Yes, I had my first at 21 and I have had an entrepreneurial dream since then- but I kept starting..stopping..working in jobs I don’t like…went to school…graduated at 35 …got into IT..six figures…still not my dream but supports my family so this resonates so much ❤

Mielle organics is just very hydrating. My curls were very dry after the second big chop. And the color was also another reason. Love to see women of color do amazing things. Crazy I also sold Avon and Tengusca ling ling time ago. And as for seeing a person that is a celebrity or considered a celeb, I do not talk to them. Your skeptical about meeting them because of the ego and rejection whether it is people or places. I went to a popular vegan chain and I was disappointed in the service talk about snarky. And I met one of my favorite singers and she was very standoffish I did not understand when she held a meet and greet before her video shoot. I never reach out to celebs even when I see them but that became a standard to not talk to them after that.

This is a great interview bc Monique speaks so well and with wisdom. But I do think the focus on ageism is crazy. I’m halfway in but the sheesh….. You seem so shocked like life layouts differently for everyone and usually all women transfer out of the maiden stage and enter into who they truly are when something drastic happens…. It’s the comparison when we all have different cars in the lanes in which we are trying to get to the finish line. The paradigm shifts at different times for everyone. But with age, comes wisdom so respectfully question bc it sounds crazy to me. #35
