100 percent fact. I recommend the Deutschland video! Simply amazing video.
Rammstein's members are: Vocalist: Till Lindemann Lead Guitarist: Richard Z. Kruspe Rhythm Guitarist: Paul Landers Bassist: Oliver "Ollie" Riedel Drums: Christoph "Doom" Schneider Keyboardist: Christian "Flake" Lorenz (Produced Flak-eh) Rammstein is a German Industrial Metal Band formed in Berlin in 1994. One of the best (if not the best) live band out there. Fun fact: Since they've formed, they've never had a member change in their existence (its been the same guys since day 1).

@pc That's not quite true. The band started at Schwerin when they recruited Till. The lyrics to the song Rammstein, for example, were written in a pub in Hohen Viecheln, which is north of Schwerin.

@@tosa2522 Right, but the band members grew up in eastern Berlin or at least in eastern Germany. They all have some connection to east Berlin, I guess that´s where the assumption that they formed in Berlin comes from.

Dude on a treadmill is hilarious. But the most fantastic part I think few people truly get, is this is a German band, singing in German, in France, and he doesnt even have to sing the damn song. The show starts with only the crowd singing the fucking song. Till doesnt have to even be there. Du Hast had such an impact on the world for this band, like.... jesus lol

Love the band and the show, but we have to remember it is not uncommon for Europeans to speak 2,3,4 or even more languages. Statistically, German is almost as popular as English as a second language in Europe.

The other thing that people often miss is that sometimes he asks, 'Willst du bist der tod uns scheidet treue sein...' (so - are you going to be true until death separates us) and some times he sings, 'Willst du bist der tod der scheide, treue sein...' (which is something like, are you going to be true even after the death of her vagina). And then the males yell out 'Nein" (No) and then there is a high pitched 'Ja' from female back up singers.
BTW the lead singer actually has a pyrotechnics certification. He designed a lot of the pyrotechnics along with experts.
This is a French crowd, singing in German, in France. W I L D
This is an amazing performance! Glad you chose to do this one. 🔥🔥🔥

Great performance but too bad the videographer absolutely butchered the editing of the show trying to make a live performance look like a music video... Like I want to see the performance not a million fast cuts and post processing effects
Du hast mich means You have me in german. Phonetically, it sounds like hasste which means hate. The song is about the lack of commitment towards marriage.

They did it in English as well and they translated it to hate for most of the song
I don’t care what kind of genre of music you like I guarantee you will enjoy Rammstein live they don’t disappoint. Seen them at the Pledge of Allegiance tour
Singer is a pyrotechnic expert
I can only imagine the meetings preparing the concert: "And at this part, we blow up the stage." "You're being hyperbolic, right?" "No."
They are on a different level when it comes to their music and definitely their live performances. Great reaction to their music. Thank you for this. Much love
I think they totally missed his SHOOTING the fireworks gun....
This what you call a tremendously awesome song with total crowd control. Absolutely phenomenal!!!!
Absolutely love rammstein. Glad you guys reacted to it.
Their BIG recent song , is the song "Deutschland". You need watch the official music video. Should watch the full video including the end credits to. It'll be hard to take in everything what is going on in one viewing, but without spoiling it it is about the history and potential future of Germany. That should help atleast a bit to know.

Rammstein is demonic and sexually disgusting. That's why their music is so appealing to many. These people are not German's. They're from the other tribe and the music is used to degrade German people.
this band is heeeeeeavy for sure!
Seeing this done live blew my mind. Literally in my top 3 concert moments ever and I've been going to at least 3 big shows a year since I was 2, I'll be 32 in March.
Industrial metal at it's best. The track was used on the soundtrack for the first Matrix movie. They're notorious for their pyrotechnics, amazing to see live.

