I could have sworn that low scoring wins against.bad teams still count as wins though. 😂 Lol yall complain about everything, even when they start winning. Because yeah the cards are the ONLY team who score low runs

Yeah, they’re killing the Cubs and Marlins. Expectations have fallen a long way. Definitely take the wins, though. Wind was blowing out on Sunday. Both teams should be ashamed.

When they get to 5 games over .500, I MIGHT start to believe a little bit.

These are the Cardinals I was hoping for ... just good enough to get to the trade deadline. Add some Pieces and get into the playoffs ... I never thought they will go far in the post season w out a legit number 2 starter, and still dont ... but before the season if you would of said 06/17, 2nd place and 6 games back. I would have said ... "ok. I hope so".

Read the idea of Crawford to the Dodgers. Makes sense. Thinking he would be quite happy, as he doesn’t get to play here, despite the doubles and HR lately.

@@boschlosser10 We need depth in the bullpen. Everybody is beginning to show the strain. Going to need to rely heavily on Libertore, Leahy etc. Need to give the others some time off.

Wow close game today with a bad bad marlins team but win is a win above .500 they need to get this sweep and then take advantage of a struggling SF team and be 3-5 above .500 nearing end of June really start to separate from this insane wild card NL

I would like to see them keep Pages up when Willy is back and send Ivan down to work on D…but we might need his bat to stay up

@@boschlosser10 Herrera is arguably the one of the most consistent bats on the roster right now… I definitely see his usage going way down once they are back but he would still be a nice pinch hit option off the bench

I agree that Oli has done a better job this year, but I’m tired of the narrative that the fans are all dumbasses and make up reasons to dislike or criticize Oli. Cardinals nation loves their players and coaches, we aren’t a bunch of braindead haters man… The Random firing of Shildt Mo is the one that hired Oli Wildcard Series Against Philly Not being held to the same standard as managers of the past (Matheny’s club was .500 and that wasn’t up to standards, Shildt canned after winning season & 17 game win streak) The Waino Show Smug Postgame Interviews including endless excuses during 2023 Tyler O’Neill Sub .500 record since he took over Bizzare lineups dating back to 2022 “Getaway” games where multiple starters are rested even when off days are approaching and we have the chance to win a series 2023 was a year marked by pitchers being taken out too late Strange messaging about the state of the club Lashing out at the media

Really great podcast, hat tip to Bernie & Will. I’m with Will, the improved play doesn’t mitigate the wretched roster. I noticed the Dodgers are paying Kiki Hernandez $4M, and he can play middle infield or outfield, and his OPS is .703. Contrast that with Carp, who can’t play any defensive spots, is not contributing anything but I guess he’s fixed the clubhouse! #WTF

Assuming they don’t sign goldy for next year, contreras should transition to 1st/C/DH. Herrera could be the next DH. Burly might be the next 1B, they have more roster clog situations. Difficult decisions to make. Luken Baker’s future with the team seems to be over, they should package him this year. To the pitching side everyone was whining about SP last year when it really was the BP losing game after game. I’m excluding Waino’s performance because if they were in contention at any point he wouldn’t have been getting starts. The team had the most blown saves by the all star break and blown leads after the 6th. I’m glad Mo saw this issue and targeted BP right away starting at last year’s trade deadline. There needs be an offensive shakeup this trade deadline. In fantasy land they sign soto in the offseason lol

Cards would be in the playoffs today. No wonder baseball is fading. So beating up bad teams is functioning at a high level. Actually not even beating them up but winning by the skin of their teeth against some very poor pitching. NL Central is nothing but a joke.

A word to the wise by a wise old man and longtime fan, cut out the Twitter/X crap, the sooner you quit looking at the social media idiots that love to snipe at you from the cover of their basements, the happier you will be. Go Cardinals, remember how pleasant being a baseball fan was before social media screwed up the entire culture?, I do, and I will not participate in that kind of self loathing.
