Lenny is, probably, supposed to mirror Homer, by being skinnier, more competent in work, little more successful version of him in early episodes.

Love when Homer becomes a gay marriage minister and Marge says he mustn’t push them

Historians will be like "They were good friends"

Homer's drinking companions are like four temperaments: Moe is choleric, Barney is sanguine, Lenny is phlegmatic, Karl is melancholic.

Carl fits phlegmatic role more accurately, he is really less vulnerable and slightly insensitive out of two. Lenny occasionally seems to feel down and concerned, plus more emotionally open, so he closer to melancholic. In fact, *Moe* with his constant depression even more appears as melancholic, that makes Lenny, possibly, sanguinic.

Im guessing Karl is as much into Lenny as Lenny into him, but he's a bit afraid and doesn't accept that. If either of them would make a move the other would be like 'i didn't knew you felt the same' and start something. Just a thought.

They should do more episodes dedicated to this friendship, an episode about the friendship of Lenny and Carl would be good(well there is already one but you know what I mean) we will be able to see the true essence of it, they would have more opportunities for episodes with this.

It’s the season 14 episode Helter Shelter! Ironically, it’s one of the few times Homer (or anyone other than Burns) seems to prefer Carl over Lenny, as he wanted the family to stay with Carl, but mixed up their names and suggested Lenny instead.

when i was around 7-8, before I knew exactly what being gay was. I had thought that Lenny and Carl were in a relationship, I was always wondering if they were going to show the origin story of their relationship. The episode Half-Decent Proposal pretty much confirmed it for me.

I like Carl, but as for Lenny I'm sure Flanders once called him a jerk and how can you argue with Ned? Lol. Anyway, I don't think there is anything secretive between them. I think when there is such a close friendship, one will always adore the other a lot more and this is just exaturated.

Lenny has to be my favorite.

You know those co-op games when you both can't leave the screen? I kind of think these two have something like that, they can't separate!

The story of Lenny and Carl, is pretty interesting. I don't understand why they had to switch brains though. I can understand if one of them was actually dying, or something like that. But, that's just my opinion. And let's not forget, in the same episode where Lenny Carl we're meant to pair up, they had a fistfight, in the parking lot, over a little disagreement that they had. That's why, when they were paired up later in the episode, Carl said "Aw, nuts!" Good episode!

But you have to remember the old saying, "Boys will be boys!" In a show heavily burdened by stereotypes. Guys show affection by being selfish, violent creatures, right? And you see with all other couples that fighting I'd thr best foreplay. Just throwing it out there.

Did you know the dinosaur Lenny drew is a sauropod? That’s the name given to the group of dinosaurs with long necks. It is likely an Apatosaurus, which Brontosaurus was once mistaken to be a synonym of.

I love your timeline videos so much, they're fantastic snippets into the characters lives and with this one focussing on both Lenny AND Carl, there's the perfect balance between them both. I voted for Skinner for the next one because I'm ready for my feels to be broken and my heart to be ripped out going back and re-living how the show did him and Edna dirty and ruined their relationship. 😭

I think is funniest scene is we’re they fought with nuclear bars like they were lightsabers and fighting Carl saying that the phantom menace was worse(I think) but Lenny saying that the attack of the clones was worse( I think)witch I agree with Lenny

Personally I think there is def something there. More likely on Lenny's side, but their differing personalities and life experiences lead Carl to be a much more reserved person with a tendency to push others away. It makes sense he would be scared to approach what he and Lenny have, especially if he's concerned about potentially ruining their friendship if they turned it into something more. Carl seems content just spending time with Lenny, and Lenny is more than happy to go at Carl's pace. I think that's pretty neat.

Subscribed. Anyone who does so much work in videos deserves to be appreciated. Especially if it's about a fun topic like the Simpsons :).

When Marge is about to save Lenny and Homer from that burning oil rig. Lenny doesn't want to climb onto the helicopter. Lenny "there's nothing up there for me" Carl "don't be so sure!"

I think the Simpsons likes teasing us with the "are they gay" "best friends" "is Lenny in love with Carl, but Carl just sees him as a friend but doesn't want to hurt him" and other ideas. I can't decide. Sometimes I am sure they're in love or at least Lenny is, other times I just think they've found their un romantic soul mate, you know that best friend that you are closer to than anyone else. I think it would be fun if they were gay, or at least bi-sexual

I always kinda took that as confirmation of Lenny's "confirmed bachelorhood" because of Homer's episode about how great his life would have been if he never had kids.

Frankly… While I think the interest is there on Lenny’s side, I actually think in terms of romantic chemistry, his best odds are forming a throuple with Homer and Marge.

I think Lenny really likes Carl, In a romantic way, however, Carl only sees it as platonic

GReat video.. There is a theory I'd like looking into - is there more to Lenny than we know? For instance, has there been a thing between Marge and Lenny - in the episode guest starrign Ron Howard, when Homer lies and says Lenny was in an accident, Marge has a shrine dedicated to Lenny (and Bart and Lisa react as if it's a major thing) and in another episode, Homer reaches into Marge's hair and pulls out a framed photo of Lenny.
