beautiful area to film, thanks for all the views. Loved the architecture. Looks like quite a place, horse and carts, people jogging and riding bikes. All up a great ride!

Thanks Geoff, this was a video that I've been wanting to do for sometime now. The new camera gave me the picture quality and watching your excellent Melbourne narrative videos gave me the final piece of inspiration needed to do project.

The battery fort was formed due to the United States defending the nation in the Revolutionary War when British military ships crossed the Atlantic and invaded and attacked the United States. The cannons and the statue of a leading Revolutionary War General, Moultrie, at White Point Gardens facing the battery, displays narrative of this history. You merely mentioned Civil War, without mentioning the battery's foundation being the Revolutionary War against invasion by the nation which Americans had taken refuge from in America. Much later the northern union army invaded the southern union states and started an (un)civilized war, robbing the south, in a guise of ending slavery, while the northern union continually kept black slavery "legal" in the northern union states for two years after the southern states had abolished slavery in the south. Also the northern union expanded slavery of blacks into the previously untapped states in the western region of the nation.