Those crazy Germans! lol. Great group and song, reaction. Nu-Metal, industrial metal.
Just think this is in France and all the fans are not German nor do they speak german ... but they sing along ... that shows dedication and the love to a band
German heavy metal. "Du Hast" means "you have" and "Du Hasst Mich" means "you hate me".
That was dope af!
They had that entire crowd eating out of the palm of their hand. That's just crazy
Rammstein is Universal!. Heavy& Dark. But their music makes you feel free. Freedom of music translates into LOVE. RammsteIn is my Favorite band. Has been since 1997. Thank you for being so open and sharing your raw emotions. 🔨❤
Rammstein live is dope... all that energy, atmosphere and fireworks are dope as fck.
Rammstein is an amazing german band that thrive on their crazy music videos, crazy theatrics etc. Till lindemann the lead singer is fully involved with how the shows look and is a pyro technics expert and does all the flames and fireworks etc. Try Engel live - he has fire wings. Try Mein land - amazing music video
Hey Asia and BJ. Thanks for reacting to Rammstein. Rammstein are a German industrial metal / hard rock band, so they sing mostly in German, but have some songs in English. In German, the 'ei' in 'stein' is mostly pronounced like 'eye' and 'ie' is pronounced 'ee' - whatever vowel comes second, that's what you pronounce. It's different to English in many cases. "Du hast (you have) mich (me)," sounds similar to, "Du hasste (you hate) mich (me)," so there is a play on words in the lyrics. The song is about a lack of commitment by many to their marriage. The lead singer, Til, is a qualified pyrotechnicist, so their live shows always have lots of fire. Many of their songs have a fairly simple structure, but they are usually very emotive and dramatic, and their live shows are epic. My favourite song is 'Keine Lust' (No Desire). It's a faster paced song, so I'd love to see you react to that if you're going to do any more Rammstein. Thanks again.
More Rammstein 🤟🤟🤟from 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
Their live performance of Mein Teil from this show is well worth a watch.

I've been waiting on y'all to react to this ♥️
Germans love thier metal (I was stationed there in the Army from '86 to '88,) and went to the Monsters of Rock day long concert in '87 in Nuremburg. Biggest, most intense mosh pit I was ever in. The Polizie (police) tear gassed us it got so violent and out of hand (there's some video of it on youtube.) This is my favorite Rammstein song. Appreciate ya'll.
Rammstein, the only band who can go to France and get a bunch of French to chant in German.
Epic reaction!!!
Live shows are a spectacle and the videos well thought through pieces of imagery. Solid band.
The best way I have heard people describe till lindmenn who is the lead singer is. He is a pyro technician who likes to sing
What’s kinda crazy is that this a German band performing in Paris France. They have history! 🙃
You are definetely correct - rock trancends language and is universal. The double meaning of "Du hast" (you have) and "Du hasst" (you hate) is a critical element and also refers to the German lyrics referring to the German marriage vows. If you want to pursue Rammstein playing with lyrics, iconography and symbolism, you should check out the full length video of Deutchland. Spectacular video of the band throughout some of the worst parts of German history flanked by a "physical" representation of Germania - the embodiment of Germany and German spirit.
the lead singer till got certified in pyrotechnics to combat his stage fright.
Rammstein isn't my all time favorite band but they are a close 2nd, but.... they put on a live show like no other. No one even comes close to a live Rammstein show. If they are ever within travel distance to see, go. The energy and show you'll see and feel is beyond wild.
Hell yeah 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good morning, jeeeeeaaah Rammstein, I just got my energy injection for the day. Best live group ever. I love 💕 Rammstein ..... great reaction 👍 ....... please more Rammstein .....
The lead singer Till is a licensed pyrotechnician, they call the keyboardist Flake. This band is amazing, please check out Engel live at Madison Square Garden.
If I can suggest Till Lindemann the lead singer from Rammstein solo stuff. He has a very creative mind and music is 🔥
I saw them this past August in Philly! They are amazing! Lots of fire!
One of the best live bands that has ever existed
Therefore Rammstein is the best live band in the world by fare and one of the most famous metal bands since 25 years. Rammstein concerts are a lifetime experience you will never forget. Great reaction
They put on a great show! I saw them at Family Values 1998, Fort Worth Texas.
Rammstein is that kind of band no matter what kind of music u like at a festival EVERYONE is going to see their show
best live performance on earth RAMMSTEIN Greetings from Germany Deutschland the music video is a blockbuster movie
"Let me clear my throat!" Helllllll yeah
Deutschland and Ohne Dich original videos are fantastic cinema and recent favorites.
Thanks guys! This show is off the chain! If you ever get a chance, go see them! Sounds like METALLICA meets HERBIE HANCOCK! Metal marries techno! It's definitely a vibe. The kind that rattles fillings out of your mouth!

