeks and actually liked the diet, but my heart rate strangely went up and stayed up - even to the point where it gave me poor sleep. I had to stop because of that and I felt like crap. Dr. Berry - Do you have any idea why my heart rate went up so much? I made sure that I was getting enough electrolytes - so that should not have been a problem. I searched the Internet and found other people who had the same uncomfortably high heart rate issue on Carnivore, but I would have loved to have been able to stay on this diet as it was working for me other than the heart rate issues.
Not sure I love the transition away from you and Neisha producing to a larger production team - the jury is still out. Don’t let them change your style too much Dr. B!
