This was such an amazing interview and helped me in so many ways. Being 6 months out of an 11 year relationship/8 year marriage, "healing is messy" is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thinking I was over my ex, and then feeling sad again as our anniversary just passed, La La articulated what I was feeling so eloquently in just those three words. Thank you for being vulnerable and for the reassurance to forgive ourselves!

I honor you both for such a raw and beautiful interview. We all have our journeys and I can relate to the challenges that refine us and make us stronger. There is beauty to see every day in life, if we choose to see it, in spite of the struggles that we endure. Most people wonder how am I still standing after overcoming so many challenges, but I want to tell everyone to love and know yourself and live from the heart.....love is the key to life and trusting in the Universal Creator and the power that is within you as a Co-Creator with the Universe.

  • @metamorphosis_x

Hearing La La talk about what she honours about herself is definitely something I can relate to. I've expressed out loud on numerous occasions how frustrated I feel with myself when I feel I'm still not over something and how I should be over it by now. When I find that I'm still experiencing difficulties in specific areas or I'm still being triggered by specific things I seem to think that I'm not making any progress and almost get mad at myself like how are you not over this yet? I think it was a nice reminder from La La that healing definitely is messy and it's not as straight forward as we may want it to be. It takes time and you just can't put a timer on when your healing is over because that will just leave you feeling disheartened, and disappointed because you're not healing at the speed you think you should be. Give yourself grace and always be kind, loving, and understanding with yourself because healing is one of the most difficult processes a human being can go through and beating yourself up about the fact that you're still struggling in certain areas isn't helpful to yourself at all.

I can relate to so many points during this conversation, minus the kid part. But I love Lala's views on raising her son post divorce and teaching him to be a humbled young man. By the way, I hung out with her uncle and his wife a loooong time ago on holiday in Punta Cana. We were the only "New Yorkers". He was so proud of the woman she is. I can see now, why he had so much pride. Thanks for this panelist. Lala, was def a great example of hard work ethics and realness! I was inspired.

Jay, all my problems were coming from binge drinking! I quit 2 years ago and it's thee best decision I ever made. I lead a decent life, playing in bands and writing songs for publishing companies, but at 43 I knew I had to quit. I just wish I had done it when I was much younger. It was holding me back, slowing me down. I would be ultra focussed on my goals when not drinking, but when I would go on a binge, I basically got nothing done, putting things that are important to me on the backburner, and feeling guilt and shame as a consequence, and beating myself up for a week with a hangover from hell. Now, my mind is much clearer, and I've got more done in the last 2 years than I had in the previous 5 years. Drinking is a complete waste of life!!

I made a commitment a while ago to not shame myself any more. I was conditioned since a kid to do everything...literally everything...from a state of shame or to avoid shame. That caused a lot of self sabatoging, especially by not knowing how to set boundaries and owning my time and energy. Books like "30 Days to Overcome Shame" by Harper Daniels were a nice help, and a funny book called "You Suck" by Paulie Amigo.

Jay you have no idea how much your podcast/mediations via the Calm app has blessed my life. I primarily don’t have a strong support system to rely on. Whether that is family or friends. However your platform has allowed me to have the conversations I wish I could have! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring enough to follow through with Gods plan for your life!! Because without it; I just don’t know. I live to be inspired & to inspire even my troubles. You’ve helped with that! Thank you ❤ To Lala, Queen I see you, I felt you & heard you! I saw so much of myself in your authenticity! As a single mother of two w/no contribution from their fathers or their family. I am too am a people pleaser. Having not much of a community who is on the self improvement journey as am; it’s rough! I also am a workaholic because when it’s all on you; you don’t have a choice. I appreciated hearing your journey & I am also trying to have grace w/myself in it all. This time of year is always so hard emotionally/financially. You spoke to my pain! I love you & respect you. Keep thriving ❤ Sorry this is so long ❤

I feel like I have been and I am still learning how to be kinder to myself and slower with myself to have fun, relax and let go. I have learned in american society and coming from the background I did. I had to learn to stop allowing work, money achievements and career be my identity and learn to give back all that energy to myself. Sleep is one of the new things I am learning as well as just putting away the work and not trying to figure out every detail of my life. also, learning I don't have to explain why Iv'e made certain decisions. I just wanted to leave a quick comment. I’ve always known about Lala, but just by listening to this video, you tend to have a bigger understanding of who she is deep down inside and the battles that she has overcome I have to say that it has given me a different, insight of who she is and that is amazing, loving and caring

Lala has such a beautiful soul. What a pity that she doctored her face and body, allowing insecurity to take over. She is THAT girl, beautiful in and out. Wishing her all the best, she deserves it ❤

She was shaped very differently beforehand I think the mistake she made was getting trendy surgery she can probably modify anything she may no longer want

Abandonment issues are so difficult to heal. Hoping this best for this beautiful person. Hopefully she won’t allow any negativity to stop her from moving forward, those people just simply don’t understand.