No, they should do more Neue Duetsche Hart., Every reaction channel are the doing the same shit that it's stale.
This particular song has a lot of ambiguity in German at the beginning, as hast (have) and hasst (hate) sound exactly the same, and you don't know if he's saying "you, you hate me" or "you, you have me" until the end when he says "du hast mich gefragt" (you have asked me). It's basically wedding vows: Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet (Do you want until death separates) Treu ihr sein für alle tagen (to be true to her for all days) His last lyric changes slightly, giving 2 possible meanings in German: Willst du bis zum Tod der scheide Sie lieben auch in schlechten tagen Default meaning: Do you want until death, which separates, to love her even in bad days? But, if you capitalize Scheide, (making it a noun), it becomes: Do you want until the death of the sheath (vagina), to love her even in bad days? At the end of each of these sections, the choir is singing Ja! (Yes!), but then he comes back with Nein! (No!) Rammstein has tons of hits though, I'd recommend checking out their song "Stirb Nicht Vor Mir (Don't die before I do)" - it shows Till's softer range, which is still incredible.

I could translate the lyrics from the years of German I studied in HS and college, but I never paid enough attention to try to piece together the meaning. This is so cool to know:) Vielen dank! Du bist sehr klug:)

Very nice, but the difference is "scheidet" (as in till death does part you) and "Scheide" (wich is the German word for vagina)
You gotta do Deutschland.... It's a feature movie quality video and sounds amazing. (Rahm-sh-tine like wine)
rammstein wollt ihr das bett in flammen sehen live in Paris and rammstein feuer frei live y'all would love it
Loved this, you so cute. Hugs again as always from Sweden.
Du Hast means You Hate. Du hast mich gefragt und Ich hab nichts gesagt means You hate me to say and I did not obey. I really like this song. Eiffersucht (Jealousy) or Klavier (piano) or Bestrafe Mich (punish me) are good too. They have some good hits. Ich Will, Mutter, etc. This was popular in the late 90's on MTV. Took two years of German in high school and a semester in junior college. Nein means no. It sure helped. The electric treadmill keyboardist was hilarious. Request: White Zombie--More Human Than A Human.

Actually, phonetically it means You hate (du haSST) or You have (du haSt). So a word play. You hate (2 s's) . You hate. You hate me (or You have me). You have (1 s) asked me So the first sentence translates to You have asked me and I have said nothing.... He sings about weddings vows, the woman waiting for his answer "Ja oder Nein" and him not answering.

The term “du hast” is what is referred to as a homophone in that in German, it sounds the same as “du haast”, despite the two terms having different meaning. In other words, du hast, as in the title of this track, translates to “you have”. While du hasst, its homophone, means “you hate”.
Hey gang! Been hangin’ with you two for a bit. I’m sure this was mentioned at some point in the other 258 comments, but the “I” is long, like an eye🧿you see from. Ha ha… You are absolutely correct, music is the universal language and if the politicians don’t F with that, we may just be okay. We’d be cool if they’d stay out of the way. Don’t let all the fireworks fool ya, all those guys are professionally trained pyrotechnics. This was a two or three night set of shows, edited in post, (that’s where they added the lightening to the keyboard) and dropped as a video a few years ago. They’re German and get a bad wrap for it, but anybody would be welcome at their show. Get react!

I saw them in Atlanta in 2012. They are awesome and Til Lindeman (lead) is crazy. The reason he pounds the knee is due to him dislocating his knee and pounding it back in place on stage. He kept doing it because it looked cool afterwards. They are crazy. The best german band in my opinion.
