    The treasure as a whole has not been found, that much is true however, the discoveries made throught these years are truly changing History. That alone makes it an interesting watch. Put the the gold hunting and treasure aside and there have definitely been significant discoveries on Oak Iskand.

That is enough to watch this show. It is really amazing to me just how much they have found. The artifacts from hundreds of years past heck even the earliest findings there is totally throwing our history into a tailspin. If that's not enough to keep you watching you must be into instant gratification.

    The only thing I know for sure since starting to watch this show is that there must be something originally buried on the island ! Who it was becomes very interesting , when you look at the amazing time differences between the finds they have made ! My personal opinion is that several different groups of people have been on the island at different times , some to bury something and then at other times someone else to dig it up , and possibly bury something else , there are far too many different people and countries who have connections to the island over the years !

    Interesting Comment. I have been following this Oak Island saga since 1962 (i.e. sixty one years) and it stands to reason that something was originally buried/concealed at Oak Island and is most probably still there deep underground in the now-submerged cavern(s)/voids. Yes, there have been many visits/"pilgrimages" to Oak Island over the past two millennium by different peoples as it apparently was a very special, even sacred place. Oak Island was so significant that someone in the very distant past planted Canopy Oak Trees on the east side of the island adjacent to Smith's Cove that grew to towering heights to serve as landmarks so ancient seafarers sailing/rowing into Mahone Bay from the Atlantic Ocean could find Oak Island by spotting the Canopy Oak Trees on the horizon! There are archival photos of them on Google Images. FACT: Oak Island was the only island of the over 360 islands in Mahone Bay that had those Canopy Oak Trees and they are all gone today. The trees were non-indigenous to North America and have their origin from the Mediterranean Region/North Africa. It's mind-boggling! Whatever was buried/concealed in the Money Pit, it was religious in significance. Sorry so lengthy!

  • @coonarick

    @coonarick

    @@johnwoa Thanks for the your reply , for a situation as complex as Oak Island it's hard to have a short answer ! There is also the historical past with the Freemasons to be taken into account when trying to unravel the mystery , if this " treasure " is in any way involved with them it could have a direct link back to the Knights Templar ! But I feel sure that with the amount of time and money that is being put into finding the answers now that we will eventually find the truth behind most of what has happened on the Island . It may well be that a treasure was originally buried there , but someone came back and dug it up , or over time several different people have used the same Island to hide different things at different times ! It's this mystery that keeps us watching , and even if that's all they are able to prove its still been an incredible journey !

  • @johnwoa

    @johnwoa

    4 ай бұрын

    @@coonarick An incredible journey indeed! Judging from the civil engineering that went into the construction of the Money Pit (i.e. the dirt together with the securely-fastened oak log platforms every ten feet) and then the "90-foot stone" that was uncovered at the 90-foot level with the carved symbols found "face down" in the pit (SOURCE : Oak Island Archives), I believe that "whatever it is" that was buried/concealed in the Money Pit was never meant to be recovered. I sincerely hope that the premier of Nova Scotia and the provincial government can come to an agreement where the professional/dedicated team at Oak Island would have "professional" free reign in the immediate Mahone Bay region to focus on solving the Oak Island mystery in ALL its aspects as opposed to getting rich by finding treasure. Solving the "Who", "What", "When", "Where", "How" and "WHY" would make the brothers far more wealthier than finding silver and gold. It would put Nova Scotia on the world stage, be a financial boon for tourism in Atlantic Canada and be a win-win for everybody involved.

    @@user-tc6it4gk8s That "7 must die" is a superstition/legend that emerged in the 1890's after the second workman was killed while working with the excavations and this Reality TV show is capitalizing on the legend. I have to admit that there have been numerous unexplained phenomena/apparitions that have occurred on Oak Island over the past one hundred years. Dave Blankenship was witness to one of the "incidents" and I firmly believe what he said about it.

Fresh water like nearby wells...water table...or salt water from a flood tunnel??? 3rd...Since all supposed treasure lies in wake in "offset chambers" guarded by "flood tunnels" etc...did anybody ever think that the depositors had a way BACK in to retrieve their treasures??? Beyond this...note to self...why didnt they leave coffer dams in place at smiths cove so to shut off flood tunnels???? Awesome show but ask yourself....

    I've been following this saga long before this TV show--- even before the Restall tragedy. My long-standing belief is that the Money Pit was originally a deep open sinkhole that connected to the cavern(s) deep beneath the island and "whatever it is" was deposited FROM BELOW via cave/niche entrances at the shoreline which are now submerged as a result of the slowly-rising sea level surrounding Oak island over the past two millennium. The sinkhole was subsequently backfilled from the bottom up with dirt and the securely-fastened oak log platforms every ten feet--- basic Civil Engineering. What was buried/concealed there was never meant to be recovered. It is not 'treasure" per se. I believe it is a religious tomb. As for the coffer dam, they had to get a permit from the Nova Scotia provincial government to construct the coffer dam and it was only for a specific time period before the dam had to be dismantled. There are reasons beyond the scope of this Comment for this. The federal and provincial governments are very involved at every step with this ongoing Oak Island saga/mystery and there is much that is not focused on with this show. Sorry so lengthy!

    There is something on KZread where some guys from Oak Island went into a cave somewhere in Utah not too far from SWR after being told some old guy once found a solid wooden door deep inside the cave. His story was they were running out of something (matches? batteries? I can't remember) so they didn't have time to try and open the door yadda yadda yadda. Then he made a promise to God if he ever got out alive he'd never go back. I only ever saw the one episode so maybe that's all there was? I can't recall what is was called but it's here somewhere.

    @@beer1for2break3fast4 You are referring to the Lost Josephine Mine in Utah. "Beyond Oak Island" covered it in an episode. There's also all kind of stuff about it on the Internet. I don't follow it so I don't know if the wooden door was ever found.

    Has no one made a small enough ROV to be dropped down a pipe shaft and into the supposed under ocean fresh water stream ? Drop a sump pipe down into it to allow a rov to go either direction for clear water to follow !
