    I’m really glad those 2 young men, Noah and Alex, called the police on their friend, helped the police recover the murder weapon with fingerprints still on it, recorded their friend for evidence, and testified against him. They put Justice for Emma above their friendship, and never forgot who the true victim really was all along. Their parents raised them right, they should be proud of them😊

    I broke up with my boyfriend and shortly after, met the man that I would marry. My ( ex ) boyfriend said he wished me well. We played tennis as we always had, and afterward, he lunged at me and was strangling me. I played dead. He picked me up and headed out to the balcony ( 23rd floor ). as he got to the door I stiffened up so he couldn’t go through. He looked like he was snapping out of a trance and said: “ I don’t know what got into me” I said: “ well, no harm done, let’s have a glass of wine....” ( I really said that ). He said “ I have to go to the bathroom first...”. When the bathroom door closed, I ran like hell up and down the hallway knocking on doors and finally a young guy ( with a wife and children! ) let me in to call the police. When they got to his apartment he had done a “ legger” and I had to have protection to and from work etc. within a few weeks I left the island ( Oahu ) , married my husband, and we moved to London. That was 40 years ago ( July 18 ) and I’m breaking into a sweat writing about it still. I was very lucky ! ( as he was choking me he said “ if I can’t have you... yada yada yada”..... even at the time I thought “ how cliche!”... )

That being said, at that age your friendships are so intense and people’s moral compass hasn’t fully developed, so I could see it being difficult to do something like that. Your friends are everything to you at that age, so turning them in and thus damning them to a lifetime in prison might be a hard thing to do, even if you knew it was the right thing to do.

A homeless shelter. Just rented an airbnb, still here and scared to leave since I know he will flip out and try taking revenge on me for not wanting to be with him and he already got all these people to hate me and these were people I was friendly with and talked to. Anyone he sees me talking to he will go behind my back and make up all kinds of lies to try and stop them talking to me. The whole thing is more messed up, I have only told one person one of the worst things he did. After he did these things I tried very hard to separate but he is trying to sabotage me leaving anyway he can and I just wish I had a friend in person close by to help me leave. I tried getting a social worker and couldn't, nobody was there and each time I go for walks he tries accusing me of cheating on him- even though I caught him cheating on me redhanded

    This is why it angers me when "I hate you but I love you" relationships are glamorized in media. It's not cute, it's not their "special way" of showing they "love" you, your love will NOT change them into becoming a better person, instead it usually always ends in toxicity and break up violence. Sometimes, as portrayed in this case, it ends in the most drastic and heartbreaking way.

    It's not difficult to shoot and kill someone through a wall in the USA. The homes in the U.S. are cheaply built out of wood and plastic/vinyl siding. The homes aren't built out of brick/stone in the USA like they are in Europe. No joke..most of the homes in the U.S. are very cheaply built. It's like they're built out of plastic! I'm not joking! They are! So, that's how Riley Gaul shot Emma Walker outside of her parents' home. He knew exactly where she slept in the house. He wasn't there to scare her...he knew exactly what he was doing.

    So u never move around in ur bed, and sleep EVERY night in the EXACT same position? Not even an inch of difference ever? The chances of him hitting her knowing where she would lay are still extremely small to hit her in the head. A body shot would make more sense. The fact that he actually managed to headshot her from outside without having eyes on her, its actually amazing coincidence. I do believe he actually just tried to just scare her, but hit her by accident.

He got me right after a family member died so I was grieving and did not notice the red flags until it was too late. Hoping he just lets me take care of myself mentally, if he loved me as he says he would want me to feel okay. He does not love me, all those words are is more manipulation. She was already dead, or at least beyond saving, by the time he peaked in her room to check on her. As for your second point, Emma’s choice to phone Riley instead of her parents or the cops may have postponed her murder by a few days. If Riley hadn’t gotten Emma’s invite to come rescue her in that moment, he might’ve barged into the home, shot her, and fled. He had the gun at that point; prosecutors believe he had planned on gunning her down once she opened the door. (She refused.) Maybe he would have simply fled without breaking in, and gotten away before Mark or the cops could arrive to catch him. There’s a *chance* that this murder could have been averted had Emma phoned her father, but there are so many “what ifs” in that territory that I doubt Mark does much fixating on that incident in particular.

Riley was her boyfriend at once and since you said her parents "banned" him from the house, we can assume he has been in the house previously. I imagine he spent enough time to know which window on the house is hers and which wall her bed is up against, it's a simple math problem from there. Ive noticed a huge amount of husbands that murdered their wife/ex-wife say “my wife” this, “my wife” that. Never her actual name. Ive been curious about the psychology behind it.

  • @Safiyahalishah

    @Safiyahalishah

    @@raerae6422 Here's my personal take on it based on some cases I've been studying in social psychology. Neglecting to use someone's name is a way of dehumanising and deindividuating them. It also serves to create distance between the speaker and the referent if they know each other, especially intimately. The average person would probably think of their spouse as an equal, so calling them 'my wife' or 'my husband' wouldn't create the same distance that 'that girl' does. However, in many of the cases I've been seeing where a husband murders his wife or vice versa, the perpetrators seem to perceive their spouse as more a personal possession than an individual with a right to their own life. Saying 'my ______' rather than their actual name could be a reaffirmation in their own mind that they were justified in what they did. That is, they took control of a crucial part of their life when it started to spin out of control without their consent. Never mind that that 'part of their life' was a human being.

She told me she's flying to the mountains, but instead got my mother's number from my cousins, thru her friends, and contacted my mum and stayed with her, while telling me that she was in the mountains. The minute my mum told me, after 3 days, that this girl 'was staying with her and that she loves me alot'. I left my estate that minute and reached the city within 2 hours covering 250km on my bike, wondering what BS this girl has done. I didn't talk to my mum for a year because she let a stranger stay alone with her. That girl is a pure psycho bitch, cocaine addict too. A very bad combination!
