I was a bit surprised about Kara's performance with the weights. Looks like she went too hard in the previous event and had nothing left in the tank. Was sure she would catch up with the lunges.

I'm hoping that Tia's success this year is the propellant that drives Sara's belief in self to the point where she believes she has all the necessary heart & skills to dominate like Tia just did. The community see's it. The moment Sara see's it everyone else's chances for the top of the podium, shrink drastically.

  • @namelessghouls

Tia won by a hair so she didn't dominate at all. I like Tia, but she's far from being a dominant athlete and honestly none of the women have been dominant at all like Matt has which makes the women way more fun to watch. But I hope you're right. I love Sara. I also love Camille but after this injury I don't think she will be back. Her progress has been quite slow. I do hope Brooke Ence makes a comeback this year. Her recovery is going well.

Tia started the games in 1st and finished 1st. With one more event, Kara may have taken it away from her. Did you see the look on Kara's face immediately after the last event? It was as if she just figured out that she has a real chance to run the tables next year. As for Matt, I'm not sure anyone will replicate his dominance any time soon. It would be interesting to see Brooke at the games again. So much dynamic energy. Camille has time to make the Olympics.

Heat 4 of the women's final was SUCH a nailbiter! Loved it! I'm glad Sara Sigmundsdottir ended the games on such a high note. She is still my sentimental favorite female crossfitter and I would have loved to see her on one of those podiums at the end. I bet Kara Webb will be counting squats (or lunges or whatever) in every competition going forward. If that judge had not told her to cross before completing her 75 overhead squats in the 2223 Intervals event, she may have won this whole thing. They don't know for sure if it would have taken her six seconds to do those last three squats. She seems to get pumped and increase speed. Not to take anything away from Tia-Claire Toomey (she was phenomenal also), it just sucks that that happened to Kara.

They really deserve it and it would also allow more athletes to focus on only CrossFit without haveing to work other job and we could see the sport become even greater

It has to be so anoying that everything you do is compared with other person achivements... Fraser is a monster of Fitness in a new era of this sport. 6 years ago there's a diferent scene in The Games. Can be compared? Yes, you can compare each other but today is a more competitive sport thant it was 3 years ago. See someone earn 87% possible points for the first time in 10 years is why we should stop camparing each other. For me, there are diferent scenarios and diferent leagues. Both a machines, but differents all the way

In each hand 124 pounds each, and 35 pounds each for women. I think men it's 203 pounds each and I don't remember the other kettlebell for men.
