The body filler begins! Sky-gea build: Part 4
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video we finish up the welding by completing the second fender and then we make a start on the body filler. This stage is one of the most difficult parts of the build as I need to get both fenders identical and fitting perfectly before I can make my moulds.
I'm going to try and get this stage of the video done as quickly as possible to not bore you all with weeks of sanding.
Also I've been putting much less background music in these latest episodes, let me know if you are enjoying this new format or if there are any changes you would like me to make.
Enjoy the video.

Thank you so much to everyone for the amazing feedback on this video. I've been blown away by how much everyone is enjoying this new build series! I always try to respond to everyone's questions in these comments sections and I'd just like to remind everybody to turn on the video subtitles as a lot of the time these will answer your questions! Thank you! A quick reminder to hopefully address some common questions I've been getting: - These fenders are only intended to be used as plugs for mould making, the final fenders fitted to this car will be made entirely out of fiberglass. This is why I didn't weld the panel fully and why I have been adding so much reinforcement to the inside to keep the shape solid. Not to mention the body filler that is over 10mm thick in some spots. I may be rough but I'm not that rough haha. - Both the front and rear of this car will be fitted with over fenders. This is because the GTR front is significantly wider than the Stagea and so the rear must be widened to match. A bolt on widebody is the cheapest and easiest way to do that and so I opted for that method for anybody interested in buying this kit once it is available for sale. - I specialize in composite bodywork and so with a lot of my builds you will see me focus on just the exterior of my vehicles. To be honest, this is just what I prefer doing. There are some amazing channels here on KZread that do builds that I could never even hope to hold a candle to. But what I enjoy the most about working on cars is the design aspect. I want to get my hands on as many different vehicles as possible and if I were to do full builds on all of them each build would take well over a year to complete. I have many many more builds planned for this channel on a wide range of different styles, I hope you will all stick around! Thank you all again so much for being the most awesome subscribers I could have asked for.

I love what you do and your philosophy around what you enjoy is really insightful. I think it's awesome you can turn out the work that you do and have variety by focussing on what's important to you. I was really inspired by the Miata build (I'm now building a hardtop for my Vitara 😅) and look forward to seeing more of the Sta-GTR. Keep it coming, you're an inspiration 👍

Absolutely fantastic work bro... I was thinking of not doing a wide body to my 87 Celica GtFour but you have inspired me to bite the bullet and do it
Gonna be sweet. Saw another cool wagon build 2001 M3, Think it's the E46. Same idea as the fenders, rear arches, mirrors and back bumper had to be modified. Very OEM+ styling with M3 engine and manual trans. So clean. Who doesn't love a clean wagon with some guts to roast the tires.
I'm really enjoying the fact that you're doing this to a wagon!
I think the hard work you do is amazing, but your real talent is envisioning how the car should look.
In the immortal words of Jimmy DiResta "If it looks straight, it is straight". And hey, you can always be a quality body man 😹

I actually saw one of these for the first time ever today in the UK !
I have so much respect for body work guys such as yourself. I throughly enjoy your style of video/editing you have chosen very therapeutic to watch you you do body work 🤙🏽
It's not a car it's a rolling piece of art
I want one of those patented sanding blocks with a signature please, so I can resell it in 20 years when you are famous :D
When I work on my car I’m constantly listening to an audiobook, music, something. Yet, I could watch hours of your videos, perfectly content with the ambient sounds of the environment. Life it strange.

Такое внимание к мелочам поражает. Отличная работа! Жду финал этого проекта) 🤝
Love the fact so many people have such low expectations given the dodgy KZread builds that are out they can't believe that some one is looking at doing it properly.
i cant imagine building one of these fenders once let alone twice
お疲れ様です! 今日も最高な動画ありがとう!
my bless from Spain amazing job!! keep it up!
I really hope you get molds made of those fenders in case they're ever damaged. You've put so much work into them!

I am really entertained and motivated to do similar things by your work, and I do think that u could definitely keep it going without the subtitles but they do help a little bit if it's is something that is not fully understandable from the video itself... anyways, keep it going and congrats for the hard work and creativity
This is what I call amazing.
Hell yeah! I would love to do the same to my NM35.
This is going to look awesome when done, I take it that these parts with the fenders is the most time consuming part of this build. I'm really thinking about doing a conversion on my 99 outback wagon to a bug eye wrx STI , if I can get the engine and transmission I want to drop in it.
Yeah another update!😁
While you are at it, make some molds for those! Stagea owners are willing to buy those in glass fiber or carbon.
Man, i can imagine the pain of damaging those fenders after completion 😀. if i was you , i would make a mold of this ones, just in case.
