My dividend journey began when I realized that two particular expenses in my budget were always going to go up and never go down. The two expenses were taxes and insurance. I realized that the dramatic rise in both will need some added income. So, I started buying shares paying dividends. I can now see that this will be the path I need to take to make sure those two expenses will not overtake my future income.

As a beginner, educate yourself, Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online, including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, its important to do your own research.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K.

Until today, I had never heard of Emma Grede😮 This woman is absolutely amazing! Her story and journey is real and yet extraordinary. Her words hit me in a place that Is it only understood if you come from a certain place and even though she's from across the pond the system and environment/community that held her but that she needed to be released from resonates so much with my story🤯 her truths are so profound and her ability to simplify and share those truths in a way that is positive and not a woe is me story is a gift for me and everyone listening to this podcast. I love her energy, her voice, and her humility. But then there's this level of confidence, drive, passion, I'm not taking no for an answer and you're not taking anything from me power that she exudes even through this podcast!! While watching this I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.... But I extremely proud of her resilience and level of gratitude that she has even at her level - amazing! Wow! The wisdom that has been dropped during this podcast is life changing! So raw and needed!!! As a single mother raised in the USA south is a message so many need to hear. This frames “motherhood” in a really new way. Bold admissions that may give some exactly what they need to push forward. I will listen again with a notebook and pen. I listened while on a walk originally. Thank you. Not what I was expecting! In a good way.

This interview is soooo good! The part about being selfish longer because everyone else is busy thinking of themselves, so don’t feel bad about being selfish bc no one is going to get what you want for you 💛💛💛

I did not know much about Emma-outside of GA and Shark Tank-before this conversation. As a Black woman entrepreneur who has worked with Black women entrepreneurs for almost 15 years I appreciated this conversation greatly. I’d heard of 15% Pledge and appreciate Emma’s advocacy. Greta interview. This was my first time watching anything by Jay as well. Well done conversation

This interview is just a blessing to my ears. Being an African woman where we are taught to only have as dream being a married woman, as far as O remember, I always believed since i Was 12 years old, that I can gbe ambitious, have a career, family and it all, it just takes the right partner, a very good organisation. From the fact that Emma dropped out of school and did all of these jobs, we have here a prime example of real life challenges. I am a big advocate of going far when it comes to school as I really believe real change comes from the laws and school will most of the Time, give you that place at the table where laws are written, but never consider yourself half human because you couldn’t finish school. All is within you, you have something, that is unique, just shape it and work, remain focus, and then it is all happen. Thank you to these two for this episode.

It is inspiring to see people do what they love and learning from every experience, even if not ideal. But what is? Thank you, truly.

Her points about tending to yourself, our position next to, not in competition with, others, the human tendency to project onto others, how we can criticize ourselves more than we criticize others or they criticize us, knowing the voices in your head as tools to use to your benefit...im cookin!! ❤🔥🍳 The grace and beauty and LIFE she exudes is reassuring as this is who imagine myself to be in my heart of hearts. Loooovee this conversation!

The title says that anybody can make a billion-dollar industry... Well, it seems that the statement is true, but untrue at the same time. Not everybody wants to be at the center of attention 24 hours a day, in order to make a billion dollars....Some people love privacy and are much happier spending time alone or with two friends in nature. Not everybody is built in a way to feel pleasure from being on camera every day. For many people, it's losing privacy and personal peace... For others it is exciting but some people find much more happiness by observing the world quietly and reading books or listening to music, or doing various hobbies without wasting money all the time. ....It seems the billon business is only for those who have an idea about how it makes them happy, but it's not for everybody. It doesnt make everybody happy. Some people love nature and a minimalistic lifestyle. They are rich by having interesting hobbies.

First saw her on the Kardashians and literally thought she was the project manager for Khloe's brand. I then saw her host a dinner with a few UK influential women through some influencers I follow on Instagram. I then got to her Instagram page and I was blown away with what she does and who she is. She is on the Dragon's den.

I love what she demonstrates, and the fact that she includes more women who represent what I look like, and communities who are marginalized, is unwavering. It's inspiring me to build my own women's health company with diversity, and inclusion, and represent more of us women in the center. Thank you for this conversation.

Love the idea of the thirds. It can definitely seem like if you’re not completely overjoyed during the entire entrepreneurial process, that maybe you’re not cut out for it. It’s reassuring to hear that yeah misery is a third of it because the feeling is real.
